Ok it depends ..............enterily if PB2 client is already robust or not .................if unkown I'd say as more features introduced in PB2 and its more high profile I'd say the safer route for the team is to make the backend more Stable with PB1 acept the crash's in PB1 before the Higher profile PB2 goes live so whilst we dont like it I'd say let them in to ensure a stable backed before PB2 BUT i'd like to see some sort of patch to adress the current crash's we are seing as they certainly seem to increase with the last influx.....I'd even go as far as to say start....so patch Pb1 client first then let them in

basically all the UE devs Star Atlas have are outsourced, they only have 4 internal UE devs, I asked Rogier the other day and he said Illuvium have around 30 UE devs and that most of our artists are also very familiar with UE (and our scope is 10x smaller than star atlas)

those 4 UE devs they have are working together with their external devs to make sure their staying on mission and stitching it all together from the multiple external dev groups they have

Illuvium have only used external devs for just 2 regions and that alone is taking 4 of our internal devs a total of 20hrs per week to manage them, and they have only 4 UE internal devs managing their entire projects outsourced development which is way bigger than what illuviums trying to do...

this is basically where the concern stems from

Star Citizen is a similar project to Star Atlas that have been building for around 10 years and have still not released a game... and they have 600 people working on it and 200 or 400 mil $ budget (one of the two, not sure)

Star Atlas is trying to achieve the same, plus have it block chain integrated, plus VR, plus more

and all with only 4 unreal engine devs internally and total team (internal and external) being under 300 people and all in 5-7 years 🤨 really???

Kieran is a builder in this space,
this information in his eye's set alarm bells ringing and its not really in his best interest to not address it and leave it be...
like if a project of this scale totally flops its not geing to positively impact the space...

sILV2 can be used for transactions that don't involve another player. It's an alternate payment track to ETH. You pay sILV2, you receive a "thing" (like a travel cycle, for example). At no point do you require Fuel during the transaction, it's not sILV2 -> Fuel -> Thing.

The main reason for this is because sILV2 is burned when spent in the ecosystem, so it can only be spent on things that the game is offering to you. There's also no guarantee that someone would want to sell their stuff (Fuel, Illuvials etc.) for sILV2.
