Prim+ definitely was such an underrated game mode, and it stopped at stone tier. No Turrets, No Tek, No Metal Buildings. The mod enhanced the primitive side of ark with adding over 100 new custom Engrams along with new building materials and resources. Honestly, it was one of my favorite types of servers to play on. It gave me that feeling of “this is how Ark should have been - primitive”. Sadly, it became almost impossible to maintain. With each new update that came to “official” Ark (official referring to Ark with Tek and metal tier), it just broke things inside Prim+. Last time I played it was over 2 years ago, and I know they stopped updating and fixing things sometime around 2018.@devout axle

In Prim+ brighter years, it was super fun and still some of the best memories I have to date about pvping in this game. It felt real, and earned. If you are willing to work with some buggy glitches and stuff not working properly, definitely give it a shot. 🙂

Plant Species X is the “turret” option. I believe they are also a bit more booster for primplus since they are the only turret option available. Other then that, traps and hope you are online raided. 🙂 it’s honestly super fun!

you can play ark any time, just not on the servers you are banned on. A ban will only be appealed if you have evidence you were not doing the thing you got banned for.

I am so tempted to try pvp but have no idea how to even go about it.

PvP is a whole different breed in this game. Honestly, I suggest trying to find someone who's willing to mentor you. Most (official) tribes don't accept anyone with no PvP experience to be honest.

One thing I will suggest is try and go on unofficial PvP servers.

You can also try the official Classic cluster, but that will only take you so far.

There's lots of ways you can get started with PvP, to be honest.

But one thing is for sure, this game doesn't like chat. If you talk, be sure to back it up or you'll get messed up.

Seeing messages in global is a very rare occurrence, because the more you talk, the more people don't like you. The more people who don't like you, the more there is a probability of one of those people being better than you. And that's just not good.

You play on [X] map because we NEED resources in [X] map, and you farm [X] or you get kicked.

From what I've seen, megatribes are run corporate-like and smaller tribes are run less-like. First time I joined a megatribe, I got stationed on an abb server, when I specifically stated Aberration was my least-favorite map and told to farm a dedi of metal a week since I was just starting. I said, this is no fun, and quit. Other friends have told me the same.

Island ice is ez offline, online hard but not impossible. SN depends on how u have built the octagon and cage but u will easily loose 1/3th of the cave, maybe the smaller part of sn as well
