Unity recently did an oopsie whoopsie where all Unity version except some very recently updated hotfix versions had a vulnerability
Affected Naraka as well
May I mention that Naraka took quite long to update their unity version
Which in turn I don't like seeing
Either way, they recently did update to a no longer vulnerable version, but I wouldn't be surprised if it broke something
Differences between Unity versions aren't huge usually, but I think naraka jumped like 40 versions

I honestly think the chance it does anything is rather slim
Unity games use a garbage collector to regularly dispose of objects the game considers no longer important. Process lasso's trim feature is not some magic wizard wand that does the same thing but better, it effectively just kindly asks currently running processes to release memory if possible
But Unity games already do that regularly by themselves
It's kinda like a boss going up to his employee and asking him to prepare a spreadsheet while the employee is preparing that spreadsheet at the very same time

The excess RAM usage happens when objects exist that are factually unimportant but the game fails to notice that, and process lasso won't help the game notice it
Windows (and many processes) also run on a "free storage is wasted storage" principle, so realistically that excess RAM usage also in part comes from the fact that programs aren't incentivised to be RAM efficient unless RAM gets tight

That's actually a lie, if you believe it or not
Many games just do a very basic frame-by-frame hitbox check, which programmatically amounts to "Is something in this box of dimensions xyz at this point in space?"
This is fine until hitboxes move too quickly. If between 2 frames a hitbox travels 20m, then anything inside those 20m will not be checked, because there was no frame inbetween to do the checking logic
This fact is even abused by speedrunners at times. In Goldeneye 007 (a very old video game) people switch their weapons to drop their framerate to squeeze through tighter spaces
Now admittedly Naraka shouldn't be making that mistake
But yeah it's not an unusual mistake

Marko tested his fps and at around 34 or 35 frames the hitboxes wouldn't work as intended on his PC. I'm sure there are other variables, so whether the projectiles don't register during certain instances because there aren't enough frames or the hitboxes literally shrink, the end result is the same

I can say with certainty I've never played a game where it affects a core gameplay mechanic like my character's entire ult. Can an object on my screen move differently based on my devices fps compared to other's sure. But nothing on the scale of Tianhai's ult in Naraka
