See I did some research, I used to play the game on series s, I reviewed some benchmarks and compared them across consoles and systems, I recall my series s running the game fairly smoothly even at its 30 FPS cap even in bases etc, but then I looked at benchmarks recently and apparently the series s dips really low, like 25 FPS even without buildings

The series x apparently ran like 40-50 FPS, 60 FPS with non detailed mode

I got a steady 60fps on 1440p with ps5 game looked amazing and ran amazing this was before Asa dropped aswell

Was trying to build up on smalls solo (no friends play ark), got a decent run going and made it to level 105 on Astraeos surviving on an Oasisaur skybase, then logged in to see my Oasisaur was dead and all structures I had around the server blown up by 1 guy I kinda suspect to be cheating.
So my question: Is it actually worth playing smalltribes solo? I love the idea of building up and trying to do a bossfight but it seems almost impossible solo without trading for it

Hey, I kicked my tribe mate out of the tribe on official small tribes PvP. I kicked him because he was holding out on all our creatures in cryopods and put the in a tek transmitter. Which only he has the engram for. Then he proceeded to go on about how he is the only one that does stuff. I tame all the tribes creatures and found out base locations. So the kick out was mostly justified. But then my other tribemate got on and was upset I booted the guy. Then I started talking in tribe chat and he wouldn’t respond. Then he started taking down our turrets. This makes me nervous because some of our creatures that tribe has were bought by the booted member. I’m in a bit of a pickle. Any suggestions???

Genuine question for anyone on asa pvp

How in gods name can you stand the blatant pay to win introduced in the game. I LOVE all the new content. Because I play single player, or run a pve server with my friends. And WANT to pay for it, because it's cool content and its nice to contribute to the games longevity. However, it seems like I would HAVE to pay for it to get a competitive advantage in pvp, and that's not even getting into freemuim mods. All this stuff is AWESOME as pve player, but I can only imagine myself getting frustrated every time they release a new pyromane or dreadmare/ bobs tall tales/ lost colony, DLCs that the fundamentally change the scaling and difficulty of the game in a massive way

Pvp seems cool but I just can't see myself getting into it will all that in mind, and I'm also just curious to hear yalls thoughts on these updates and premium/ freemuim mods as a whole

The benefit is 30 extra levels. In evolved there was zero way to see stats before taming and you’d had to use a stat calculator to figure out if it had good hp or not.

In asa is extremely easy to make breed lines. It is worth having tek Dino lines because of the 30 extra lvls.

But with that being said, I’ve still never seen anyone using tek Dino’s.

right now it feels like it doesnt really impact established people who have resources for many cryofridges, just new players starting out and it removes rafting/quetzals as long term base options since you cant even place cryofridges on them. maybe if you could place cryo fridges on quetzals/rafts but not deploy it would be better.
