**Rules for the corner!**

These rules are expanded upon in the embeds below. 'I didn't know the rules' or 'I was just joking' will never be a valid excuse for a violation of the rules.

• Do not start conflict, cause distress, discuss controversy, debate, troll, or mini-mod.

• Do not ping Ranboo, staff roles, content creators, everyone, here, or Member.

• Keep the server user-friendly.

» Advertising/self-promo is prohibited, except for artists sharing direct links to their art in ⁠#ranboo-fanart & #art (commission links not allowed)

» Do not intentionally cause discomfort or confusion.

Discord TOS & Community Guidelines

• Do not use discriminatory language or hate speech, including memes/jokes.

• Do not make attempts at or threats of doxxing, DDoSing, IP grabbing, etc., even as a “joke.”

• Do not use slurs on the server, even if you may reclaim them.

• Do not harass, attack, dogpile/bandwagon, be disrespectful/rude to other members, or DM anyone without permission.

• Do not discuss or participate in raids or other takeovers, invasions, etc. of Discord servers.

**Do not start conflict, discuss controversy, debate, troll, or mini-mod.**

• Do not mention or discuss religion or controversy. Political discussion should remain respectful. Human rights are not up for debate.

• Do not vent in the server (including mentions of mod actions on this server, Twitch, or other servers).

• No social media drama.

• Do not impersonate people, bots, or companies.

• Do not organize hive-mind groups, including matching PFP-name groups.

• Do not discuss starting cults or committing mass crimes, even as a joke.

• Do not make jokes on sensitive matters in general.

• Do not be disruptive or a nuisance in chat (i.e. spamming, treating chats like GCs, roleplaying, etc.)

• Repeatedly disrespecting other users via pings counts as harassment.

• Do not disrespect, lie to, or block staff; doing so will result in an immediate ban.

Keep the server user-friendly and PG-13.

• Keep chats in English, using English characters only (including nicknames).

• Restrict emote words to only those provided in this server.

• No fonts, excessive embellishment, or typing quirks in nicknames or messages.

• Do not make suggestive jokes, ignore CC boundaries, or mention ANY CC shipping

• Do not be unnecessarily loud, abuse soundboards/voice changers, or spam join/leave in VCs

**About Bans**

Bans may be issued without any previous warnings; however, three warnings will result in a ban. Ban query invitations will be sent alongside bans that are eligible to be discussed (not necessarily appealed). If your friend has been banned and you believe the appeal was mistakenly left out, you may ⁠#open-a-ticket (use General Help).

The list below includes some, but not all, offenses that may get you immediately banned:

• Trolling (see here)

• Slurs, NSFW

• Spreading or acting on misinformation

• Spreading private information

• Saying your EXACT age in chat (see here)

• Disrespecting, lying to, or blocking staff

• Breach of Discord TOS

• Mute evasion [(defined here)](#1368425486861996043 message)

Reminder!

The spirit of the rules is more important than the exact wording used. The rules are meant to ensure Ranboo’s community is a welcoming and fun space for all members. Users who act in ways that create problems or push the boundaries of the rules may be banned without warning.

Moderators can use their discretion when upholding the server rules and policies.
