A ton of different aspects to look at if you're going to compare them to something like a 1st edition pokemon cards. Completely different generation, thought processes and sentiment completely different within the targeted market, I mean even at this point the majority of "gamers" still refuse to play "scam" crypto games etc. As mentioned above, currently 4.6k owners, unless things like the price difference in these alpha's etc don't start changing for the better, you're more likely to lose players rather than gain them, from a pool that is already scraping the barrel it seems. Not here to fud, jsut speaking a general opinion, God's Unchained is a brilliant example as well.

It’s where the game lore info will be kept and viewed. So when the first player sees an illuvial their name will be added to the repository information for that illuvial. It will also contain blockchain data regarding how many of each illuvial or even other NFT assets there are.

I’m definitely extrapolating some info here based on past conversations.

I think the idea is that the "Alpha" status is a similar concept to the 1st Edition cards... but the execution and the product itself is different, of course. The distinction in the case of Alpha vs Non-Alpha lies solely with the Illuvitars themselves, not the accessories (as you've now noted). So there is a difference in the Illuvitars produced from an Alpha D1sk.... and people are paying a premium for that.

All we can really do is speculate on the prices of Alphas vs Non-Alpha illuvitars for now. This was the team's first run at an Alpha sale and there will be more. Things can change and be improved upon before the next wave, if necessary.

But one thing to keep in mind is that purchasing Illuvitars is not a requirement to play the Illuvium games (unless you're trying to complete collections in the Beyond album). If a "player" is choosing to leave because there isn't a big enough gap between Alpha and Non-Alpha Illuvitars, then I'm left to assume there weren't intending actually play the games 🤷

Not gonna lie, apologies, I completely missed this comment while reading something else 😂 I can get on board with the 1st edition standard concept, and I agree with it in the most part, I just don't agree that it was sold at a premium when it has no advantage over the non alpha at all. If that was the case I think a 1st wave of unique cards with Alpha, then a second unlimited wave with a completely different set of nft's would have been a better approach. Genesis cards in GU for example (taking away the game aspect though as they've now caused problems).

We're kind of saying Alpha is the 1st edition, but by making the same NFT's in non alpha at the exact same time with no other benefit, you're just asking for the up front premium rather than rewarding the early adopter if that kind of makes sense? Taking pokemon cards as the example on 1st edition, you didn't pay a premium for those cards at the start, they were just in the packs along with a common pidgey lol

I think no to this one… sILV2 has an interconnection with ILV… if sILV2 is spent ILV is burned… and sILV2 can only come from claiming as rewards from ILV staking… so there is no way to produce more sILV 2 to be able to give out as a reward.

I'm not sure what that means. Mega disks have different contents than Standard disks. In particular, Mega disks have a guaranteed single Illuvitar with a Power Rating of 1250 or higher. Standard disks have a single Tier 0 Illuvitar instead of the guaranteed 1250+.

I'm not sure what level 5 means in relation to opening a d1sk though.

You can only get T0 from standard D1sk’s where you can get T1’s from both D1sk’s and in either slot for the mega. There’s only one slot for the T0. So my guess would be there just haven’t been a ton more standards opened than megas to outweigh the number of T0’s to T1’s so you’re seeing the T0’s go for more since there’s probably not as many of them. That is literally just my guess though. I haven’t looked at the numbers of D1sk’s sold so I could be off on what I’m thinking

Illuvitars are profile pictures, like your pink cat. In-game when your PvPing people you can have your illuvitar be next to your name, stuff like that. Some talk of a card game, but nothing confirmed. Illuvials are the actual characters/NFTs.

You can see hundreds of trades of selling and buying Silver coins or Bandana accessories at 4500$ 😮
