Mhh i usually get a short blackscreen and after like 5-10 Seconds everything Starts to load. During the blsckscreen/after sending the command you should also see a inconing connection on your servers console together with a player name

Confirming what @remote sparrow said, default for a dedicated unofficial server is to not wipe until told. I am curious if Nitrado forces different defaults, but I have never used them so not sure.

Alright, anybody thats into breeding, what is the max level cap when wild dinos are set to 150lvl? And how many base stat points can each stat have?( 255?)
Google does not really give a good answer and it seems to vary a bit and on official servers there is apparently a 450lvl cap so its a bit confusing what those limits are on unofficial servers.

Hello, has anybody a solution/workaround for auto-decay timers issue?

The timers getting reset if the server restarts.

Until now, okay, workaround: do Not restart thr Server (only for patches) and wipe the dinos per admin command/RCON.

But now found the next Problem: when you login Into in your favorit Server (Official/unofficial), the timers will NOT reset to your structures/dinos.

That means if a server is not restarting in 4-8 days, thatch (4days), wood (8days) and Dinos (8-10days) get destroyed, also for active tribes.

So, currently there is no chance to hold the map clean for new players.

Okay, so started a server on nitrado on PS5 and I’m trying to change the engram levels to basically subvert the engram system. I want to give enough engram points at lvl 2 to buy every single engram so you don’t have to worry about the ones you spend points on. I’ve tried using the game.ini to be able to use the OverridePlayerLevelEngramPoints code and it’s still giving the same number of engram points regardless

I’m not sure on the best settings for 2 players. We had 1x xp 5x taming 1.5x Dino food drain but I have NO idea what our breeding rates were because I obviously had to stop our gportal sub back in May. What’s the best breeding rates that isn’t too fast but isn’t too slow but still want to easily 100% imprint without waiting days for things like Rex’s to grow up (maybe an hour or two)

Go to your save files and delete the one named TheIsland_WP.ark and then check the other save files with numbers for the latest one, rename it and remove all the number so its called TheIsland_WP.ark

You cant even edit the spawn containers atm cuz they are so broken. The chances that changing the fish size is a thing that works is beyond remote. Kill the little fish till a big one spawns.

Any of you guys also run into the problem where the taming boost isn't working?
Taming settings are 5x for taming and 3x for WildDinoFoodDrainMultiplier.

With these settings and with 24 Mejoberries I should be able to tame a lvl 75 Anky that has max food 9200 in 7.13 minutes at food value of 8480 with 99.2% taming effectiveness.

This means that every mejoberry consumed he should gain about 4% taming. This also means that I should lose 0.1% taming effectiveness every 3 mejoberries consumed.
However, when trying this, I need way more berries than dododex calculated, the food meter fills up way before the dinosaur is tamed (I'm talking there's a difference of more than 3 times the amount dododex tells you to starve the anky)
And the effectiveness drops to far below 90. Sometimes even 40.

Most of those new settings dont seem to work. Tho unless you whitelist your admins or they are on pc, makes it pretty difficult to enter the admin password with no window. Last I knew, whitelists werent working either.

I dont think that mod is designed to do that. Its mainly used to spread out the dino levels evenly, instead of the islands usual "slant" to 150 and less level dinos. Setting to "Ragnarok" settings gives more dinos that are 150-300, but it doesnt rule out a certain number that are under 150.

power curves are different and, in most circumstances, players get a lot more powerful from higher dino levels than the environment does. Going from 150 to 300, wild dinos gain 150 levels -- max wild tames go from 224 to 449 or so, which is an extra ~75ish levels compared to the environment

Ok brains trust! Got a few questions.. mostly related to official levels etc. So we have a private server, most settings are official excet for a few are slightly boosted. Max dino level is set to 150. I think we have over ride difficulty.. have single player settings off. Anyway.. we noticed quite a few of our dinos have stopped leveling up. We know you can get up to 88 levels on official but we seem to be quite short of that. What is the BEST way to get our dinos to level up 88 times? We tried something we found online but it did nothing. Im not the server owner so I can't like the .ini files. Maybe he even edited the wrong one.. who knows.. any help would be amazing.. Hello fellow Survivors, i have an issue regarding dedicated servers. I bought the game some weeks ago and played it with a friend who was visiting with their laptop. Everything worked fine, i set up my dedicated server and we played (online, but we were connected with the same router). Then they went home and we tried to play again but no luck. They found the server, tried to join and entered the password, but after some time of nothing happening got the error message "Joining Failed - Connection Timeout". We then asked another friend who playes the game to try to join, same error. Afterwards one of them hosted a dedicated server and i tried to join, same issue. We all can join official servers no problem and also non-dedicated games from each other. We tried all the common issues, verified the files, reinstalled, allowed both the game and the server exe through our firewalls... Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it? I have that happen on my server as well and I submitted a ticket. Nitrado had to roll it back. I suggest restarting the last save, it's probably a corrupt save. That's what it turned out to be with mine.

But I have a question as well. I have PS5 players who are unable to locate my nitrado server. When they try to search for it they get an error telling them no sessions found. Has anybody else heard of this? I play on Xbox so I'm not familiar with the PS5 interface

Sadly No. Because you have - as long this bug existing - to restart your Server. Otherewhise the base and dinos from active tribes will also get destroyed. Because the next Problem: if a player Login into the Server, it doesnt reset the Timer too. So two bugs

Hadn't had a server crash the while time it was up. I think a mid playthrough mod addition may have done it in. Many players were requesting cryopods so I added em in. 30 mins in after reset server crashed and would not relaunch.

Yes, use a tool of choice to do it. I'm using duplicati so the backup size doesn't grow too quickly and let it run every 15 minutes

Also check tribe & player files. Sometimes they get corrupted as well. You notice a corrupt one most of the times by being much larger than the other ones. But sometimes you just have to test them one by one

I found out what it was.

Someone has built a floating foundation, stair, walls, fence foundation, turret on top box structure.

2 flyers was around it from different tribes. So it basically killed people off tames and somehow traps people on login.

Double check your code is saved - that your map was fully stopped when the change was saved, etc. then redo your dino wipe. Either your dino wipe did not work or your save didn’t apply.

ASA? "custom dino levels" mod lets you change the distribution. There's no good way to change distribution via .ini or anything other than a mod AFAIK. In terms of max level, that's just controlled via difficulty (like overrideofficialdifficulty=5.0) and the highest normal level will be 30 times the end multiplier

if you have OverrideOfficialDifficulty=6.0 in the settings and don't have the "force max" thing on, it should make all the new dino spawns show up in multiples of 6 instead of multiples of 5 -- that'll let you know it's working even if you don't immediately see a 180
