You need to level up your account in the server a bit, it not really long, just talk a bit until you got bronze badge

some think it's like an "honorable" thing to wait for the 1v1, but there is also the strategic aspect that fighting in yang is safer than outside of it, but you don't have to abide by it, you can do what you want of course

it's an arbitrary made up thing, you play how you want, they play how they want

i've seen people pretend to not want to fight you out of yang, then moments before it spawns they hit you with a massive attack and start a fight with you with an advantage since you didn't see it coming, so they get a free big hit on you, or just knock you back and enter yang for themselves

so it can be a strategy

I recommend katana and longsword as beginner weapons since they don't have many crutch mechanics and force you to learn neutral. You can transition to learning the other weapons easily from there. Like tabbie adviced. Id also add that I’ve not been hit not too many times with the ultimate (kylin in question) since I harass around the Wuchen or I play around with the terrain. And no, haven’t used ult every fight I’ve faced Wuchen that has used their ultimate.
Listen closely to the talking and sounds he makes while casting the ultimate, first activation then aiming and landing on it.
I’d recommend that you play Wuchen few games to figure it out how it’s like to land the ultimate and how it works, so you can also see if people have effective ways of dealing with it besides what is stated above.

It does not matter if you are good or bad; drops are always up to luck

A way good players use aswell is simply killing a lot of people; the gear you mostly find on other people's after a while

Aside from that, with experience, you will remember where golden stashes are; those have a higher chance of dropping gold / purple equipment

yep the best way to get golden loot as often as possible is memorize good spots and be quicker than other people at opening them when you spawn

people fight immediately over the best spawn points as soon as the match starts, you need to be taht fraction of a second faster

and then you kill everyone there

and you kill some more people

and your chances of finding golden armor on one of them or in one of the golden stashes is much higher than before

Any idea why some characters voice lines sound so loud?

I could be playing a character and their voice sound fine but then play another character and the volume is suddenly loud. And it's not all voice lines.

For example when ult is ready, voice sounds normal, but if I mark something the voice volume is much louder

brocade (a regular chest) got red dupe protection and tidal (a seasonal chest) doesn't so you shouldn't put them in categories like that
