Lately I’ve seen an increase in low level headquarters that are able to withstand hits from much larger, stronger headquarters because they have a “meat shield “. Is there someone here who actually is one of those players (not someone just going off what they’ve heard) who can make the best suggestion on what type of troop (or do you train all types) to create as well as what T level to make and how many make the best defense. 🙏🏻

Yeah, one of the players I reinforced last night got my rider lineup (and only most of it because their cap was low). I was hit by a t10 rider winning the first 2 times and still having a few troops left after the 4th hit.

there’s a known glitch where players from your own state’s name’s will also appear in red if you’re both in an opposing state

unfortunately without screenshots detailing the before (ie. proof that their name WAS in red at the time) as well as the after, they aren’t likely to help you much

Doesn't show because you 2 are from the same state, and both were hunting in 254. That's why you have your infirmary full.

Hi, did you encounter a problem with magicly dissapearing shields? Many people from my state had 24hrs shields on and they dissapeared during the night and today they woke up burned and with no rss. Any ideas?

Would have to be reported to CS - there have been a few reports over previous VCs saying the same thing - we usually take a ss with the shield timer remaining when you first activate your shield (yes, it can be a pain doing that but helps with issues like this)

It sure would be nice if they would change the start time for valiant so everyone could enjoy the event. It’s set up for one specific time zone. If it’s falls in the middle of the night for players it’s very hard to find enough points to even bother doing it. Every player that doesn’t have a shield has had their troops killed in the first 30 minutes. I haven’t done valiant for the last 3 times because it’s a waste of time.

Yes I completely understand the game is UTC. The same time every single valiant is still the same time every single valiant. It favors one part of the world over another. They constantly update this game. They should shift the start time ahead a few hours every time they do so it would make a good time for every player at some point for a few valiants anyway.

UTC is unbiased. There is never going to be a way to make it different, the earth is a sphere. Rotating times would cause a mass of confusion. It’s hard enough to get people to remember to shield, it would be chaotic to destabilize the start times. Plus, you can go later when shields drop and those who were awake before at the start are now asleep.

UTC really has nothing to do with Valiant times. It is simply offset from the other events to provide a semblance of balance away from the start/end times of all the other events.
Could it be changed? Probably. Would it make everyone happier? Definitely not. So there is no benefit to adjust something that is already shifted.

As long as you succesfully kill foreign troops that way. You can also send out reinforcements to unshielded allies, or chase down invaders attacking your state, or hit rss tiles of invaders (though that is usually slow)

This is a valient-wasteland crossover question so I’ll stick it here. Valient lately has been kind of lacking because the opposing states have been kind of sparse. Especially with the rule change for WK we’re thinking the way to remedy this is to move up in WK grade. Normally we avoid taking hubs like the plague even though most weeks we could easily take one. We’re at the bottom of platinum right now with a risk of going to gold with a loss. Any thoughts from people if the objective is more populated opponents for valient?

My state insists on the opposite (despite my very vocal protests). I keep hearing the argument that moving up higher in WK makes hunting in VC harder. I strongly disagree, as dropping means that we face more empty states with less opportunities for rss and points. So you end up with maybe a dozen players that can actually benefit from VC and everyone else gets nothing. And by dropping in WK, it means you have to do just as much work for crappier personal rewards in WK.

I agree with you. There clearly isn’t a way to get good data on this, but I agree with your take. I do want to avoid the Uber diamond group of “Legend” (not that my state could even get there) because that would probably be miserable for valient and wk.

Yeah, I just had this discussion (ok, I yelled) with 2 people in my state who were happy about dropping. I showed them the massive loss in personal rewards from WK (including worse gov boxes), and the horrible VC from almost everyone in state. No rss and no points from states that can’t even surround the mud properly. I still got more of a “lets agree to disagree” response in the end. I heard a couple times “it hurts to get hit by monsters”. Then shield and shut up 🤦‍♂️🤣

My state is in lower platinum and going down to gold next week. We've matched with both dead states and highly populated states. Somehow we even matched with S94 🌚 I've personally had much easier valiants since moving to a state I could fight in, but I used to be in a state that was in legend.
That being said, there are plenty of monsters in the different leagues but also plenty of dead states. I'm not sure going up or down would change that.

thats a tough one. My state is in diamond-high diamond range. We've faced alot of sparse states up here aswell. There are actually many states in diamond that have 1-2 super hq40s that carry the state to this rank but also killed their own state off at the same time. I think it just all depends on matchmaking luck and just gotta hope you face a populated state.

Well Valiant is determined by matchups for Wasteland King. And for states having their first Wastelands after having their own Zeniths they initially start in the starter grade. But unsure what this new update will change in regards to matchups.

On Wasteland King you'll get matched with 2 other states on the same grade as yours, most likely young states since older states are usually ranked higher. Then on the next week you can attack those same states on Valiant Conquest.

You can however get insta poofed home if u catch fire on mud…. So if ur in frenzy and want to leave but don’t want to wait you can send troops out while on the mud and get hit…. Obviously not always ideal but has its advantages. Same goes for being frozen. If u get rallied while frozen and catch fire you are ported home…. This is easy to manipulate if you have the right strategies

But most of all, have fun. As in is your first time, you'll see lots of red screen.
Just make sure to not hunt with lots of rss at home. And be fast to port if someone try to hit you.
Remember that your troops at the end of event will be back.

You'll fight against the same 2 states that you had on WK, you could check them out and see if there're stronger players than you, but most likely the answers is yes, so the best strategy is hit and run, don't stay too long on a spot or someone will come for you. Keep your rss low so you don't lose much if you get hit.

First VC was a lot of fun. Spent way too many diamonds but smashed a bunch of people in my HQ range (26-29). Only lost one first battle because they were decently strong fighters and I sent my riders (weakest formation). I think if I had sent my fighters (strongest formation) first I would've had a better time.
Went up about 7m kills (20m to 27m).
Even had a fun little chase battle where I chased them down 3 times and they gave up on the last one.
Almost got zeroed by the battle division's big bad (600m hq35 whale) but was too quick.
