It happens when there are a lot of people betting on the rise and someone with more money sells to bring down the price and close the sale with the stops that are lower. It's part of the game my friend, and it happens in all brokers. Be prepared for this type of move in the market.

Its not a long squeeze that you're talking about as it happened only on helix, meaning that MM's couldn't handle the price adjusted to its real time price. Check every other exchange you won't find any wicks like this. So my question is what should I do if I get liquidated because of this? Is insurance fund covering it?

I'm not convinced of that. What would happen if I placed a sell order with a price well below the current price and with such a large size that I could clear all the purchases in the orderbook? Despite having a market price, the orderbook belongs to the platform and if I want to sell cheaply, I can. The issue is liquidity. Helix has much lower liquidity than other market players.
Am I wrong? Is it not how it works?

You're right, however as I can see this pair has quite big liquidity, also the MM's get 50x incentives bonus on this particular pair so I would expect this to work flawlessly. Also I recall there was a spike that liquidated a lot of traders on DYDX, it allegedly was an attack, but they covered it with insurance fund. If its an attack or poor insider execution of MM, its puts only the trader in losing position
