I think it's been mentioned somewhere already, but we're working on a way to indicate the overall "quality" of an Illuvial's Traits, to make them easier to understand. E.g. attack speed is more important for a fighter than a tank, and resistance is more important for a tank than a fighter. And nobody cares about movement speed 😆 So, say two of the same Illuvial both have 200% in their traits, but the quality will be different based on the individual distributions. Or two different Illuvials have identical Traits, but the quality could still be different based on the Illuvial's role

The way I understood is, is that they want to fix a run to be certain USD amount. In that case if you're buying fuel now for like 1 run and the fuel price continues to decline, you won't have enough for a run at that point. Meaning fuel inflation will kill your stash.

Pretty sure that you got this wrong.
They want a fixed USD amount that is true, but they will set a price for x fuel. That means 1350 fuel will cost x$. They won't change the amount of fuel you need for a run.
In regards of how much x will be, Kieran said that they are thinking about 50% of the upper rail. Tbh, I hope they choose a lower amount, because in my mind 50% of the upper rail is 5$ for 1350 fuel. (Upper rail = the amount we started with on launch?!)

What's happening in Overworld? It's the second time in a run where I win the encounter in overtime and it counts as lost. Can't capture the illuvials I fought for and my Illuvials integrity decreases...

It's a known bug, but it's super hard to reproduce consistently so that we can figure out where the problem is. Basically it happens when you win a match by a very small margin. So the best workaround for now is to use a stronger team

Currently the points earned do not equate to anything! In prior seasons they are what was used for the airdrops. They may be used in the future ones, but I think the season 3 is aiming more at leaderboard rewards etc; but who knows, maybe the point system is introduced again!
But for now, they do not have any purpose except personal achievement!

hard to say, you would need to make theses decisions yourself, to get a DH exhalted Grokko you would need to find 2 other DH greater nature grokkos to guarantee you fuse a DH exhalted Grokko though.

I think you are overlooking the collectible aspect. Many people in the future will come solely to collect and may have very little interest in Arena itself.
Once we have a fully functioning "Pokedex", you will want to collect the full set, including holo and dark holo variants.
Due to how rare it is to find tier 5 holos and dark holos, even with bad stats, these will still hold value as people will still want them to complete collections and there wont be too many around.
The ones with high stats will benefit from both collectibility and usability and have the most demand/value, but yeah, bottom line, try not to overlook future collectibility.

yeah I look at this like one other project I was in early on but not the first wave, was a ccg, and I missed the initial cards, got the first booster pack/expansion, but the big $$ was in the super buff first release stuff, and you couldn't compete unless you paid the money to buy the original overpowered ones. I gave up because I hate playing against people in that scenario.

I am hoping by being here this early (first beta), even though I missed the last beta due to time constraints, that I'll get to collect a whole bunch of stuff that I will like having, my kid will also get to collect these for their own fun, and we also collect to sell in the future any excess, at good but not over the top prices, to keep the game accessible to all players who want to join.

for example for crimson, higher rates of fire/earth illuvials, so better carry illuvials to counter them, but still bring other affinity as well.

It's supposed to be an indicator of how good an Illuvial's Traits are, taking into account which Traits are best for each individual Illuvial. So people can stop asking "are these traits any good?" 😛

The idea is that an Illuvial with a high Trait Purity will have good stats across all the games, even if the stats are different for different games. E.g. a kart racer game might have stats like acceleration, top speed, handling, etc, but an Illuvial that has good stats for Arena will also have good stats on the racetrack.

So you don't have to have detailed knowledge of every Illuvial's role in every game to figure out how the Traits compare on the market, it's all boiled down to a single value.

That depends on a few things, such as utility / functionality but mostly perception. Even Rhamphyre is now achievable for ~$20-$30. That's not bad, if you think of it like a skin. As long as the game is fully functional without any NFT ownership at all, mass market is viable. But it'll ultimately depend on the market narrative and how mass market receives it.

What is the current pain point of OW runs?
Time spent. People with a lot of fuel/money don’t have the time to make runs.

Who plays OW runs now?
People that see economic value from making a run, capturing DH, H/normal illuvials with close to perfect stats.

What is the goal of an OW run?
Acquire close to perfect stat normal/H illuvials / DH.

Who wants to achieve the goal of an OW but does not do it?
People with money, but limited time.

How can we implement automated drone runs where you achieve the end goal of an OW run, solve the time issue and get people with money to spend?
You simply instruct your drone to return illuvials from a normal OW run that either is DH or Holo/Normal illuvials with the best stats. Make the price for these automated 3-5x as expensive, and make no changes at all to anything else. Just add automation. Solve the time problem. What happens in the background is that the drone scouts and finds the best stat illuvials and u accomplish exactly the same as in a normal OW run: where you get the best stat illuvials from a run or a DH. You don’t have to make any other changes. The pool of illuvials that are available in a run can still be around 120.

Why will this structure be successful?
People with time but limited money, can still find economic value from doing a normal run, because automated runs will be 3-5x more expensive. People with money but limited time can accomplish their goals as well, for a higher financial cost - increasing the revenue numbers for the DAO. A win win.

In doing this you are going to cut the profits from those with time but not money. It's a balancing act and when you automate things in this nature, you are just asking for AI Bots to run and ruin the entire ecosystem. You are thinking one person can save time.. but in reality you will have a company/corporation spin up a massive amount of "drones" to overrun the game searching for high stat'd illuvials. We already have bots on the market undercutting sales... I feel we need less drones/bots.

It will still be more profitable than to do an automated run given the cost difference. The main problem here is that there is a Huge untapped revenue source for the DAO. I currently have 100k plus of all fuel types. Maybe i have 2-3 hours to play in a day, i would much rather spend that time competing in Arena than to jump around from encounter to encounter.. What is the result. My fuel keeps piling up.

if you want a collection of max stat illuvials, it will cost you 1k+. just look at the current fuel bonus. which is 20x. and will continue to increase. The current way OW is structured will not bring in enough revenue. This is all you need to see to know that something needs to change

I am of the opinion the the structure is fine but is really needing just additional players. That said, there might be some things that can be changed until the playerbase is even bigger than it is now - but I still feel automated drones/bots is going over the deep end.

this is ofc also necessary, but if you have played OW, done 100+ runs. You should know exactly how time consuming and boring (after a while) the process is, and an option where you could accomplish the same end goal for 3-5x the price, i bet a lot of people would do it. Which would have boosted fuel demand and revenue significantly. There are probably bots running now, capturing only best stat illuvials for the same cost as one that actually makes the run manually. You probably saw the videos from Private Beta where people had access to all information in text files and simply jumped to the encounters that were of interest. Why not make automated runs part of the story for 3-5x the cost, it fits perfectly, the drone scouts and finds information about illuvials - stats and the drone can capture them

first I try to concentrate on memorizing the maps in such a way that even where the bugs run I know the direction, as well as the green stones, and bigger stones are born, it also depends a lot on the moment, if my beast pool is low I try to check all the battles so that I can analyze more than 150 illuvials, when my pool fills up I prioritize the runs, upgrading beasts, fusing and farming ringnuts and flincaps, so at the end of all the runs I have 1 illuvial to fuse + resources to upgrade + shards! and in some cases + efficient fusions
