I expected PvP to come a lot faster. Its been like what, 9 months since the first arena beta and we still dont have any indication that deckbuilding or PvP (the most important parts) are anywhere near ready.

First we need pvp.
I think a few weeks after the launch would be good.
We don't need right at the beginning 2 mil people.
We need them a few weeks after the game is launched. Maybe there are some bugs or stuff that we need to fix.
If people joining and see it has bugs or something is not working right they will leave.
But that's only my personal opinion.

Not having deckbuilding is the thing thats really turning me off. If we could at least come up with our own strategies to play with it would have a lot more replay value, right now the random deck every day feels like its basically the same 2 or 3 strategies over and over.

Yeah I wish they went with regular updates in atleast a monthly format, instead of big chunks every 3-6 months. Could have continuous testing with feedback being up to date to steer development. Imagine having the monthly dev blog along with patch notes every month, explaining progress and what has improved. Along with an illuvium showcase going through everything. I do understand this slows down the entire process, but at least people mentally and monetarily invested in the project could be watching it "grow up" with a month's lag time.

I'm excited for blockchain web 3 gaming events that are of decent scale tbh regardless if its immutable or not, for example Drdisrespect's game on polygon was absolutely amazing for a web 3 game in terms of the eyeballs and attention it got from mainstream gamers

Things like that slowly help the narrative shift and adoption to happen one step at a time
