It would not surprise me if somehow the event mods are broken and it's delayed even further.
Also, it's dumb they would announce patch updates for both servers and clients and not publish to unofficial branch.
I recall ASE we could delete the version.txt and it would look harder for the update. Seems this works differently on ASA.
Guess I'll wait and see.
Saddest part is an update was launched yesterday v31.64 and that was about 36 hours ago.
We dont even have that update.

I can't wait to celebrate Winter Wonderland in January and the New Years event in February. Good thing I don't hold my breath for things in regards to ARK. Can't say as much for all the dinos that fall through the floors and mesh in ASA. Reminds me of the good ole times in ASE where the same bug plagued the game for over a year. Some things never change. The sweet smell of a video card burning is sure to be a hit this holiday season in ASA.

Hello, atm we have a cap on our server on resources harvest. But on ASE we used to have, the more melee, the more resource from the node. Which setting is this

My guess is that the Turkey Trials event itself will be the mod but the event skins and items will be added to the game files as a patch in order to keep everything obtained from the event.

right now, ASA. we have xbox players on our PC server but not all mods are fully updated for xbox so there are a few quirks. the xbox players can still play just fine though.

You need a dedicated server. Then it works and is enabled by default.

If you saved and selected crossplay in the Nitrado browser you can find it. Or webbrowser has a Crossplay check function. That's seems to miss on mobile. Or search on console in the modbrowser

I enabled turkey trials on mu server. The turkeys are popping up but there is no holiday tab in pots.
yeah I am not running through Nitrado. Just a windows dedicated server is what I am running. They need to make a list that updates with all the crossplatform mods, or just add a filter on curseforge and in game. Would be amazing to be on pc to just be oh what mods can I install that are all cross platform

I am having issues with setting up my dedicated server to handle Ascension uploads. When someone ascends via command or the fight the character is dropping all of their stuff in the ascension arena.
This seems like a server setting. For Startup Options I have

When I watch it happen live I see the <steamid>.arkprofile file disappear from the alt save directory and it never shows up anywhere I have found.
When you look at the character on the download screen they show they have weight in their inventory.
When they download the character they select a bed but end up spawning randomly with nothing in their inventory.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thats my question as well. Do I remove all events and just add the mod? What if its late? What if it doesnt come out for Crossplay for another week? What is the best practice here? I'm so scared lmaooo.
I'm not I kid but seriously wth are we actually supposed to do? Is there going to be bad things happening if we are running the event in the ini AND add the mod? Or running a different event? Does the mod overwrite it? I would hope it does but some clarity would be amazing.
this was a known issue on ase, the only work around i knew of was to have players dump all there gear into a dino
yeah typical start on my server is going with no dinos and parachute run with an archeoptryx haha if i find anything via testing this I will just update it really seems like I am missing something

is Offline Raid Protection Broken? When a player joins the game they have to wait about the same amount of time it takes for stuff to go into protection after you logout before they can even access there stuff
Example: It takes 10 minutes for base to go into ORP after you logout that's fine. The issue is it now takes 10 minutes aswell when you login to regain access to your base
one solution players have found is to kill them self an it fixes.

Its their like safety measure so people dont log off mid raid and wait for the timer to hit then log back on and start grabbing all their stuff etc. Its just how orp is now.

How do you get the option to imprint using the wheel looking at the dino instead of the last slot? seen a few videos that people held E (Y on Xbox) to open wheel and imprint with the item not in the last slot.
Many console people need to connect a mouse to see the required food for imprinting.

Yes, although there are apparently some remnants of the old Turkey Trial that you can activate with the ActiveEvent setting until the mod is out.

I want you to know you and your husband are not alone. Windows server management is a huge hassle and until Linux dedicated server files are released ark isn't getting a penny from us either. Many of us get why it's a big deal. Only fools don't. Proton, docker, they're all poor work arounds that add unnecessary complexity.

ah, so stil no way to launch the game with the prior version. or to put it another way, if you didn't want to update your server, and wanted to stay on the previous major version, there's not a good way to do that with the steam client.

Despite 3 updates to my server, impossible to upgrade to 32.12
Events are just a mod now, if you use the Event thing in the settings then yes it will override, because that's literally just there to match official rates in case your dedi server is running on default rates or you don't like messing with ini. But those two things are independant of one another.

They changed it so server owners could run events anytime they please. In ASE once they ended the event and removed the assets it was over, you could only get color dinos to spawn, nothing else. Now you can truly run the events anytime you want.

No they couldnt, not fully. It would only unlock the colored dinos. Event skins, Turkeys, Raptor Clause etc, would never spawn unless it was during their actual even timetable.

All the mod does is add creatures to spawn containers, and unlock recipes in smithy. Everything else is already in the game code.

Nitrado general settings has a dropdown to match official rates of different types servers that will override your ini, basically if you dont like messing in ini configs or just run default rates normally.

Everything from mod stays, mod itself only unlocks the crafting recipes and adds the turkeys to the spawn containers.
if you always want to match official rates then yes, just add "*** -UseDynamicConfig***" in your start bat file and call it a day. if you want to make your own dynamic configs then you can read up on adding a url in the wiki

Dino colors are tied to the dino. Same as if you just used admin commands to set the colors.
They wont spawn in the wild with that color without mod but wont change any you tamed while mod was active, same as ASE in that regard

downloading the mod is 100% equivalent to adding the ActiveEvents thing from ASE. Except it works all year now instead of just when they add files to game.

The TurkeyTrials mod removed the wishbones I've acquired by just having the events enabled using ASE settings.
I'm sure someone was curious if you could keep them.
Also, it's great they finally told us what mod it is, after I've already figured it out the hard way.

Anyone know how to DISABLE Data Downloads for your server?
it only helps when it gets messed up, and alot of peole make a bat to update then start server and have an error in there script where it will start the server before the update is complete and mess up the manifest file

My script is pretty solid. It checks for update and then it will start the server. If the server ever stops, it will restart to check for update and start server again.

nope i have my as 2 differnt files, i dont need it checking for an update everytime i restart it

I had this issue, I raised a ticket with Nitrado. They replied saying the list will only show approx. 70 servers at one time to stop clutter. You can keep refreshing til it shows. But rest assure that your server is visible to random people šš¼
Pick a unique name so there isnt too much competition in the results. Mine always shows
I dont use Nitrado but I doubt that's a host issue

Server not showing, sometimes it takes a while before it will publish, sometimes an hour. Though if you know the name and select the correct PvE/PvP and PW protected type options, it should show up. Sometimes I've had to connect using the IP the first time and then it published. Just some stuff I've tried. I have a personal server running in the other room for the game.

I'm not sure if that actually works. Even WC said to add it to the launch parameter's. It's in my launch string when I go to start the server.

If you have an old rig then I'd suggest setting up on that and save yourself a ton of money. lots of guides on it, and of course this channel
on server start it checks for new versions of installed mods
ok so i have the turkey trials mod in and added like it should b i can spawn in the clothing and such but when i spawn in a turkey its a dodo with the name turkey lmfao anybody else having this issue
Why are you spawning in things? They'll populate where dodos usually spawn. Murder some dodos and they should show up. š

Having trouble with admin commands on a dedicated server. Tried every common solution and got stumped, enablecheats <password> just wonāt work. Is it possible there is a line in the batch file, GUS, game.ini or somewhere else that I can add like enablecheats=true?
It's possible you're using spawn codes from ASE. Could be why it's spawning dodos instead. Make sure you've added the -mods=927083 to your launch string or bat file right after the port information.

ya i put the mod id in the right spot its and such and still not working and ya the spawn codes from ase work just not the turkey maby that was changed
so basically everything worked except the tames

I always have to tell the server I'm an admin first before any of the cheats will work. Set it that way on purpose though. I haven't set up a file to auto load myself as admin.

To be fair, when I enabled the ASE TurkeyTrials, I didn't see turkeys running around for a solid hour. Though I wasn't trying to force them. I also have the ActiveEvents=TurkeyTrials still set in the GUS.ini file. Hmm, really not sure. Maybe try restarting the server to update/validate and also restart steam and your game. I've noticed that sometimes on my own game, I have to click to update mods. Not really sure.
