Hey, I'm currently trying to set up my pc unofficial server and for some reason certain mod engrams are not learnable. I have it set to auto engrams but it doesn't unlock them and you can't do it manually.

Keep in mind sometimes the damage number render calculations during OSDs can crash extinction maps. Something like Lethal's PvP Plus plugin can be configured to only show your party's damage numbers to just your party and not the rest of the server. Work's well in preventing this particular crash scenario.

I just went through over an hour with my host and we can't figure out what the problem is. Just curious if anyone else has seen this issue. You can transfer out but not in. From any map. We removed the mods. Still won't work.

Is anyone aware of a way to reduce crafting costs or blueprint costs for all items? I use the upgrade station and once fully upgraded and ascendant as you can imagine the blueprint requires insane levels of materials even for modded. Ideally I'd like a way to just reduce blueprint mat cost but I can't find any way to do that, so is anyone aware of a way to reduce material costs for all items?

I don't think there is a way. If you want to take less time to grind out the resources, you can increase farming settings.

I have, but for instance the sword I'm trying to make requires 41,000 metal. I'm trying to stack up 20 mantis for a boss fight each with that sword. Even with increased harvest amounts, reduced carry weight, increased stack size, it's still rough lol.

Yeah, they're not as fast as a person sprinting around with the mining drill though. Especially if they're spread out, since the Anky moves so slow. Even carrying the anky seems slower than using the drill.

I was trying to figure out how swapping from Ragnarok to Lost Island made my crazy blueprints cost way more, but I did turn up the loot quality from drops and I think another loot ini setting by like 5x. I could have sword on the other map the same sword was only 10-11k metal which isn't bad at all.

You can also clamp items to, so for example make it so they can only do 200 damage as max.

Well, to be honest I have my melee settings cranked up and the max level at 300 for regular mobs. So I like grabbing max level Mantis, jacking up their melee to 2000%+ and then putting a 700% asecdant sword in their hand. Honestly with that I feel like they out dps my wyverns. I like to meme with silly setups like this lol.

Then breed and try and mutate the melee stats further. It's insanely overkill in the end but it's hilarious.

Of course. It's got to be a problem on wildcards end because we exhausted everything. We removed mods to eliminate that. Did fresh new games..they verified there files as well to make sure it wasn't something corrupt on their end.

I am basically rewriting the entire ocean NPCspawn entry, and having the x-meg spawn along with its normal version. but have yet to see any X-variants of them. I made their weight at 1 just to make sure its working but none have appeared. Is it normal for some dinos not work on certian maps or SpawnContainers?

In my experience when you are adding creatures that are not native to the map a single creature replacement wont work. You need to actually add them into the map via the spawn code used above.

Once they are in the map your options increase, for example I added R reaper queens in the desert and after that I made it in beacon where it has a 50% chance to either spawn and R Reaper Queen or a Normal Aberration Queen (did not need to add the normal Reaper queen via code since the R one was now technically naturally spawning)

Here is an example code I use. I do use a replacement within the entry that replaces the normal dino with its variant.

Yea i mainly use Override since I tend to redo the entire container or edit it with simplified spawns included but curious if the other functions differently? I guess if it doesnt work it doesnt, but also curious if the spawncontainers have innate properties that can affect NPCs within them like cave containers making things untameable, and disable their wander AI. At least the LostIsland abb cave spawns right now just spawn on top of each other and sit there.

In your case the X megs specifically won't work due to alpha random replacements and there's nothing you can do about that since you mentioned you were on PS4, right?
And the spawners themselves hold properties like untameable yeah, not something you can alter with INI (containers arent the same as spawners themselves)

New server here: our loot crate drops usually happen to land on almost perpendicular surfaces (like mountain sides where you can’t land and pick them). Is there a way to set it so that it doesn’t happen?

This worked nicely raising the number of spawns and a daily wild wipe. There is a command that you can also run to count the number of spawns that are live on the map at any one time

We went and did beat the end boss and was only able to learn hair styles? anyways, when I look at the settings it says ascension "yes" we did get the Alpha Ascension implant from beating the boss. Since you are on computer there is a program called beacon you can get. It has a free and paid version (that being 1 one off $15) but it will allow you to customize 99.9% of your server super easy, best part is if you have a Nitrado server you can link beacon to it and it will transfer all the changes for you. Otherwise you will have to do it yourself

Extreme example but something like primal fear alone will be FAR more impactful than half a dozen spawn-adding mods

That said, I honestly would recommend INI or simple spawners over direct spawn adding mods, especially if you want a challenge, since you get to choose what you put where and how mean you make it. I like to make stuff like super rare packs of reapers, for example, which you probably won't find in any mods. INI over simple spawners though, for compatibility and performance (though a few things do need a mod either way. Stuff like x raptors and deinon need a mod to either fix the thing that turns them into normal raptors, or I assume simple spawners won't respect random replacements- what spawns alphas- which is what breaks them).
Personal combo I would go for INI for spawns themself, mod to fix replacements, and simple spawners for eggs

Ultimately depends how much effort you're willing to put into it what fits best for you though. I'd say INI with a little support for eggs and alphas all the way if fully custom porting wouldn't be a massive task

If you do want to look at spawn adding mods, I can recommend both cross-genesis mods, don't have experience with any other ones though aside from 'I'd avoid any that are map extensions'

Like in my friends world If you harvest a bush it would give a small amount of everything but in my server it would give a large amount of one berry per grab

After I added Simple Spawners to my server and placed 1 simple spawner, I was able to get in about 2 times and now every time I go to load in the server my game stops responding right after it tries to load 1 mod... I am in process of validating my files right now but would Simple spawners cause this or would it be more on my side of things?

if it crashes, DM me the crash log.
if it just stops responding, wait a few more minutes. it's probably still loading.

I don’t even know anymore mate 😭😂 like I’ve done the ini files and what not but some of the settings haven’t changed like the number amounts and when I try and change them it’s telling me they ain’t valid but I used the same number amounts on gportal and they worked fine 💀

Tried dming you but you have it set up so I can't. But anyways if you are using nitrado and are not super adept at coding the best thing I can recommend is an app/software called Beacon it is an open source coding tool for nitrado

Is it normal to not be able to find a Nitrado server by searching for it by name in the server browser? I've always been able to find them in the past but the new one I just rented doesn't show if I search for it. I had to manually add it to my favorites in Steam to be able to find and join it.

Not sure what platform you in but this the wrong channel to promote your server.

Once you have your platform role head to the pve or pvp server channel to advertise your server
