What will happen to Ark Evolved when the full version of Ark 2 is released? Who has any assumptions? Personally, I think that mostly newcomers will go to Ark 2 who did not yet know what Ark Evolved is, and the Ark evolved audience at least I think more than half of the online will remain.

I'm more than sure that Ark 2 will not be very good, all the more so until it goes to the test at the end of 2023, then to the alpha test, then to the beta test, then it will take 2-3 years to release, and so that Ark 2 has the same number maps, dinosaurs and content, you need to spend more than 3 years, and make everything well developed and improved, and it takes a lot of time, in this case it is better to supplement ARK 1, from this we can conclude that very few people will switch to Ark 2, and the entire online Ark 2 will consist of people who have not even played Ark 1 but have been waiting for Ark 2 to try fresh

Ark 1 already has all the dino uses covered, they're gonna have to reskin or reuse all the dinos they've already made which isn't a problem by itself at all but they're going to lock away most of them behind future dlc's which makes sense from a company's financial perspective but as a player I'd rather play a game with most the content that is broken and buggy than a slightly less buggy game with a fraction of the content ark1 has. Plus if they're changing the combat system it could be negatively recepted and more people would come back

Ive noticed with these past few maps the've made WC pushes quantity over quality. They don't test things before release leading to things like gen2 having a new godmode every week. They dont go back to older maps and fix them basically bringing in new things to destroy the game and abandoning the map never to work on it again. Battle eye is the easiest anticheat to bypass and wildcard has failed to switch when the cheating is more prevalent than most online game with the stakes higher than any other games leading to month/year long bases gone in under an hour due to exploits which they won't respond to in a timely matter and will most likely return unwanted results. Every aspect from development to communication and enforcement all need to improve dramatically for ark 2 to be a success and from what I've seen personally I can say it's not gonna be worth the purchase or time invested

Very true, apparently (from what I catch in other discords and from what some of the bigger streamers claim, hard to verify it) enforcement is lacking more and more.
Not sure this is the way to motivate old customers to buy your new stuff.
Especially after the whole Atlas drama, as far as I’m concerned they wasted their shot at making a great game when they failed at themself again, not because of bad ideas or lack in creativity but uttermost broken/faulty code and then they were SO quick to abandon the game.

Just trust me as someone who's been very deep in the trenches of the ark community, they have to step it up and show that they're willing to help the players combat cheating or the ship will sink. These cheats are extremely advanced and counter every countermeasure Battle eye instills and the ignorance of WC in understanding and acting upon a switch go a different protection software in addition to increasing or modifying the enforcement team is will end up being the downfall of pvp without a doubt

Well for one, ark2 is built on a new engine with experienced programmers and isn’t built on a messy frame of code. As for the lack of content, that happens with every game lol. Its not like most people (admittedly some will) will play ark1 in favor of ark2 just because it has more content. As for the quality of the content, you can really only hope that they put their best effort into it instead of how they’re doing things noe

using skiff + stryder on crystal isles is often faster than gen2 (especially if rates are higher than 1x, because hexagon gather rates don't increase as quickly as resource node gather rates on rates up) for gunpowder overall, not too sure if it's faster for spark in particular as well

Depends on the location of your base and what's around it. If you're near water, they could boat raft it. If all of your turrets were to players and tames, they likely soaked it with a turtle, trike, stego, etc., and then blew into it. Neutral dinos don't aggro until they take damage. Tek weapons deal damage to tek structures. Explosives also deal damage to all structures including tek. Do you have a tribe log? Tek sensors? Did you double check to make sure that your turrets (if any are still standing) still have ammo in them? Were they pin-coded so people couldn't access their inventory and remove the ammo? Lots of questions for this scenario.

I can't really comment on what approach Wildcard takes to moderating chat, but if it's anything like how they ask us to handle the Discord they have a certain level of things that are unacceptable. I've seen players in here admit they were banned and they suspected it was because of their use of racial slurs. If you do have concerns about the stuff being said, to that end, I do encourage a report if you believe it is an issue.

So we play on Cross Official. And we've got an epidemic of meshers right now. We've submitted dozens of reports with photos. And nothings been done. keep stashes hidden in the ocean, don't get any tames till you have cryopods, any of the gen maps are very good for starting since every half an hour you get like 300 hexagons for the shop which is 3/5 of the way to a cryopod I'd recommend gen2 specifically since as soon as you have 2 cryopods get a maewing and a anky get the maewing to 1k health and then only lvl weight since it's for movement and escaping danger if you follow that step you should be able to get a lvl 20 fresh caught one up to 1k weight and 1k health the anky I would also have to recommend to only lvl weight since you will be using it to gather berries and farm metal, then as soon as you get high enough lvl for turrets craft 8 and farm about 3 to 4 thousand bullets for each then set up in a rathole that you like, after that get whatever tames you want to get but make sure to also farm materials for more bullets since you are going to want a ammo box or 2 full of it to make sure you base would take over 12 to 15 hours to raid so you can get back on in time to defend since a good rathole will only be soakable with armor so it can take a while but if your rathole doesn't have a huge crouch spot then set up bear traps to stop rocket runners since that could destroy your turrets and the only other advice I could give is get some velonosaurs since they act as natural turrets and after farming start to get a kangaroo and farm up like 1k shotgun shell as well 4 shotguns since with the kangaroo and shotgun you can cheese the beta broodmother for easy and potentially early tekgrams without having to breed good boss lines.

a recent video released 6hrs ago from R0taderp explains the new exploit on how people are stealing accounts i highly recommend watching it, everyone in the pvp community should be giving ark a negative review because of the devs blatant incompetence/ and lack of care for the pvp community.
