OW is so empty that it doesn't worth a single minute to be invested in it... I find 1 catch-worthy illuvial every 10 runs (stage 3 runs...). DH is gone. Maybe every 3 weeks one appears (if I'm lucky). T5S3 is 1/month. If I find anything holo then it's a T1S1 or maybe T3S1. It's just empty. It's clear that with players leaving the droprates in OW were also reduced close to 0

Stage 3s for me usually have 1 T5S1. Sometimes not even 1. They are usually so bad on stats that it not worth to catch them. As I said. DH is gone. Holos are only for the low tier shit. There is just nothing on these map that would worth something above $1

We're kinda locking down the dev work for the moment with a lot of people going on Christmas break. I expect that what this refers to is just going to be a big announcement. And if the announcement is what I think it is, then there's quite a lot of work to do to make it happen.

Thanks for your response (: unfortunately it's not that part, that I mean. I'm stuck in the last part of the "tutorial", where I have to choose the drones at my very first time. I can't hit the "hold to choose" button or use the space-bar to confirm. I can only click on the visual left and right buttons on bottom of the screen to switch between the drones. I hope it helps. I started the game 2-3 times and the problem is not solved (already marked as a bug (only on Mac?))

Nope, unfortunately not. I can't send a picture here in discord. If I use the space-bar in the beginning of the "choose", it hits the left and right buttons first. When I click on a drone or move with my mouse to the "hold" section, then the space-bar has no other function anymore.

The same problem with that "hold" to continue situation was visual in the situation, where I have to end the capture the monster screen (like a Pokédex entry screen). I couldn't hit the "continue" button there with my mouse, too. I think that's maybe a visual problem with my MacBook (ya, I know Mac an play sucks).

By the time they get arena right the last player will leave the game. It already takes 15-20 minutes to get a full lobby in gauntlet. They did 2 seasons after launch. The game was flying. They stopped and since then the game is in a downfall. I have doubts the game will survive like this till Feb/March. If this is what we get in a bull market, what can we expect in a bear?

i see. if you see it as economy "slowed" down, i respect your opinion. when players s1 and s2 were here, bonus fuel tops at 450%, and very high demands for illuvial, now bonus fuel tops at 4,500%.. seems normal now is 2,500% bonus on all fuels. illuvials close to perfect 290% not even bought at $50 unless "maybe" in higher tiers. youll receive half of it as offers.

For me, a slowed-down economy is where prices remain stable, but purchases and supply decrease. Right now, we are facing a period of falling prices, high supply, low purchasing, and that is an economy in decline, spiraling downward toward collapse.

This is a clearly non-players influence in game, most o heads of the project, dont even play the game, only one or two gauntlet per day, but they have money, so the interest is in collectables, resume, a few "players" who drive the entire game dont play, dont even good in any game of illuvium ecossystem, but they have money, and the team will do everthing for them because its is, in the end this isnt a game, for play and have fun, just a super rich collections, nothing more.

Open your eyes, see how pissed of the spoiled rich people get when they see that players with less time of Illuvium managed to stay far ahead of them in any game in the ecosystem, as good "owners" of the means they changed the rules, because of course, only they can win

I'll stick with a slow economy, because when I think of a dead one, I don't see it coming back, a slowed one is just temporary - which I feel this is. That said, you make a good point with the fuel market and while I don't know how it calcs on the backend, I have always assumed that it pumps out X number of surplus fuel to supplement what is harvested from land owners - so that when demand is real high, players can still buy fuel - but when demand is real low, there is more surplus (bonus) fuel to distribute out - hence why we see the giant bonuses. It all comes down to less players - or a slowed economy. I would like to see the dev team change the formula a bit to prevent crazy bonus amounts given out - surely there's a good way to figure that out to keep it solid. I assume the fluctuations in bonus probably were incentive to get players to buy fuel when demand is low(er). As for illuvial price - no clue. Could be less demand due to less players, could be the prices balancing out lower because of more supply - lots of guesses there. I'd bet though that when the next season starts, players will be back and the economy will boost again. People (myself included) jump from season to seaon on games like this because the seaons are where the rewards are. If the devs want to stem that, then they need between season rewards OR make the seaons closer together.

I played leading up to season 1 airdrop, prices where good, then as season 2 airdrop were release ,token price fell and everything just got cheaper and cheaper to buy. I spend almost $120 to get my first Ophisto, now they're selling for $17.....thats a 85% drop.... I stop playing...and every now and then I come to see prices, and they just keep dropping. There's no incentive to play....

it all goes down to the supply demand effect.
since most og players have already enough team, we see very few buy transactions in illuvials, unless you sell perfect/close to perfect stats 50-70% less. very very few new players coming in and not willing to buy illuvials as well. thus the prices of illuvials keep going down. and yes, until new season is released, i believed this scenario will just worsen each day passes.

I mean none of us know what will happen. If the player count comes back up for season3 or whatever, then all of this becomes better. I also played way in the beginning when ILV was in the $400s but I don't think you can compare then to now. All web3 games when they first come out have a ton of hype. Token cost always goes down, usually hitting a rock bottom during development and then fluctuates until a happy medium is found. I feel we are still in that fluctuation stage. Until the games are more solid and require less development - it probably will be. That's where I am, but of course everyone has their own opinion. But I can say this, not many games out there have a foundation like Illuvium, nor the governance structure, not the really great market. On the market side.. .I sell less than perfect illuvials.. just sold a scarabok yesterday for a couple of dollars and it's stats weren't great at all - purchases are down, but they haven't stopped.

You've probably seen the little colored marker on the stat pages, that's an indicator of the "quality" of the Traits, so you can tell at a glance if an Illuvial's traits are good or not. Getting that functional involves a bit of rework under the hood, which created an unexpected bug in the way they're displayed. But we're working on getting it fixed

Sadly not. ILV can't be converted in the wallet, as IMX don't allow swapping functionality inside of passport wallet.

As much as that's frustrating for you right now, there has been talks from Kieran that we could possibly be moving onto a different chain, or IMX's ZKevm, where that would be possible (depending on the chain)

So maybe in the future; but for now, you will need to deposit fresh ETH into the passport to use, or if you want to convert the ILV into ETH, it will need to be withdrawn first, sorry

for me, it looks like they are currently Synching the Stats between the game and Iluvidex.... but this means ALL will have the wrong stats, I really hope this is "step 1" in correcting the issue. and when they are done the step 2 will put back the stat as it originally was... but If this is the case, I dont understand why they would not set the Iluvidex in "maintains mode" while doing this to avoid people buying something with stats that is not correct.

As I understand it. (assume nothing has changed in the recent patches) Currently we have 15 different suit lines, each of those has a unique skin base on the Illuvial lines/tier. I think this makes 130 different skins (33 "T1-3-4-5" * 3 "stages" + 31 unique lynxes) . which gives a combination of 1950 skins.

I made a post in feedback, awhile back, about my own concern... that this is way too many combinations and will end up being confusing as well, I would personally prefere one skin fits all suits. (or at least reduce the suit lines)

In shot, it means... if you want a Rahamphyre skin... you will only be able to use it for one specific Suit. (unless you get all 15 skins, to put on all suit combinations... but guess that will cost you 15x3 Rahamphyre + the blueprints to make those, which is a bit extreme)

This means they had a clear structure and use for everything you have bought over the entire time frame.

On the other hand if we shut down OW we don't have any use for essences, shards and so on. Maybe even for ever. Selling ingame stuff that you remove from your own game is straight up not allowed. This is nothing to be overlooked. Especially in web3 it could destroy this project and mark it as scam for ever.

Hmm, the answer I wanted to react to got deleted, but to clarify:
Selling stuff and stop supporting the sold product like this isn't allowed in most countries. Most countries have consumer protection in place for stuff like this. There is a reason why companies refund games like concord if they decide to not support the game anymore. Same is true for assets which are not supported anymore or wrong promises.
We don't have to sign any contract regarding this matter there are laws in place which protect costumers.

That being said I have no intention of pursuing legal actions, but this is stuff that needs to be considered if this project wants to hold some credibility or even exist in the future. Things got complicated the moment we released OW.
Pretty sure that this wouldn't be something that will be overlooked by everybody and arguments that this is bad for the project or company won't help, because the damage done to investors, players and costumers would be the number 1 priority for such cases, which is also a good thing, because it offers some sort of protection from scams and arbitrary behavior.

So, just closing OW without a plan to address this isn't even a realistic option at this point.

Thanks for finally publishing all the explanations we've been waiting for in the form of a blog post. However, as someone who has been deeply engaged with the Overworld experience for a long time, I must say the post does not contain comprehensive answers for players like me.

In this post, you mention that the Arena could be fully completed by the end of the second quarter of the year, and you also discuss your MMO Lite vision. Great, that's wonderful but what about timing? The monetization model, which you present as a top priority and is considered the most critical factor for most players, will lose significance if it comes into play toward the end of the bull run. I believe decisions that need to be made have been delayed far too long, and the content of the post does not satisfy me.

Nevertheless, thanks for everything. I genuinely hope Illuvium reaches even greater heights. Wishing you success!

Hey - quick update on the stats issue. Firstly, apologies for the inconvenience caused by this issue. We've identified and fixed our migration process that supports the trait purity on Illuvidex. The first stage of that has been done. The second stage is unfortunately where the slowness comes as we have to trigger another metadata refresh with IMX so that Illuvidex gets the updated values. This has already started and should be done in the next 24 hours. If after that you believe your stats are still wrong, please contact support and we'll investigate.

The issue you outline is certainly something that will need addressing should the decision to shutdown OW goes ahead.

I do support the idea of shutting the OW down in it's current state though. The quality of gameplay on offer just isn't up to a standard expected by most gamers. The numbers/retention supports this conclusion. To keep it online is to ruin the first impressions of even more potential players and we can't afford to be doing that imo.

Just bring drone runs + L-gauntlet + f2p gauntlet and hope that we get revenue from that. For everything else the project needs years.

We are talking here about picking a fight with poe2 or wow, which had decades of story and playerbase growth prior to its first launch in 2004.

In the end selling shards, drone upgrades and all the other stuff and effectively deleting this stuff from your eco-system has to be illegal in most countries. I am not a lawyer, but I would say that selling assets with the promise that they have any sort of value in your eco-system and not supporting them in your eco-system shortly after is the same as promising to develop a game, get money from investors and just run with the money without developing a game.
Companies have to refund purchasers if they decide to not support the game within a defined time-frame (latest example is concord).
Basically doesn't matter if you have a disclaimer about early access if you decide to shut down the game. Most countries have effective consumer protection in that regard.

Not saying that I am interested in taking legal actions, but that is something that gets dismissed to easily around here.

i dont know if its still the same, but its a bug months ago boss. you can try other weapons too. when you enter the OW game, (after clicking the OW game) while it is loading, press Y many times quickly. when you here like a small beep sound, after the loading screen, you are already using the weapon you equipped. for certain minutes, you can swap your weapons with others in your inventory. try em all out.

I hate getting dragged away from actual topics and insights by aggressive and unprofessional responses, but since you are part of the IMC and earn 5k in ILV a month, it seems quite important to have someone like you informed and up to date with the project and what is going on:

• In the statements from me above the quoted comment it gets quite clear that I read the entire blog post, because I am directly referring to statements and missing details in the blog post, but you haven't read or understood the entire discussion, because your response would have been different, if you did.
• You are correct that they haven't stated that the mmo-lite will be ready in one year, but since the project needs clarity now I took a timeframe more or less equivalent to the current runaway. Also everybody except you grasped the general direction the comment was going and understood that the timeframe of one year isn't important, since the important part is that you won't generate a good roguelike or mmo within a short timeframe.
• On top of that the blog post stated that they still consider closing OW without a concrete concept. The mmo clearly hasn't even finished basic gamedesign (You can read that in the blog post if you haven't).
• Most countries have costumer protection and closing a game entirely can lead to major problems. It is not even only about refunds. I could imagine that epic could intervene here if done incorrectly. This means closing OW might only be possible closer to the release of the mmo-lite.
• The blog post, which I really recommend reading if you haven't, also doesn't answers questions regarding leveling, fusion and all that relevant stuff for arena if OW gets closed. So, we can't even truly discussion any concept, because there is none.
• Even the exact concept for drone runs remains as unclear as it was before

As somebody who gets paid 5k/month you should consider how you response to statements, since everybody else focused on the topic.

Hey guys. My 2 cents: I have actually come to LIKE the current Overworld. Sure, stuff needs to be done, but I already like it. The thing that is missing the most imo is actually more quests. I was really blown away by the quality of the tutorial. WE NEED MORE OF THAT!
Look at WoW back in the day: quests were just "grind X". That is already something, together with some story. Let the NPCs in Sanctum mesa do something. There could be hundreds of quests just for hunting the different Illuvials. Maybe you get an enhanced chance for an encounter with the particular creature you are looking for?
Quests could also tie in with the lore bits spread around.

And then we need the possibility of interacting with other players, at least in sanctum mesa

Sure hope this hotfix somehow fixes my GPU getting murdered since the last update. GPU usage went up like 40-50% - even after dropping all graphics to levels not previously needed. (Lows nearly across the board, and the second i get into game I'm immediately spiking to 99% usage just sitting idle. temp jumps from a casual 55C to 83C in a matter of seconds - just sitting. idle) All other games/ tasks running perfectly normal and cool the second i exit the launcher.

You know it actually works well in some games. I played monster hunter and the scenery, whenever you go on harvesting tours, was lovely. But that was that. A single harvesting tour. If you didnt have monsters in monster hunter, it would be the previous versions of Illuvium.

And so now the team will make it more engaging. We may just see the monsters being added. Not sayong it will be on the level of monster hunter. Imagine the broken parts and such; terribly difficult to implement. But having something to engage with will be fairly promising from my perspective.

I believe that extremely complex graphics are not the problem, but the focus given to this has taken a lot of development time and money, which could be allocated to have a more linear and progressive gameplay, with clear objectives, the biggest problem with focusing on graphics, is that it makes the unique asset exclusively speculative, since players who obtain for example a Holo or Dark Holo, they simply sell, regardless of price, how much that item is worth, this causes chaos in the market, devalues the asset and in the end, what happens is that asset only has speculative value, because there is absolutely nothing in it to back (as I need x Illuvium to pass this phase, I need an Illuvium that flies, this Illuvium can only be achieved at such a stage of progression, and etc). That is, there is absolutely nothing, if you put only the NFTs they will remain the same as they are. Fall after fall

Stage 1>stage 2 is pretty easy for leveling. You can do it in like 1-2 stage 2 runs (fight until exhaustion).

Stage 2>3 fusing is miserable and is like 8 stage 2 runs until the grey out on each run.

I've never been able to launch a game of leviathan yet, few players.

And too focused on continuing to xp in OW, I've never tested with gyro

I've been a bit disappointed with umbre so far in normal gauntlet. Slayer is hard to get into and I don't see the point of getting dualeph in at the same time for steam.

I think it's strong, but these synergies are hard to get and it's less useful without synergy/composite.

i play 1 game, in common ranked. with 2 slayer and 3 mystic. my Umbre doing 60000 dmg, think in leviathan it will be x3-x5

If I compare it to Rhamphyre, for example, I prefer Dualeph a thousand times, I think it has quite good mechanics

Have you made sure you have actually infused the gem?
The gem will not work in it's raw form; go to the forge > gemstones > and infuse it with essences
