What is Crypton?

Crypton is one of the three fuels found in the Illuvium Universe. In the Illuvium: Overworld, it is used to travel to higher stages in the Crimson Waste region, where more powerful Illuvials and resources can be found. Where are all the items I collected?

To access the items that you have collected in Illuvium: Overworld, players can follow these steps:

1. Go to Sanctum Mesa and interact with the locker storage by pressing the E key. This will open the locker storage and show all the items that you have collected and crafted.

2. Right-click on the items you want to transfer from your locker storage to your inventory.

3. Once items are in your inventory, you can use them in future travel cycles.

Keep in mind that items are automatically transferred to your locker storage when you go back to Sanctum Mesa, so make sure you transfer the items you want to use in future travel cycles to your inventory before starting a new travel cycle.

That's very tough to answer as it's never happened before there's no data to make an easy decision. Personally I bought just a little land because I believe in the devs and a 5% share of total rev covers costs reasonably well and the game looks really really interesting 🙂 but investment wise... I think ILV is a better option for pure ROI. You should absolutely not take this as financial advice but perhaps that helps give you a start point? 🙂

probably your computer, when you are on the loading screen, try reducing the settings to low, disable nanite and go to windowed mode, see if it's enough

What is Crypton?

Crypton is one of the three fuels found in the Illuvium Universe. In the Illuvium: Overworld, it is used to travel to higher stages in the Crimson Waste region, where more powerful Illuvials and resources can be found. Honestly, if this extra loop existed in the beta, removing the kind of overwhelming part of the daily arena quests, and you had a reason to keep collecting the illuvials, and there prizes during the beta (land, ILV) for people who were at the top in small 'seasons' - I think you would get so much beta testing data it would be insane. @near pier what do you think? (it might be too difficult to code and have them both interoperate this early - i imagine thats the blocker currently)

I played Dota 2 for the first time in 9 years the other day and i was amazed at their UI/UX updates and the seemless integration of skin microtransactions etc - this is clearly going to be a great model for the illuvium world - make a great game, then people will want to have skins on their stuff and will pay for it. Make a great game, and people will want to buy better decks to compete, MTG style - I like the language around 'decks' of illuvials too, lean into that for sure.

I can see that for sure! You guys have provided a skeleton here that I think has very strong bones. It's unlike games i've ever played before, and with the autobattler, you're going after a segment of the gaming market that has very weak competition IMO (TFT).

I can see the UI needs work - but that is super small compared to the loop being good and rewarding, but TBH it's so early, and the actual gameplay, graphics - everything you've released is very polished. only mentioned a couple of bugs that are very minor.
Pokemon did storytelling well, it made an excellent IP, it joined the idea of collecting with animals that are friends.

I invested in star citizen in 2013 - I have about 1k USD worth of ships that I bought over the first few years - they are still dicking around and have had over 400 employees for ages. The gameplay loops there aren't fun after 10 years - they're just a wet dream that they keep expanding out and never finishing.

In 2 years you guys have now created 2 very addictive gaming loops, with an intellectual property that is very marketable - in 2 years with 1/4 of the star citizen team you've blown them away.
The restraint you're showing in keeping the scope limited to addictive loops, while building complexity around the loops, rather than building unlimited complexity and hoping someone finds it fun - that's the real genius.

• This is why games like star atlas are doomed to fail (sorry if there are fans, not shade, just burnout from star citizen)

Illuvials in each set will have a finite supply. They are on a bonding curve. As time goes on, they will become harder to capture. The main in-game burn mechanic comes with fusion. To fuse a stage 2 Illuvial, you need to combine three stage 1's of the same type. It's the same for stage 3. You would need to combine 3 stage 2 illuvials. The first set will be genesis Illuvials, and once the 2nd set is released, you will no longer be able to capture the first set in the wild. You can still buy them from other players in the Illuvidex / P2P marketplace.

How do I get more shards?

To get more shards in Illuvium: Overworld, players can follow these steps:

1. Explore the Crimson Waste region and look for ore deposits. These deposits can be found scattered throughout the region.

2. Use the R key to extract the deposit up to 3 times, this has a chance to yield some uncured shards.

3. Return to Sanctum Mesa, the central hub of the game, where you can access the Forge.

4. At the Forge, use the Cure Shards option to convert your uncured shards into usable cured shards.

5. Go to your locker storage and open it by pressing the E key. Navigate to the Shards tab and click the shards you want to move to your inventory.

6. Once the shards are in your inventory, you can use them in future travel cycles to capture Illuvials and craft upgrades.

Keep in mind that different Illuvials require different tiers of shards to be captured, so you may need to collect and cure multiple types of shards to build your best team. Also, the higher the stage of the Illuvial, the more difficult it will be to capture, so make sure you have the right equipment and upgrades to increase your chances of success.

How do I capture Illuvials?

To capture an Illuvial in Illuvium: Overworld, players can follow these steps:

1. Use your Nethersight by pressing Q, this will allow you to scan the area and locate Illuvial Wakes. These are small, swirling balls of energy that indicate the presence of an Illuvial.

1. Explore the Crimson Waste region and look for ore deposits. These deposits can be found scattered throughout the region.

2. Use the R key to extract the deposit up to 3 times, this has a chance to yield some uncured shards.

3. Return to Sanctum Mesa, the central hub of the game, where you can access the Forge.

4. At the Forge, use the Cure Shards option to convert your uncured shards into usable cured shards.

5. Go to your locker storage and open it by pressing the E key. Navigate to the Shards tab and click the shards you want to move to your inventory.

6. Once the shards are in your inventory, you can use them in future travel cycles to capture Illuvials and craft upgrades.

Keep in mind that different Illuvials require different tiers of shards to be captured, so you may need to collect and cure multiple types of shards to build your best team. Also, the higher the stage of the Illuvial, the more difficult it will be to capture, so make sure you have the right equipment and upgrades to increase your chances of success.

How do I catch new illuvials? I searched around for 2 hrs and all I could find are plants and ore to harvest and little things you can shoot to them try to fight a group of 4 illuvials. I keep losing that fight since I only have 2 starter illuvials so curious how to get more?

yeah but no keybinds settings or tutorial so u have to figure out the hotkeys yourself by pressing stuff

so took me a while to figere oput u can make a portal with holding F key and it sets your respawn to that portal

also if u scan ores it tells you the type of ore it is. in the beginning u wanna focus on the shard ores so you get more shards to capture ilivials
