Governance:

Here, you will gain more ILV (or sILV2). Additional ILV will increase your voting power in governance & increase your share of vault distributions.

Vault Distributions:
When you stake ILV, you share in Illuvium's success and earn a passive income of additional ILV, funded through in-game purchases and fees. Vault distributions will only be available from sales once the game and Illuvidex launch.

Aaron did mention something in the sushi ama about changes post open beta where illuvials "wont be afraid of you", but the wake will still be a factor, my interpretation is that when striking the wake, the illuvials might pop out of the wake and be battled in the overworld, but thats just my guess, all games have been stated to continue with new features and improvements post open beta

Nope, but you should be aware that the delays are not related to anyone's negligence or the team being lazy... they set that original date way way too soon for the scale and quality the brand is to stand for. All 3 games in the eco system have a beta out and we are definitely coming alot closer to full launch

It looks like claim yield rewards is for when you claim initially, as no ILV is being transferred, and claim vault rewards is at the end of the 12 month period where you can actually claim ILV.

How long is the alpha testing for Illuvium: Zero expected to last?

The alpha testing for Illuvium: Zero is expected to be split into two seasons.

Season 0 is currently planned to last for 6 to 8 weeks, during which all data (including blueprints) will be wiped and reset. The purpose of Season 0 is to allow the development team to fix bugs and balance issues and prevent any issues that may arise if player data needs to be reset.

After Season 0, the game will move on to Season 1, which will last until the open beta stage. Another data reset is expected at the end of Season 1. However, players will be able to mint the blueprints they researched as NFTs during the last few months of Season 1. Those minted NFTs will persist beyond the Alpha data reset and can be used to craft skins in the Overworld once we reach the Open Beta.

More information on the minting windows will be provided as the game approaches the open beta stage.

In the open beta Aaron has said there won't be starting illuvials, but the ranger will be strong enough to kill a T0 alone. This is to prevent bots creating thousands of accounts and generating thousands of starter illuvials
