there were a couple complaints that the leveling takes too long.. playing a little more I actually don't think we should speed it up. We are only a couple days in and it should take quite some time to get everything leveled and to the last stage. Otherwise people will be "done" with the game too quick

The bars on the top of the illuvial cards are the tier. Go from 0-5. Then the amount of dots top right is the stage (1-3)

Pretty sure it does, or at least it's supposed to. Don't know how much, though

the idea is for levels to confer some benefit based on the context. For combat-oriented games, levels should make them better fighters, but say there's a racing game, maybe higher levels give you better speed or handling or something

Not sure if you got an answer on this one yet, you have to deconstruct equipment. Example would be craft an extra set of basic boots, deconstruct and bam 1 common component. You can see the deconstruct values ahead of time to find the most optimal for your play style

lemme just say that OW is expensive AF and that we NEED to give ppl a way to somehow get/grind fuel in game, we cannot just meet them with $ to spend , considering how OW works and how much $ it will require to actually do something. underwhelming stage 1 run for 5$ or whatever without nothing to gain is bad and trust me, they will gain nothing. they just gotta spend again. theres no way to progress.

also.. u get kicked out of a fight after 1 attempt to capture when even 96% fails often, u also lose the shard, lose the energy, wasting a run. not to mentoin that u get sent to base after failed attempt.

Im not sure if its just on t0 where u have 3 attempts or can capture more than 1, but we need to fix that. all of it seems like a waste and theres no way that ppl would pay as much as its assumed

ive spent more just for shards than a t1 will make in 6 months

no web3 game can make it if theres no way to passively participate being f2p. theres a clear barrier that stands between progress and t0 and thats money.

even a weekly t1 free run is something ,but we cannot launch like this and expect numbers.

Part of Test net is about balancing price already, and a T1 run is currently under $2. Considering there will always be a need for the resources in a T0 run for so many crafts, and T0 illuvials for teams I don't think you should underestimate your ability to sell your way up

Try unequipping all of the illuvials and then change the visor. Go into a tier 0 exit and then put your illuvials back.

If that doesn’t work, then take all your drone components out do the same switch visor go into a tier 0 exit and then put them back and see if that works

If it didn't then Stage 1 runs would be basically only Archie/Rota

1. no way for f2p to do stage 1 unless they sell stuff, but after first week that would be nearly impossible imo, as market will be flooded and prices will go to nearly zero.

2. runs can be underwhelming, basically u get almost nothing that can actually contribute towards real progression (considering 1.)

3. shard disappearing after failure, even with huge % chance theres a loss.

4. the illuvial disappearing after a failure to capture, no second attempt which results in a waste of shard, time, resources that could have been obtained, energy and being sent to starting position after fail (even more wasted time)

5. recommending a way to earn a free t1 run , even if it takes a loooot of grind, all web3 games have to have such option (not requiring fuel, so the dao does not lose money)

6. clear difference between earning potential from items in t1 and t0, t1 items shouldnt be allowed to reach zero value as t0 will.

7. fuel reduction/land production boost (t1 will need a year of grind to save what we can spend rn with couple of claims)

8. fuel usage balance, solon is useless imo. will always be useless and my prediction is less than 1% of total fuel spent when we go live

9. more info of what can be done with the stuff we grind, ive only made the thingy that increases amount of illuvials and i dont feel an actual need to have other stuff. we need things much more intuitive and suggestions of potential uses for items.

10. point 9 will be amplified once it costs money or takes us weeks/months to grind whats required to make other things.

1. This will not change. There will never be a way to get the 'valuable' stuff without pay. If we did that, the cost per player skyrocket and the value of the assets plummet. It would be like you get free packs of pokemon cards for playing a free pokemon game online. It just can't happen. You can pry that via IIP from my cold dead hands. (I'm not being combative, just saying that I think this would be a really bad idea).

It really doesn't matter. Supply and demand will balance these. Making a T1 cover all your fuel needs probably isnt' even remotely possible because if that were the case you'd just buy T1 lands to pay for your game, and then everyone would do the same and T1 land would increase in price massively, to the point where buying one will NOT cover your fuel needs because you've spent a lot up front.

Land is not meant to be the way that you cover your play costs. Because your play costs will vary. Think of them as different things. You buy land to generate stuff and sell it. How much you get is one question. Does it cover your use costs is a different question which includes 'how much do you play' as a minimum.

This is simply a case of supply and demand. I don't know what more to say. If T1 covers all your fuel needs, then someone will decide to buy it rather than just buying fuel. And then the price of T1 lands has gone up. So at some point there will be equilibrium based on that value. It won't be based on whatever initial values we make.

i havent even maxed the t1, so i cant really say the exact requirements in end game, but i reached the point where it got ugly and i hadnt seen a plant in 2 months, had to destroy buildings that i grinded for hours/days

I think survival is great with the random situation/adapt - I was meaning another version of survival in addition where you can level your illuvials and have a bit of sandbox to trial teams with the illuvials you have actually caught so far. Will help with getting familiar/skilled with the team you have avaliable to take into pvp/overworld

currently the leveling/planned options mentioned are:
stage 0 run - not very exciting as its too easy/very small amount of exp gained - very tedious
paid stage 1-3 runs - i've been doing it this way but thats with test eth, I wouldn't pay to do this on mainnet. for example i've been leveling some stage 1/2s and i've done 3 stage 2 runs (would that be maybe $10+?), all battles and i'm only halfway to thr fuse level for them. Having to pay to level seems crazy
PVP - hope to match someone in casual or risk taking a hit in your rank to do so. Pvp doesn't feel like a great place to sandbox/expierement properly.
survival - hope your illuvials come up in the deck

seems like a level up/battle sim w byo team is missing from the above. could be very entertaining when made survival style and encounter mods added in. more stages you clear the more exp you get

I like crimson waste though. all spots are close to one another. and once you have a feel for the layout of the canyons, you can do mining/harvesting runs within 5 minutes 🙂

combination of Lucky gems, quick harvesting, and a lot of harvesting.

You get high points for specific high-tier items. and a bonus for how quickly you harvest stuff.

so just harvest 15 T5 gems in the first 60 seconds of your run. and you should be good

they were terrible in previous beta's. 30 points for a T3 illuvial orso xD and 1500 for a T4 ore (not exact numbers but that kind of BS)
