How long is the alpha testing for Illuvium: Zero expected to last?

Illuvium: Zero's alpha testing is divided into two seasons, and Season 0 has already come to a close. At the end of this season, all data, including blueprints, were wiped and reset. The main purpose of Season 0 was for the development team to address bugs and balance issues, while also ensuring a clean slate before transitioning to Season 1.

Currently, we're in the midst of Season 1, which began on May 25th, 2023. Season 1 will continue until we reach the open beta stage. At the end of this season, there will be another data reset. However, here's some exciting news for you: during the last few months of Season 1, players will have the opportunity to mint the blueprints they've researched as NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens). These minted NFTs will persist beyond the alpha reset, and you'll be able to use them to craft skins in the Illuvium: Overworld once we reach the Open Beta phase.

As we approach the open beta stage, we'll provide more detailed information about the minting window.

And it's not like you're getting an NFT.

Compared to GU you get way less stuff.

It's in a crappy state. There are balancing problems.

And they have real problem with the going first system.

I'd say whatever we would set as a Fixed price if we were setting fixed prices, the top rail should be above that value for sure

the debate will be around how much higher than that price really, personally I am for having it at 25% above that price (the same 25% that was presented in AMAs by team members as how fuel would end up working, except we wont even have a bottom rail)

I know there are others who would prefer it to have more room than that and I am sure there will be lively debate in the future IIP that will be regarding that fixed price

My question is why should we open the governance channel to let someone weigh in on governance if they don't even own a single ILV? It's not a direct parallel but I would liken the governance channel to 1) Shareholder meeting in Web2, 2) Utility company meeting discussing with the community upcoming electric/water changes, 3) Schoolboard meeting talking through decisions on budget, etc. These types of meetings are almost always open to the general public for transparency but closed for commentary to individuals that are not part of the community being impacted.

It is limiting, but it's limiting in the same way that it's undesirable to have, as an example, a foreign government interfere in domestic policy. We're elected by ILV holders to serve ILV holders. We will need accommodation for players as well, likely through verification of gameplay NFTs.

Single individuals would post on alt accounts, bolstering their position by reinforcing their core argument on those accounts, and ultimately having disproportionate sway over the conversation. This was a negative experience on multiple fronts - It detracted from genuine debate, and gave a skewed perspective of the response to proposals.
