try to add "OverridePlayerLevelEngramPoints=50000" into ini, it can add you 50000 engram points on lvl 1... and y, ez engram mod is broken now, i uninstaled it and my server is working properly

if you run unofficials and are have been having issues with ctd or homescreen on consoles, get rid of ez unlocker and you should be good found that out finally after having this issue since roll out of patch last night

ok its working fine solo mod if you want to test it my server is fast level not instant but fast just grab fiber and make hats or whatever is the fastest put your crafting skill 2000 or more and it levels fast but it shows the mod is working as intended.

it was doing what your other command did, i added that command to my .ini , and removed the mod. and i have the exact same effect now without the mod

someone suggested i put this in my game ini and i did, i removed mod and added this. i leveled up after, and it automatically unlocked my engrams. without the mod. it works without the mod. you are looking way to far into this, many people are saying it doesn't work. you are saying it does but you're only providing what is already used as a workaround + the mod itself.

whoever set it up likely just started it up...and hasn't rebooted it since the first bootup. ark won't use the configured name until the second bootup. That name you gave is the randomly generated name it gives on first bootup

the only thing i noticed it does do is reset the already learned tek everytime the char learns more engrams the tek would reset to 0 and unlearned but thats easy enough to manual learn just those ones.

like i said, without mod i don't crash, with mod i crash. this is the same for many right now and is the only reason i came here searching for different things when i saw that it was the reason i was crashing

in all likelihood the reason you weren't crashing is because your mod is doing literally nothing

the other command is overriding it

things don't need insanely deep dives into figuring out if something is or isn't working, if it's as simple as turning it off and it fixes the issue then sometimes it's best to just leave it at that and wait for the mod creator or ark to fix what got borked in the first place

delete appmanifest_2430930.acf from your steamapps folder where steamcmd is installed...and run the server. it will validate the install and start the upgrade. Did this with 3 of mine that hadn't been updating since the patch yesterday

and this is how you specify only certain engrams get learned for say pvp servers that prevent tek until a certain level.

was changed in 2020 i was reading some steam forums, so knowing that the modders of asa just carried it over from ase as somthing to author thats fine but if its not needed that basicly they are wasting both our time, however, in a post the engram settings stopped working during an update but resumed fixed after another 🙂

Everything was working without any errors last night. Me and a friend simply left the server for an hour, came back, and then we couldn't log in anymore. It shows that the network version was a bigger number, but the server or client never appeared to update. Now we can't get in at all

Ohhh I see, I figured out the problem, you accidentally gave me half-incorrect info

The manifest file I had to delete was the one inside of the ark server install directory. Not the steamapps file in SteamCMD, hopefully this will help others too

I have a hypothetical for this. To prevent the manual deletion of appmanifest every time an update occurs, I'm going to test putting a delete function at the start of the bat file that updates the server. There should be no manual intervention for an already-automated process

from what I saw when I compared my scorched earth server's old file to the new file, was the old file had several of the values zeroed out, the new file did not

I can confirm it 100% works. use del "PathToYourAppManifest.acf" in your batch file that updates the server, then on a new line, call for SteamCMD to start the server updater, fully automated process to update now. No need for manual deletion

I don't know how you would check your installation on console. the instructions are OR. remove the mod OR run an install check OR (remove the mod and put that line in your game.ini)

unless you have a mod that allows the same as ini editing, your options are more limited

Hey all, have a question regarding Ark Survival Evolved and I'm hoping someone familiar with Ark Server Manager can help me out. I'm getting ready to port our old cluster over to Haruhost and I'm curious if there is a way to export the command line, game.ini and gameusersettings.ini from ASM to file so I can import the settings into Haruhost to save some time. If it isn't possible then I could manually create the .ini files and commandline, but that's tedious and is gonna take a ton of time.

question as we were looking at it to set up a seperate cluster. why are you changing from it ?

The decision to change to Haruhost was based on the bugs in ASM, losing profiles, and the over complication of backups and what not really were the deciding factors. I use Haruhost for the ASA cluster and it offers a good bit of automation for backups, saves, scheduled events and other things that aren't easily done in ASM. Plus Haru is just much easier to use in general and would coincide well with our other cluster.

Haruhost is free to use, you can pay for the premium stuff if you want the more advanced features, but since I don't host my servers through a provider and do so using my own commercial equipment and net connection, I don't need those bells and whistles. But for anyone paying for hosted servers its a nice option. 🙂

ok, so the game client needs update - but the servers only require the mod for xmas to be added to the start cmd. if i do not want to run the xmas thing - how do i update the server so my updated client can see my player ded-serv? when i tried to run the usual bat file i used to update servers it didn't update anything - it jsut showed it attempt twice to reconfigure and then was done

Now I’m wondering if the scheduled wipes are actually making a difference. Still bad but not barren like yourself and others. I’ve noticed since the last patch that only a handful of creatures aren’t spawning with the rest, and the Tek Quetzal doesn’t even appear in the scan.

If I try to throw out the Cryo from the Raptor Claus Letter (dino) from the Winter Wonderland event, the server crashes immediately. It doesn’t matter which map it is. Does anyone else have this problem?

Yes, I have the same issue. Cryos are locked for crafting on our server, but everyone can use them without a fridge. We use a Cryo mod and simply disable the regular ones because of Club Ark. So far, we’ve never had problems—only now with the ones from the Winter Wonderland event.

What I mean is that the Cryos work normally; only crafting them is disabled. Until now, we’ve never had any problems.

Be sure the WW mod is first in the mod order and be sure you dont have any broken mods. Several are causing issues, like Dino depot and pull it.

WW shouldn't need first. mines not and afaik only overhaul mods will need it.

You might have an issue with WW or a conflict with other mods. You might not be able to run it. Most are fine with it, but some have issues.

Note that if you are running conversion mods such as Guilds and Goblins or Nemesis/Chaos, then running the WW with them isnt recommended.

Some have issues. I dont know the ins and outs of that mod. OR its not that mod at all.

Some players have to be killed and go thru the respawn animation to get back onto their server. But not sure with this information. But your description is typical of a mod issue.

I have a question, if anyone is able to answer. A friend and I have a cluster of two servers. When Extinction launched we had some issues with some of the mods, so we removed a good few of them. Yesterday, some of them got updated so I added them to my server, but he hadn't since he was sick, and I just now got access to his server to re add them. Now, to my question. When doing so, and logging back in, my inventory was completely gone. Is there any way to get it back? Or see logs of what was lost etc? Lost at least 8 ish hours worth of pocket inventory and a handful of tamed dinos I was going to transfer over to my server so I'm a bit lost like the items

I have a .arkprofile from Aberration, and need to replace their player on The Island, so they respawn with their updated Implant.

The Island server has -usestore save method, so everything is combined in with the .ark file.

Can I open the .ark file as a zip/archive maybe? Or is there a better way?

Do I need to boot up Aberration so they can transfer from there instead of The Island?

there is a pin in here that tells what and how -usestore (and its other settings) works.

I just moved all our saves to -usestore, but in a transition period where players last on Ab I'd prefer them login to always-running The Island

but seems I'll have to temporarily bring up the last ARK they were on so they can transfer from there instead.

Old method was to just copy/paste their .arkprofile and let them respawn their character and it's as if they were always on that map.

For good measure, if you're cranking it super high, I would edit all of them, just to be safe, and ensure nobody's tames are getting poofed. Set max tamed dinos way above the soft tame limit.

Hi folks, we have several players getting a network timeout failure on login, and several players who aren't able to connect to extinction at all. There is a 32GB RAM one. Running all the story maps for me and a few friends, starts up in like 2 min or so. No lag or issues.
If its just for you and a couple of friends, then 4 cores will run many maps and RAM will be your limit.
I have the 32GB version and also added on 32GB VRAM to squeeze in a map or 2 extra.

If you are planning to have a large number of players on all maps then CPU will be a constraint but you really need to ask what your number of players will be.

I must add i run my cluster on linux (using proton \ docker) so the operating system footprint is also way less than windows which helps a ton

while a mini pc like that can work, its generally recommended to go with something more powerful because ASA can be heavy and if players are all spread across multiple maps doing some heavy stuff, im not sure if a mini PC like that would handle it well

yeah the 7950x is a good cpu, single-threaded performance matters quite a bit and it'd give you 32 threads, performance will also be a bit different depending if u are hosting a pvp server or not... pve servers tend to eat more resources because players build bigger bases and have more dinos... for example i run a pve cluster and right now on idle the island is using up almost 16gb of ram, but its also the map that's been running the longest

Dino Depot is a little different as it doesn't cause the crashes as you join, only if you use the functions of it that cause the crashes.
The others seem to crash you on join and are more problematic, though Ez's Engram Unlocker seems to work in some cases where the auto engram ability is enabled in the ini.

if you have ASA installed go to library, right click ASA, select properties, select DLC

They don't uninstall, and seemingly can't be uninstalled. Unchecking the mark does nothing, and the maps aren't separated in files afaik

just bought ascended on steam, cant even play the game though because when i try to play unofficial or even official it makes me download mods, i go to download them then it says not enough mod storage space. i dont have any other mods downloaded i literally just downloaded the game and my ssd still has around 130 gigs of storage left

every map is a dlc, only the island is included in the base game, its just a free dlc while bobs is a paid dlc

thanks for the statement but as we discussed above, it's hard to call it DLC, if they put it in the main DL. You don't have a choice but to download the content with the game.

is there a setting to increase the radius wild creatures spawn near structures or tames? we are getting defense units and spiders spawning in our bases on extinction and killing tames. these bases are platforms built above the groud with no ground access so they must be spawning on the ceilings.

Just an update to this. I did a fresh install of my extinction nitrado server, no mods, and I am stil unable to use admin commands. It seems to be across all other servers as well now which is strange since they worked before. searching enablecheats across various channels here, I see some others have reported a similar issue where their admin password just stopped working. some suggesting Wildcard flagging their password for some reason? is there actual proof of that happening? Just trying to figure this out because as far as I know I have done all that I know to have worked in the past. any help is greatly appreciated. I also have a ticket with nitrado, if its something on their end.

I ask this because I ran into this problem too...and found that putting the admin password at the end of the parameter string solved the issue. I actually ended up just putting it in my GameUserSettings.ini...but that's besides the point.

Wasnt sure the best channel for this question. I have a nitrado ark asa server that I am playing on with just two family members. I messed with a couple settings nothing major. I have noticed that both my doedicurus and my ankylosaurus do not gather very much resources per hit. For instance my anky has 350% melee and only gathers about 10-15 metal on average. Is this normal for ASA? I thought I would get 5 to 10x that per hit. Did I mess a setting up? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Both are unofficial, the "difference" is typically that a dedicated is someone hosting the server/cluster from their own hardware or rented hardware, and unofficial can just mean either player hosted or rented

If you are the server owner go into the general settings > base settings and uncheck the box for enable battle eye

If you're not the owner then well you gotta ask them to do that

2 different things for me. The missing inventory will come back when you fast travel beds.

The DC’ing for me was EZ engram unlocker mod and the auto capture on the dino depot. I removed both and lost a lot of creature but I was able to download dino depot again and turn off the auto capture. Hope those help you get back into playing, if not those, I’m not techy enough to help further

I have a root server and have it set so that all players can become lvl 195. But one player can't go any further at level 96. All players do not need to make any bosses to get the lvl

Question for those with more experience with this than I have. When Aberration launched, players on my cluster seemed to be level capped at 96. There was a patch that was released that was supposed to fix this, but it did not fix it for my cluster. Now, Exctinction has launched, and a player that was leveling after it launched hit their level cap when they hit 76. They cannot gain any further xp. Is anyone else experiencing this? Has anyone found a fix?

The game supports only 60hz mode on both consoles. The only thing that works for now is turning on vsync which makes the game a bit smoother. I got ps5 pro and have the same issue
