the percentage changes, but actual raw stats needed to clear is about the same for shooter and riders; riders move on with lower percentage, but also need more stats to move the percentage at all

You get a consistent source of speedups at hq10, where you can get up to 4 days of speedups every day as you get bigger and can earn the necessary ruin coins, they are necessary for many things, but its also good to use them to grow, whether its research, biulding or troops, they all help with growth, from how you are talking, you are likely still small so its worth using it on biulding and research towards getting your extra marches unlocked
