Maybe one option would be to make the boxes limited to, say, 10,000 pieces. Even better would be to have a DAO among the holders on this issue.

Voting would be a better solution.

The decision to open it up for a time period with a fixed price instead of the usual 10k limit has already pretty much been made and I think it’s a great decision.

If they limited it to 10k it would be extremely difficult to complete collections, and not many people could actually get one. People will stop minting if supply is overcrowded so the limit will be loosely set on how much demand there is at this time. So if secondary sales are going for way less than the D1SKs then minting will slow down until demand picks back up. Or it won’t and that will be our limit.

There’s still plenty of upside if you’re a long term believer in the project. Imagine if illuvium gets as big as we think how much holo/dark holo set 1 illuvitars will go for. Even normal tier 4 and 5 illuvitars may be worth a good amount in that scenario.

Plus it just lets everyone participate and have fun with most people being able to afford at least 1 normal D1Sk.

Look at how successful Reddit avatars are and sure they’re not setup exactly the same as they do have some limits, but they have so so many collections that it’s has a similar affect. People love it

No. There will be a wipe on Feb 21. After that date we start over and any blueprints that you get will be yours to keep forever. However, before OW is released, things will be wiped again (except those collected BPs). Land owners will have a bit of time (Not sure how long) before game release to build up some fuel to have on the market for when the game starts.

Illuvials in each set will have a finite supply. They are on a bonding curve. As time goes on, they will become harder to capture. The main in-game burn mechanic comes with fusion. To fuse a stage 2 Illuvial, you need to combine three stage 1's of the same type. It's the same for stage 3. You would need to combine 3 stage 2 illuvials. The first set will be genesis Illuvials, and once the 2nd set is released, you will no longer be able to capture the first set in the wild. You can still buy them from other players in the Illuvidex / P2P marketplace.
