We have tried that before, but unfortunately it didn't function very well as Discord struggled with pushing out the notifications (to the point where some members would receive them hours after). If you do not wish to receive notifications for it you can follow the steps below to supress them

if you do have a message deleted as a result of a banned word, you can open a ticket (if you want) ! we can let you know what it was so you won't repeat the mistake

Depends on the rule in question! The discord rules are generally shaped by the Discord staff (as we have extensive experience modding Discord communities, including this one, and as such know what rules are important to have) - but ofcourse Ranboo gives thoughts on rules as well where applicable and ultimately has top decision making power. Ranboo generally trusts the staff team to make decisions where necessary in accordance with his values

Question; if mods are having a problem with seeing which pluralkit user is which. Can’t it just be enforced that systems using the bot have to have a system emoji tag as an identifier? I’ve been in a few servers where having a tag is a rule which allows systems to be able to use the tool and helps mods.

Or as spoken about above, if mods are struggling to identify a problem causing system they could just use one of the commands provided by the bot. Is there another reason the bot isnt available/convenient for mod use in the server that’s harder to solve than the identification issue?

Why this is a lovely idea in theory and the staff team always supports the liberation of all people, we unfortunately wouldn't be able to keep up with all the different links being shared. The team would have to make sure each link shared has legitimate sources, accurate information on the issues it is sharing, and follows discords TOS.

The staff team is purely volunteer and we are not trained in vetting these types of resources and charities. Going through each link can take a while for us to determine the legitimacy of each one sent. It is one of the reasons why we have basic links also blocked in the server, it would just take us too long to realistically look over each site.

We however recommend to keep sharing these type of links on other platforms like Twitter, TikTok, BlueSky, etc.

We always promote for everyone in the server to stay educated and up to date with the ongoing crisises across the world and support the peoples constant struggle against tyranny and for their own freedom.

The current role colors were picked so that they were legible across most* discord backgrounds and distinguishable from each other for both normal color and color blind vision across key groups. This meant that each role was tested across multiple accessibility standards, which you can read more about here :-) Role colors that show up below level 30 are grouped together, so members/subs/boosters have that pink-salmon-orange scheme going on.
*the colors were selected before discord made the 4 default themes widely available as well as the nitro gradient themes, but the accessibility standards still hold up pretty well

Where:
x = target level (30 in this case)
y = current level
z = whatever xp per minute it is set to.
As you're working with 7-15xp per minute, you can calculate the minimum, maximum, and average amount of time needed to reach any given level by changing the z value and therefore the ammount of xp as well by multiplying the result by z! If you let me know what level it is you're wondering about I can calculate it for you with a spreadsheet I have!

Hey sorry, I have a small question about a question in the mod application.
I wanted to ask about the system alter(s) age addition to the age question? I was wondering why it was required as alter age does not 100% correlate to their mental/cognitive age and understanding of "adult" topics? If someone put that they had a minor alter would this put them out of the running for mod applications even if the little/syskid alter had the cognitive understanding of an adult? I'm very curious as it's a common misconception that because an alter is younger that makes them not intelligent/responsible enough to mod a server /nm /info

we ask for the ages of all alters who would be involved in modding. we ask this for the same reason that we ask all applicants for their age, as all applicants must be 18+

We found that a stream ping was incredibly delayed, so having a dedicated ping for it defeated the purpose since it would go out after stream was already over. Streams are the only time that the everyone ping is used, so suppressing it does not cause any other notifications to be missed.

Could you also double check that it has been suppressed and the channel hasn't been just muted? Suppression should remove notifications for these pings

Hi! Apologies for earlier response, I was confused! Using Discords font system is fine, as users can turn it off for legibility in settings. So as long as you're not copying in a font from outside of discord it should be fine!
