When I first started the daily duels I was being matched with people around my might level. Now while my might is over 3mill (as are my opponents), it's only showing up as @680k so I have no chance in the arena anymore. I've upgraded my gear and chips as best I can put I don't pay to win so I dunno if it's that or why my actual might isn't being used in the duels.

Any help?

Also @dense rune I would recommend Fox or Hartwell just to get a good healer, but I clearly don't know what I'm doing lol

The answer will depend on which troop type you are going to specialize in. Riders, Shooters, or Fighter. Also some heroes are better for Arena and others for Ultimate Challenge.

Are you referring to the Might number that shows up on top next to your Avatar? AFAIK, that's just the strength of your defensive lineup.

Try to keep refreshing to get different opponents. Sometimes it takes awhile. It's a ladder system so you'll get matched with players with the same amount of Arena points. Right now I'm at 1197 Arena points and I see other players with around the same number of Arena points (+/- 3 pts) when I hit refresh.

The 4 easiest 5* heroes to get/level up are Ulrik, Fox, Requiem, and Ephraim since you get or exchange fragments for them in Noah's Tavern.

If you keep seeing higher might level players, that could just mean you are doing really good. But getting ranked in the Top 10000 each day to get the 500 Duel Medals is the minimum target, IMO.

Be sure to join a good Alliance as the rewards will give you 4* and 5* cards.. Those will allow you to pick from a range of heroes.

McCarty is also available if you swap Rare Earth for him but I tend to save Rare Earth for Module upgrade material.

Nova EXP has no events connected to it so use them anytime. Nova Military and Economy gems give you points for Using them (this screen). Once used there, you don’t get event points for applying them to the specific skills

I've been dismantling as I believe it gives you extra scrap. If you use it to enhance, I don't think you get the scrap.

If you are VIP 13 you have unlocked it. It means you are unlimited to the amount of AP bolts from your bag you can open per day (I.e. at VIP 12 you could only open 14 before getting a message)

Well you will probably pick a secondary at some point for your wall anyway, so depending on how invested you are in shooters it is probably ok to level up riders. I guess I am rider biased though. I just think Phoenix and zephyr are money pits. My main has them at almost red star for Phoenix and red star for zephyr and it took forever(and enough money that I had to stop spending)

In global ace you are guaranteed obsidian frags if you try even a little.

The problem is Phoenix. By the time she’s the reward everyone has started figuring out how to place well. Once epic cards hit (which give a choice between Phoenix, zephyr, and lady m) it becomes even more difficult to place because you are trying to go against shooter primaries, fighter primaries, and everyone that wants lady m.

Upgrading you heroes does increase those things, but u less you a huge spender it’s not going to make a huge difference immediately.
You’ve got to upgrade those things through Nova and research. Mostly Nova. And, to a much lesser extent, your talent tree.

Unless your atk boosts are insanely high, you likely need t9 for level 30 lairs.
My troop specific atk boosts on T9 is only around 1300% and I can only do level 31 lairs solo.

My main is rider based, so I don’t use them in my wall, saving my five best rider heroes cor lairs and the like. Instead, I use fighters or shooters to defend my sanctuary.

I think that’s a hugely awesome amount of troops for a mid-level player. I don’t know if I can speak for the majority but I personally think you would benefit more now by focusing on gear. Gear is ultimately more important in my opinion, but it’s not bad that you focused on troops this much, it helps in events like speaker trap/dead rising and it should make you really hard to zero in one hit 😊

Okay this is a bit more random question. I'm in a small alliance with open recruitment and we see people join and quit all the time. They all are about the same size (5-6 million), they have a very similar pattern to their names (it's never a name or a pop culture reference or anything just two dictionary words smashed together). They never say anything or do anything they just join and then quit. I figure it is some kind of bot account but i'm watching them join and then quit alliances and I can't fathom what their purpose is. Does anyone here run an account like that? Just circling around open alliances and then leaving immediately?

I set up a single lv 21 player as an alliance on Monday after reset, now 72 hours later I have received a disbandment notice in system mail from Fox:

“Commander, your alliance failed to maintain a long-term, sustainable development and therefore was disbanded. Please join or create a new alliance.”

It is not possible to donate diamonds to level up in the first 24 hours. There are limited numbers of alliance tech points that a player can generate each day - there are no warnings of this possibility.

What is the point here, can someone explain please?

I personally don’t do anything with vehicle stats unless I am out of research to do. Their only pro really is that they have a high load. The cons are that 1: they don’t get dedicated hero stats (only troop heroes help them) and 2: they seem to cause more casualties. If even one vehicle joins a lair it can raise casualties. I just keep them in the mill. Some people build them just to suicide them on turrets during zenith to get more of their primary troop on the last day of ace.

It’s due to casualty order and troop advantage. The lair has all troop types equally. So the fighters start to fight other fighters first (they are first in line) against whom they are equally strong at base stat value. Then they face riders, against whom they are weak. But they have to kill them too to get to 50%, because shooters and cars are still there. So a 50% (lair win) needs to kill off all fighters and riders in that lair, which is far easier for riders (strong-neutral) than fighters (neutral-weak) or shooters (weak-strong)

the report in the end doesn't actually represent it correctly, as it splits all kills between the types

It's do with the battle casualty order, supporting lair troops must be behind the main troop in the casualty order if you don't want high casualty levels. Cars are the only troop type behind shooters therefore you can only send cars with shooters.

That is correct. The only ways I know of to get other blueprints are 1. Specific boxes that give a choice of plans (seem to be in $50 bundles during alliance events) 2. Purchasing them in the mall 3. Getting a random one for making 50 nanoweapons 4. Saving up scraps to get one of the choice boxes 5. Placing VERY high in certain events or 6. Getting them by bidding in the auction house.

Use the plans you get on nanoweapon days. Actually, everyone I know who has epics or apex weapons got them through normal craft.

Nanos are one of the most annoying parts of the game. Some people seem to get very lucky a lot of the time while others (like myself) can’t get even an epic for their main March at all. It’s ridiculous but it is what it is.

I personally only have 3 epics. A hammer (which is why I chose fighters for my secondary) and 2 radars. And this is after playing for 196 days. You will either be one of the lucky ones or you won’t sadly. I know people with 35 hq who still don’t have epic dedicated nanos for their primary March.

I think the bidding can be a total rip off, unless you by chance have millions of unspent diamonds laying around, that even 300k (I have seen rare Deathclaws go for insane amounts too)... youre better off spending diamonds on things that are actually more beneficial. The amount of diamonds i have seen go for auction could get me further than a weapon.

Hello, is the battle mechanic for hq battles the same as for lair raids?

I'm wondering if having weaker fighters at the front of the defense is hurting my overall survivability. Would I be worth dismissing the fighters and having the riders as the frontline troops? (They are significantly higher stats than the fighters, even though I'm shooter focussed.)

@night talon so, it's a good question, it probably depends how weak they are compared to your other troop types, and how strong you are

my evolution as a shooter player went from

1. just shooters, 2) shooters and a few riders, 3) shooters, few riders and lots of taxis, 4) a few fighters, decent number of riders, shooters and taxis to 4) decent number of all troops and lots of t1 shooters

it's because, as you get stronger, your general troop stats get higher so your fighters aren't as weak anymore, and also if you don't have any fighters you become weak to other shooters

so maybe depends where you are on that list, I've no idea how strong you are or how relatively weak your fighters are, so getting rid is a good idea in principle, but are other considerations. and never dismiss units just kill them at zenith instead.

but the impact is less pronounced, since it's unlikely you have a bunch of t7 fighters at the front of your sanctuary when you have t10s elsewhere (that's the sort of thing that ruins lairs)

They're all t10. But when i get hit by anything remotely matching or slightly ahead of my level, I seem to get cleared out very easily.

Even attacks by riders kill lots of my shooters. So the idea the lair mechanic is similar to the hq one, would tally with that, the riders are ripping into my fighters, roughly matching my riders, and have topped 50% before they get anywhere near my shooters, then the casualty mechanic evens out the damage across the troops types.

It would be similar if the troops were similar. But while a lair always has even troops of all four kinds you never will find that in the wild.

The main difference is the stats, i was focussed on riders a bit more than the rest, but when I hit hq30 and T10's i switched to shooters for expediency and to defend/attack against the riders that would regularly raid our alliance.

That's why I'm thinking if I drop the fighters, would it improve the chances of my hq surviving more hits? Instead of riders getting stuck into the weaker fighters, they could hit my riders first, then face my shooters.

I'm only thinking that i find riders seem to be the most widely used attack troop.

The best way for your sanctuary to survive hits is to train taxis

But it does sound like you may a few too many fighters (for optimal defence) from what you described, maybe kill some at zenith (but not all, maybe leave like 200k, but again I don't know how big you are)

Leader is fighter and followers are not
Leader is rider and followers are shooter or vehicles
Leader is shooter and followers are vehicles.

Which is to do with battle casualty order (you want the leader's troops taking casualties)

On a fairly new server and 2 members of one of the top Alliances moved their sanctuaries close to our Alliance, devastated nearly everyone (not for supplies, just to hinder) and then moved their sanctuaries away to somewhere else. Each of them was double our top member in power so not much we can do to retaliate. Plus going to take some of us days to heal. If we were a threat or they were taking supplies I would understand (even though it's a dick move) but I don't see there was any benefit to them other than being bulies by trying to keep our 40th position Alliance down.

Any advice or insight?

Thanks for this clear breakdown. We were curious to see the difference so did a quick test. For a L36 Lair with a Rider leader, sending Shooters resulted in 129 wounded. Sending Fighters resulted in 378 wounded.

With the fighters it would depend on their strength, if you get someone to send weak lv5 fighters then the casualties would be huge. Weak shooters won't matter as they're not used to calculate casualties.

In one of such state where they are lots of bullies. You will be to constantly be shielded and still be prone to attacks. Will be hard to grow. Suggestion is to merge into a higher nap alliance or just migrate. As u grow stronger and have more troops they are Gona hit u harder. Ur troops will require a lot of resources to heal and even go into alliance infirmary/ deep healing

LoL yeah, it helps but that’s not a build calculator. GOTC has one where you update all of your pertinent builds for your “Keep” (HQ) and then it will let you know exactly how much rss it will take you and what needs to be upgraded to get from say HQ 26 to HQ 30. Even how much “gold” (diamonds) to speed build.

Is there a production capacity? I’ve been playing 6 months and have yet to hit it if there is one. Production is increased via upgrading those buildings, Nova, and Research, maybe others. And storage capacity increases with upgrading warehouse, certain heroes, and I can’t remember what else.
Right now I’m way over capacity and gas and such are still producing, even with production boost on.

You stop producing every 10 hours. Your output listed is per hour, your cap is equal to 10 hours. So make sure you collect more often than than.
Your food is the only resource that should be a real concern about being over your warehouse limit, depending on how much your troops eat. The other rss just allow the amount over your warehouse limit to be raided by others.

Ah, thanks. I was fooled by the "Sanctuary limit" wording of the help page. I thought there was a different limit that could be affected by boosts.

How long have you been playing? Do you have any big accounts in your Alliance that hits high level lairs regularly? That's how I level up my Commander. I piggyback onto the big account's lair hits and I make sure that I always use up all stamina. Also be sure to use Hunt Mastery every day to squeeze out those extra stamina points.

That's not bad. I remember starting out and being in a tiny Alliance for the first month as well. It wasn't until I switched to a more active Alliance that I was able to improve quickly. The top account in my Alliance solo L39 Lairs and those give a lot of XP and rewards so I always try to get into those rallies. The top Alliance in our state solo L41 or L42 Lairs, IIRC.

If all characters are bound to the same account, you can’t since signing into one, logs you out of the one you were playing.
The only way around this is to bind one or more to a different platform, like Twitter, Facebook, or Google.

With one branch of the talent tree, you can reach swift gather around commander 48. Just remember that swift has a cool down if 24 hours, so you can only use it once a day.

I've tested this myself and had some curious results, when my farm start the rally without heroes I lose, but if the farm send rider heroes (I'm a rider) I win, my guess it's related with the tactical skill. If you watch the replay, only the initiator heroes "fight", so my theory is that if you're strong enough to beat the lair without your heroes tactical skill than doesn't matter who's the initiator, but if you need the extra damage than the initiator might need to send matching heroes for your type

I think immigration changes have made it extremely hard to recruit, given ridiculous costs to fly forward past x amount of states and often players in newer states have some concerns flying backwards. But if you're coming across players looking to relocate, it's really dependant on what you can offer, your alliance and your state as people go searching for various reasons.

A) you are marching to a rally, because the rally and your march both show in the sidebar
B) your alliance Warehouse gets demolished and a sixth march brings your resources from the warehouse home to you

I just tried this on a L20 Fighter Attack (my Research Lab is only 29). I had 429 pts and then after reset/upgrade, I got bumped to 90629 pts. A modifying kit is 100k Alliance pts so it might be worthwhile to do this every now and then once you've upgraded your Nova a lot.

Which books do you mean by „orange“ btw? To me that would be Combat Manual VI and those are only obtainable in Hard Mode of the campaign. You get however red books (Manual V) in 1-20-9.

Any advice to someone who just had his alliance crushed by 2 people who spent thousands of dollars in a relatively new state? (These 2 combined have 260m might, while I am #4 in the state at 60m). 1st Zenith war is in a few days, and things arent looking promising. I am only 3 weeks into the game, so dont know my best option here. Stay and fight, head to another state, etc. I don't mind fighting the good fight, but no chance to match the firepower of these 2 guys, and the other major alliances are scared to cross them for fear of being the next target (which will happen eventually).

why are they burning your alliance? can you make a deal with them? if not, how long can you live under a bubble? I've noticed early states usually have bullies crushing everyone, only after 2 or 3 wasteland wars they start to realize it's ineffective trying to subjugate everyone by force, just scares players away and make the state weak. my advice would be to negotiate a truce and if it they don't agree fly away because it's gonna be hell for at least a month or two

Look at your specific stats from each (top right corner of your Commander Info screen) and see which one gives you the greatest increases and use your refiner mostly on that. In my experience, gear generally gives the greatest boosts to most people, but look to check your details.

order for the promotion of gear based off of what is the most efficient use of promoters relative to stat increase for any promotion, this doesn’t take into account any stat increase from enhancement during promotion, this would obviously be for focusing on a single troop type that you chose to focus on, if you are doing a split focus then that shifts the cubes up in priority as it effectively doubles the % increase per level

Ok then one tip. After you get your occupation points then go to another state and send all your cars to enemy tower. Then you can use the boost to make your speciality troops. Your cars and any other unit except your speciality don't need to heal them but like another said use instand heal every day until the next wasteland.

For me, I leave out the stats that I don't need. For example, if a branch requires you to get either shooter or vehicle stats, I choose Shooter and go down the line, therefore I max out my core stats first, then add on as my commander level grows.

I have done lair after lair daily for 187 days, thinking one day I'd have enough talent pts to max my military talents. But, here I finally get to level 70 and it is not maxed and there is no way to get more talent pts. That's not fair and I see that as a flaw in the game.

It never was intended to work. Apparently they were a bit sloppy with the sanitation of strings, so it made for some weird cases where a whole leaderboard got the color of one alliance because it included their color code in it. Why it took them so long to fix that is beyond me though.

Save up your promote/enhance boxes, diamonds, hero cards, etc. Make sure you have a big stash before using in the gear/module/chip/hero/diamond events. Score enough to get Top 1000 and you'll get 5 frags per event. These frags can be used for Zephyr/Phoenix/LadyM.

After that, I send my troops to other states’ Zenith and get killed.

It doesn’t have to be another hub or turret you hit to get it either. Last Wasteland I hit our turrets with trucks so I could get the boost, lol.

It's up to you what you will choose. Any type have it's nemesis so there isn't a OP type. But if you have a problem with lairs then the fighters stragle to this. You can join others lairs that are high from you or you can join lairs together so you can tank and the other do the damage if you choose fighters. Your choice must be considered with your friends. If the other have all the types then I don't think so that the change now is a good idea. But again the first priority of the type choice is your heroes. Only the heroes and glory buildings can't change. All the others with some sacrifice you can change them to other type. My alliance member do this change even if he was for six months as fighter so there is no late to change if you want.

Why do you think specializing in Shooters was a mistake? I actually started out as Fighter (since I didn't know what I was doing) and found that almost everyone went Rider so it was really difficult to beat anyone. After a few months, I switched to Shooters. It took a long time but after after weeks of upgrading, my Shooters are finally strong enough to beat many of the Rider players around my HQ level.

There are no bad choices when it comes to troop typess

They are all needed and all have their uses

Majority of players are rider and that makes shooters good

They have downsides too sure but yeah

Riders are best at lairs, but there's no way u should be picking troop type based on a such a minor PvE part of the game

There is , but time differs from states. Some has it every .45 minutes etc

Any tips on Otto frags? I've been grinding lvl 10-15 zombies but only collecting Chester's. Anyone notice a higher rate drop at one level over another? Or any ideas.
