Reapers don't need breeding or mutations. Obviously compared to capped mutation dinos anything looks weak. But reapers are actually very strong and we've used them for bosses in the past.

Hay. I need help with this big question for those who’ve played and beat solo bosses.

So I’m trying to beat alpha bosses on a server I bought on (unofficial) for me and my friend

My average stats for my rexes are around 20k and attack 380% for a level 250+. With almost all of my points put into health

When I watch YouTube videos of people soloing the alpha bosses there rexes have 26k health and over 800% in attack with the raxes level being 236

So my question is, is there like a setting that I need to change to be able to get to those types of numbers ?

I know what mutations do but I’m not sure if that’s all from mutations or not, they don’t even mention mutations in these videos that I’m watching.

It's heavily dependent on the stats you have on the breeders. Assuming you have 150 max for wilds you want to aim to get breeders that tame out with 40+ in health/melee, ideally 50+ but that's hard to get so you can consider that a god roll. Bosses hit extremely hard so you want to kill them ASAP so it's better to put majority of points in melee. I usually aim to get minimum 600% melee on my alpha boss runners. For carnivores I aim for 30-40k HP and herbivores I aim for 20-25k HP. I'll go for 30-40k on Deinotheriums though since they have really good health gains and a giant hit box.

That melee seems low, you may have lower than official stat scaling

Can get that on a level 1 in single player if you use cheats to give above 100% imprint. It's reason you can't trust the gear and tames you tubers use in boss guides. It's regular they run the boss fight in GCM mode and you don't know what other cheats or session settings they are using.

Vast majority do simply because doing a boss run legit takes to long. Youtubers make money from videos and they get more views from being one of the first ones out. No way majority are going to spend official times setting one up.

20-25k HP and 600% melee is enough for any alpha boss with theris. It depends on your saddles, if using cakes and with dragon how well you manage the fire damage though.

I always go pure melee after getting 25k HP on my tickle chickens.

I actually like Deinosuchus for the Underwater caves now... it has much better turning and the stuns arent nearly as bad in ASA.

And you can run into swarms of Xipha fishes that do a lotta bleed that can mess up high hp Basilos.

But it still should work if you careful

I'd recommend breeding 1 mutation type per group of breeders. Reason is you will need the baby to inherit the old mutations + get a new mutation as well.

Mutations always give random colour + 2 levels in the mutated stat. It's reason tames with tons of mutations always look like they have lost a fight with a paint shop.

Better Breeding makes it much more consistent if you want to use mods. It makes it a lot better thab vanilla as mutations are always passed and highest stat always passed

I'm thinking about starting on Island, Center or Valguero. Looking for a newer one with hopes of claiming a decent base spot to build and stay for a good long while. So I'm looking for a newer server or one with a good community and some good base spots still available. Any tips are appreciated, thanks!

most dinos take time to spawn/respawn, If it's a brand new map, or after wiping wild dinos it's common to struggle to find a species.. You need to wander around the map and eventually spawns will start to pop. I think rendering the area have some role in it aswell, so just wander around while tracking

If you use the B+ Spawn Editor mod you can alter the spawns and spawn rates to make them more common.

I used Better Outposts mod to make it so they can spawn in defence missions and give tributes when they do. I just used the mods other feature to nerf the Revanant Brontos damage in to the ground to compensate. It can be a little rough when they show but the plus side is your pretty much guaranteed to get the tributes by the time you have enough sigils for the boss run.

Saying that only things I've gutted difficulty wise is the Revanant Bronto boss and the Neophytes. Our caves with overleveled critters are actually tougher than officials thanks to the equal level distribution mod that affects wilds.

The mek is really the only thing that matters. Carchars will get smashed either way. Dreadnaughts are the way if you actually want them to not die it seems

How hard is it to tame dreadnoughts?

Its not super hard but can be annoying to get a perfect 150 done

It's not terrible. If you want to make sure you do it correctly, I recommend watching nooblets vid on it. I would take four behemoth gates metal and place it around the element vein once you find it and leave the dreadnought to it. You'll need element in your last slot of your hot bar to entice it to come over to the vein. You'll get a higher taming percentage the harder the ele vein is too keep in mind.

Each map i play on has its own character, sometimes i keep them in upload, I took a break from the game thankfully left my characters in upload I learnt Ark closed down some servers and people lost their characters, Back playing a few weeks now made insane progress now all my characters for my other maps are gone, my transmitter inventory gone, my cosmetics that I unlocked for all my events anniversary, Halloween, Easter gone..I just have my island character and my Valguero character, this is So depressing since I had uploaded dinos to play on extinction after work only to come home and lose everything and the form only addresses one character request, All the hours to unlock my cosmetics just like that gone?

However if are transferring important stuff like as if you are moving base, I recommend doing it a bit by bit so if do lose, you don't lose all.

Besides from that don't trust ark data with all your important things. The cloud is cool to temporarily keep your stuffs like 2-4 hours but not for keeping your life savings.

i put them there before i transferred to my home server I took one out because i flew to base location when i checked trans everything was gone. I tried to upload hide to check if it would do something but i got this "ARK Data Refreshing Inventory" and would refuse to upload anything (havent tested that today) they werent about to decay i just put them there before transferring

Breed high HP Ovis, leave in cryo for a few days, level up pure health, kill and harvest with a chainsaw. You'll have more hide than you can possibly use in no time.

Depends on rates, your melee, the quality of the chainsaw. But on 2x with a high level (the ones I use aren't mutated, just bred from good wilds) and the midas touch perk, you can get upwards of 10k hide per sheep easily. Often more.

I only play on official for reference.

OK I'm on a server with 6x harvesting, Ovis are imprinted and born with 54 HP and I'm putting a extra 50 levels in which gives them 5239.5 health I'm using a 143.1% chainsaw and have no points in melee.

Unbuffed I got: 28590 Pelt, 28507 Hide and 14318 Mutton.

With Midas Touch skill and Autumn Drakeling I got: 81492 Pelt, 81574 Hide and 40717 Mutton.

I can promise the numbers are accurate since I have increased stack sizes so I didn't get slot capped.

It fires 10 at once on spread mode but iirc it doesn't change the stack limit on the torpor over time. So you'll only really see increases to the damage inflicted and instant torpor. I haven't really tested it with tranq arrows though so I'm not 100% on this info.

EU LC 6326 no character in the data
EU CT 5598 no character in the data
EU VA 6233 always has a character in the data

Just try another servers to download and it should work 100%

During last maintenance came back to all troughs emptied all my juvenile desmoduses and my juvenile reaper king dead. All other babies pretty much survived. My Tribe lost about 25 dinos all together.

I believe it's due to having the "give default survivor items" advanced setting turned off - turning it back on doesn't seem to give them back.
Having said that I'm not passionate enough to file a bug report since we have much bigger issues with lost inventory items at the moment.

Clearly you did not read my reply properly, You dont know WHEN he lost his character, and this issue was identified by them at 7pm friday, only after people had already lost their stuff, Pay attention before charging in as their number one unpaid cheerleader, "If you don't care to read the announcements that's your problem too." There was no announcements for the folks who already lost their stuff, You seem help bent on brown nosing so I wont have anything further to contribute, here's hoping they put you on payroll or at least give you a t-shirt

This game is not a MMO having multiple characters on one account is a bad idea stop leaving characters for download and items in the data.

transferring has always been glitchy from the start way before ascended you're not meant to keep your characters and items in the data for long periods of time it's not a storage container.

I just uploaded an Oasisaurus to the cloud, and now everything I had in the cloud has been deleted. The same thing happened to me before the patch—I was taming Oasisauruses, and everything got deleted. On top of that, it won't let me log into the server anymore. When I log out, it just prompts me to create an account. Please help, admins!

Not true they increased the decay time in upload timer, if they wanted us to not use it they would have set it back to the usual 24hrs, and there are so many maps in this game and you are often encouraged to create a new character per map, lastly this is a MMO, lol

I am not sure what their situation is with their publisher pulling strings etc but sheesh I rather have nothing new for a year if things just worked well

I haven't had any problems since I first started playing ascended if there's a problem going on I go on my alt account not my main character of My Tribe when it comes to Ark I don't take any chances if I see people losing their stuff in the data and characters from transferring I'm not going to do it myself and then end up losing it and then complain to the admins this is the reason why admins don't do many tickets.
