I save modification boxes and bio for Showdown just so I can have quests to do that aren't speedups. I allow myself to do modification without matching it to an event and bio can usually be done at least twice during SD if you stick to the prison trials schedule and don't rely exclusively on schemes. I finally started doing that because it was frustrating to wait for hero quests.

Riders is best against fighters. Fighters is best against shooters and shooters is best against riders. So you dont go wrong whichever way you pick. I have accounts with each. Riders are fastest at marching and decent at lairs.

Fighters have more DEF

But whatever you pick to specialize in - those are the heroes I'd work on first and work on the ones that is specific for that troop type vs. the all troop stats.

It’s basically rock paper scissors so whichever you pick has a counter. Game definitely has more riders so fighters get beat up a bit and you see less of them. Shooters is the middle ground in terms of number of players.

Beta was a pretty different. Players spent money for their cars and spent tons of time and effort wondering what to do with little rules or objectives to follow for a frame reward for top finishers. Rewards were very different from the live, matchmaking was pretty bad, and there wasn't a good scaling in difficulty for players that weren't 2b base might for lv. 7.

I remember our big spending 80 DR's and 1.7M diamonds to heal just from attacking lv. 7's wall guards. Almost all other bigs in state couldn't even scratch them.

We had to reset once as well due to the for being tough as hell.

Mecha and beep made it a little faster, but it is still averaging over 30 rounds a fight

well basically, all troops in an attack or defence are active at the same time. whatever troop type (based on formation) and tier (lowest will go to the front for each type) is in front will be the frontline and do the most damage/determine how well you defend.

when a hero’s special skill fires (you can see when this happens when watching the replay on a report) a specific “phalanx” (small group of troops) will be the ones who come forward and perform this special attack.

It’s hard to really to into too much more detail than that unless you have more specific questions, cuz PNS like to keep a lot of how the battles work secretive cuz they consider their algorithm to be proprietary information

I always just wondered was it a direct percentage cause that has never correlated in my battle reports. people say taxi wall so they stand behind yet they lose more than Frontline troops. so I always just wondered of there was a layed out "rule" for how a attack worked.

Troops deploy in a specified order, but casualties are always equal among all troops present, so if you have your strong troops up front, with tons of taxis behind, casualties "dealt" against your front line troops will be dispersed into your t1s

taxi walls are used to spread the casualties more evenly across all troop types and tiers, keeps more of your better troops alive for longer

personally i have a mix of taxis, and t1s for my non-focus types to fluff out my wall (until i have enough high tier troops to fill it with just t12s)

it performs a lot better defensively than just having taxis would as the non-focus types have thousands of percentiles better atk def hp and dmg stats than the vehicles do

this game is just kinda opposite from other games I've played in the past. most of those had the battle rules laid out. and kids of those you put weak troops in front while your strong troops fired from behind the meat shields

You can see it pretty good with this hit i had last res war, I was hit and lost 1.3m troops since they were a much stronger fighter hitting my shooter front line, but after casualties are split between my various t1s, I end up losing only half that as t1s compared to t11s shooters that would have been up front and taking the casualties

yeah the way damage scaling works means if you use your main type’s formation for defence and have t1s of that type trained, they’re gonna sit on the frontline and because they’re so much weaker than your higher tier of the same type, it massively increases the damage you receive overall because the frontline isn’t able to take as much of a beating without dying compared to if there were no t1s of that type
