most wild dinos don't drop eggs. best to use tamed dinos for kibble. if you mean the special spawn dinos (wyverns, rock drakes, etc) then yeah follow that.

Main differences is not being managed by Fandom, so we've got much more freedom to make changes and advancements.
Other things are mainly:

• new wiki was launched together with Wildcard who got in contact with the platform (team-wise we're still separate though, for a number of reasons. still lets us cooperate better)
• the only advertisements you'll see are in the YouTube video embeds and above, below and to the side of articles. Ads in those three positions are provided entirely by wiki.gg's parent company, who primarily publish games for indie developers. The ads are of these games, won't be invasive, slowing down the page with scripts, etc.

Theriz are useful for every boss whereas megas are only really worthwhile on brood, rexes aren't ideal for anything with % damage like CMC or dragon, so using theriz saves you some breed lines

I was under the impression the default turrent limit range equals build raidus thus enemies can't build within your limit, only way I see them affecting you is if you build on the beach and they have turrets on a raft. Default turrent building limit being ~33 foundations across.

found 2 ways to disable the floating names. in advanced settings there is a floating names toggle :P and if you disable the HUD it doesn't show

see if the floating names toggle is off

thats in your ingame settings btw, not sure if it can be forced false for servers

Likely an overspawn somewhere. Total wild dino count should be around 60k; Use the program Ark Save Viewer to check the total amount. If it largely exceeds that you can also use it to find the overspawn

@floral warren Prevent hibernation is really useful and I would like to keep it but I am getting fps drops often when I move around. The rest of the time I have 90 fps and ram usage is at a constant 60%. Are there any other settings I should change?

Ah, don't lower it past 1. A high count takes a massive hit when disabling hibernation (I had to go from 4 to 2.5), but 1 is the lowest you should set it

Gportal and Nitrado are the most recommended, there is also Ark Server Manager and a few more. Personally use Gportal since I'm on steam, Ninja uses Nitrado as he's on Microsoft.

The best place to check info would be with the developers usually, check the mod page for bug discussions or see if they have a discord. If you have multiple dino mods, make sure they don't overlap dinos.

It depends. Most servers only take about 7 GB RAM but Gen 2 takes 15, then depending on how many dinos, players & stuff gets built, they'll take more in time.

I don't know about playstation, but xbox you can't host your own server. you either have to go through the game (xbox/win10) or rent one.

playstation only has the consoles, so you'd have to have an extra one to go through the game.

Keep the difficulty at 1.0. Then change the override difficulty to 5.0 Save then restart sever. Once on the sever use the admin command or check the box that says wipe all wild dinos and the sever will eventually replace all wild dino with/upto lvl 150

domestic levels can be changed, changing the tame speed stats wont change the speed of the creature, so you can change this to change the speed after domestic levels are applied to speed.

It's probably not related, but don't use it regardless. Levels that high will just roll over, aside from the mod being unstackable

One More Question about the Difficulty, 600 is max, but on the G-Portal interface its saying that the max lvl that i set will be multiplied with 30. Hey so, I have a small issue with my dedicated server. Last night, me and my mates played on it, everything was fine and peachy, then my daily router reset happened and now noone can access the server anymore (but me ofcause). Ports are forwarded, internet connection is there, I can see and play on it, but for everyone else its not responding. I tried restarting the server, my computer and the router with no luck on any front.
Does someone have any ideas?

So main issue is that stats are jumping waaay to high on first level after taming (have not tested with normal taming, used immersive taming)

After taming for example a Pteradon, and then waited until it leveled once. Went to apply the level-up. Applied it to melee damage, and it went from 224% to 1760% melee damage. Also, on that same point allocation (only 1 point) the food went from something like 4000 to 37680. Any ideas what could be causing it?

I had the person send me stat config, only one that is slightly off is the PerLevelStatsMultiplier_DinoTamed[8]=1.00000 (which is defaulted usually at 0.17 apparently) but idk if that would cause this issue

Does anyone know of any tools to further moderate a server? Stuff like a command to bypass tribes, or a way to make certain structures admin-only (so that even if i join a tribe, someone of the same tribe can't destroy the foundation i built as admin-only)

there are commands to force join tribes and grab ownership of structures and dinos. the easiest way for the admin-only structures is to have them owned by a tribe. can use a command to re-join after leaving and they won't follow you if you join another tribe.

I wouldn't use Animals of Atlas in your case though- It's big, hits load time hard. I only use it on one of my saves, and even then I'm torn on whether it's worth it

Iirc needs to be configged first, but it's pretty simple (it provides a copy-paste for each set of distributions)

Though if you end up using KBD and want the high levels, you wouldn't need it, since KBD has an INI for high or low weighted levels built in. I use CDL since I like the Rag distribution of 'high levels are more common but still rarer'

the map has the nest spots, and you INI spawn the drakes

The tags are already all set up correctly for drakes to work on CI, there's just no drakes to spawn eggs without custom spawns

Not sure what platform you are on but if you got access to a computer, you can download Beacon (its free btw). It has a section devoted to breeding timers which you can edit and see if your settings will work out or not

I've got an ARK server that crashed every night on reboot (it also does a world backup).
The error is The application stopped unexpectedly. Exit code 134. Google gives me results varying from MC to coding problems, and very little of my searches actually involves ARK.
Got any idea about the error?

I’m setting up an event server for my cluster and want people to be able to transfer out of the server with anything they have but not into the server with anything. Would the disable item/Dino download settings be what I’m looking for here? Not sure if that’ll still let them transfer what’s in their inventory or not.

It's possible to do this, for sure. It also sounds like you've found the correct settings. I'd always recommend you test before going live of course.

I know. My cluster is pretty active and I’m afraid if I connect the event server to test someone is going to transfer over to join and their survivor will get deleted.
