No, it does not affect your own structures. They made some patches to accessing structure inventory yesterday, perhaps a new bug has surfaced 🤷

Was it actually changed? They won't show majority of the time if you don't edit it.

The only event we weren't able to turn on is Pax, because it was likely removed as useable. The other events work fine. We just went from Easter to Summer, so try using one of those again? Do you have any other coloring or dino mods? Some may offset the color spawns from events.

So we gave up on changing screen orientation on PS4 ark but now our question is how do we save the world because we assumed it autosaved every 15 minutes but it appears to not ..so we played for two hours and lost that world I guess . How are we meant to save to keep a game going without continuous play.

Hi there, I'm hosting a cluster but somehow been running into this error today. All servers in the cluster fail to boot with the following error message:

src/tier0/threadtools.cpp (4122) : Probably deadlock or failure waiting for thread to initialize

I've been unable to figure out what this even means and how to fix it. Google hasn't been helpful at all. I was hoping someone here might have had some experience with this 😅

Sign in as admin and execute the command in game

Check my bio, there are videos on my channel that show how to change these settings for expert mode and non-expert mode.

All these settings do is change the max level that dinos will spawn up to, doesn't guarantee they will spawn that high. Some maps, like The Island and Extinction for example, have crap levels. Center has great odds, Rag has pretty good level distribution, as well.

Hi folks, what happened to the Unofficial session list since last update? I am a Romanian Unofficial Server Owner and players from Romania report that they are not seeing my cluster in Unofficial Session list, after joining the game and looking it up, i am also unable to see it in the session list, it only show servers with 200+ ping, i can confirm this issue is happening to more players from Romania, confirmed on 30 players for now, i dont understand why i see 200+ ping servers only in my unofficial session list. Additional Notes: The server is Hosted in Romania, Romanian players have 10 ping on it, and it was shown as first servers when opening Unofficial Session list for me and the rest of Romanians

You need to have the maps for the servers you want to play already installed before attempting to join those maps. The only map Ark comes with by default is The Island (not Lost Island, that's a separate map).

You need admin privileges to run Ark if you're getting assertion failed error. Unless verify files works, which you reported did not work.

If you do not see "Run As Administrator" when you right-click on Ark's .exe, speak to the person who does.

if in single player....my guess is a wipe of the save file needs to be done. The player profile can be saved, but the dinos probably can't be wiped without wiping any buildings in the world, don't know of a way to rcon to single player

anyone having issues getting their servers to show up on the in game server list since a couple of patches ago? Nothing has changed with the setup of my servers, but I have only been able to join mine via the steam server browser since about 356.1. my client and servers have both been updated yet my client stays at 356.1 and my servers are at 356.4

Yeah those are the latest versions for client and server. Steam will only show so many servers in the list, just join through favorites and you won't have any issues.

I have the servers saved in my favorites in the steam server browser....that's how I access them. The issue is they are no longer showing up in the in game browser, despite being the lowest ping since they are in my basement

their basic mode creates the ini file for you. you might try going into their file browser and finding the file, copying all the settings it has to your own copy locally, then switching to expert mode and input the settings from the local copy

Anyone knows why Carcha isn't spawning on any of my servers? I'm using Structure Plus on my servers and using the "scanner" feature to see what dinos are in the map, Carcha won't show up in any. I'm not sure why is this happening

I've tried killing Gigas for like an hour, but they won't show up. This scanner thing shows which dinos are in the map and which are capable of spawning but haven't, and Carcha isn't on any list.

Ark server manager has been unsupported since Sept. However you can still activate a premium subscription which dosent work and can't be canceled. You have to call your bank and block the payment. All this can be verified if you join their server

If it is just your server that dosent show up that's normal. Since your on steam you can add the IP and port to your favorite list in the steam client.

The ark server list only loads so many, if it actually loaded all servers we would have like a 2-5 minute load everytime we looked at it.

To compensate for that it only loads a set amount, and there's no method to which ones it chooses though often times servers that are up longer show up over new ones

Trying to get dedicated server working, I was able to connect to it via LAN, and initially in the steam server menu, it shows both my LAN IP and Public IP as a server that's up, but once I join the game, the Public IP says not responding, and I can only connect to the game via LAN, which obviously makes it harder for my friends to join me online

OverrideOfficialDifficulty=5 in your gameusersettings.ini.

This is will allow your dinos to spawn at max level 150 however, if you are on the Island, Scorched Earth, Aberration, or Extinction, it will not make high level dinos spawn more often. You will need to change the distribution for that.
If you have access to mods, Custom Dino Levels (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2182894352)
You can increase or decrease the chances of high levels.

Ports only show as open when they're in use (the ports are open if I have qBittorrent set to 7777, 7778, or 27015), but when I have the server running it says the ports are closed

so my current plan is to boot up computer A, log into account A on the microsoft store and run that as a dedicated server
then on this current pc, PC B, boot up say the xbox app instead on account B and play the game from there

yep, should work fine. as long as ark is signing into the different accounts it shouldn't matter if you launch it from the xbox app or the microsoft store.

hi ive got a question regarding setting up optionals with ark server tools. If i wanted to add ShowFloatingDamageText=true, it says i need to do so via the --opt, on the arkmanager page. but if i try arkmanager start --opt ShowFloatingDamageText=true, it doesnt work. what am i doing wrong?

When I use bOnlyAllowSpecifiedEngrams=True in the game.ini to manage engrams, it glitches the supply drops: they close if there are 3 or less items left after you take one item. So if there are 4 or 3 or 2 items and you take one of them, it closes. Anybody seen this and know how to solve? Or is there a different method for managing the engrams that I'm just not aware of? I've tested this through ASM, through Steam's dedicated server, and the standalone server method.

This feels like a really good lead. Because I also thought not adding the engram wouldn't effect them spawning in the drops, but it does: For example I removed a certain ammo, but tried to get it to spawn in a crate and it wouldn't. I can spawn it in with commands, but the crate wouldn't pull it.

You could just make the engram cost an impossible amount. Saves you from recoding the drops somewhat

You are awesome! Configuring it with all the engrams available for the supply crates is exactly what solved that glitch. I'm going to test making all The Island's supply crates custom without any of the items I'm trying to exclude from the engrams list and theoretically that will have the same effect. I resolved my issues. There were subtle user permission issues vs root not all files were the same nor were the read write. having meeting with maintenance team tomorrow. Not happy when I pay people to maintain and I am the one who recolved it. etc. Thanks all who helped.
