For now you can propose any ERC-20 alts. We have more bridges to other chains coming and when we have them enabled you will be able to list other coins of other chains. At the moment we have two IBC bridges for Terra (LUNA and UST) and Cosmos and we have trading pairs for them. Osmosis bridge is coming and with it the community will be able to propose Osmosis trading pairs.

For the governance forum you don't need any address but you can log in through metamask. Otherwise to connect to the injective hub you can do that through metamask or ledger.

Using Github/e-mail is just a convenience so you don't have to connect with a wallet all the time but for the first time you have to connect with a wallet and link it to Github/e-mail. You can of course just login with the wallet only every time, up to you. Maybe you're from a phone? Should work normally if you connect with a wallet

We will add more pairs. Essentially, the community needs to decide on which pairs to introduce. We are continuously partnering with new projects and launching their pairs on the DEX. As for safety, our codebase has been audited by external agency. Also, unlike CEX you have the private keys to your holdings. Further, ever since our mainnet launch, we have not faced any security breach since we have paid utmost attention to this aspect during the development.

Well, by itself building something like this that is aiming to be decentralized is a big challenge and much harder than just building a CEX. There are new problems that never existed before and in need for new solutions. It is 10x or 100x harder to build a derivative decentralized exchange with its own blockchain than just have a cex that is much simpler to build as there are ready solutions out there.

In short you create a proposal and it needs 500 INJ to be pushed to the voting stage.
There is also a ninja listing that you can list a trading pair immediately by paying 100 INJ that goes to the community fund for Spot market and 1000 INJ for a perp trading pair

@austere basin the historical funding rates don't show on the DEX but if you're comfortable using the API in Python/Golang you can use this request: https://api.injective.exchange/?python#injectivederivativeexchangerpc-fundingrates we'll add to the DEX in the near future.

The est. funding rate constantly changes based on the trades that took place, if you look at the value just a few seconds before the interval ends then yes it's going to be very close to the actual rate that will be paid but if you look at the value minutes before it might be quite different.
