Does anyone know the reason why I'm sometimes not in the boss fight on LC? My cutscenes all get skipped automatically, and I don't get the Tek Spear from the queen.

i don’t know much about the fight but i do know there are a ton of bugs surrounding it. supposedly a lot have been fixed but people continue to report issues. my best advice is to restart the game before you plan on doing it and keeping your inventory clean of anything that you won’t use for the boss

also breed backups of all your boss dinos if you can

That is usually when you've controlled a thrall for the mini bosses earlier. It happens a lot.

Almost zero things have been fixed. A lot of things have been NERFED, but the only real thing that got FIXED was outposts not spawning. Inventory bugs still happen from doing defense missions, which means you could lose entire vaults of things by accident. Using a thrall during the boss missions will usually brick you from being able to pick up the spear. A lot of the time ascension won't work. If you put items on the thralls hotbar and it is cryoed or dies you lose them forever. If you attack a gargoyle during the boss missions before it fully awakens it will usually become unkillable. Malwyn will sometimes just become unkillable at zero hp preventing mission completion. Enemies during missions will sometimes spawn in the mesh, making a railgun the only way to continue.

Of all the bugs, the inventory one is the scariest. All the items in your inventory and on your hotbar become bugged, and if you transfer them to another container, that container now is bugged as well. Moving the items around can cause them to just disappear. I've lost ~10 tames to thinking I fixed the inventory glitch by dropping everything, but still having 1 item I missed on my hotbar

Also there are sections of the boss missions where you can accidentally push the spawns off the edge, and if you do the mission is stuck as well

True, but when LC is completely broken due to bugs, what is the odds that any of the future content isn't going to be equally unplayable? Ragnarok and Val were fine, but they didn't really have anything complicated to mess up. Most of the upcoming arks have extra systems, and if it's taking 2 months to address progression blocking bugs, the game is done.

i hope you’re wrong just because i love this game, but i totally understand the sentiment there. people are excited to play new titles on release, and get back in the game when the community is active. but with Ark’s track record, people probably should have expected things to be like this. not excusing anything at all, just being honest

Having experienced a lot of the bugs in the past, including during ASE, this is WAY worse than usual stuff. Maybe 1 in 3 defense missions will bug your inventory. If you put one of the, now bugged, cryopods in a cryofridge you can end up continuing to lose cryos until you fix it. If you transfer all to an already bugged inventory, you can lose a ton of items/tames. This has existed since LC release.

Selling the next DLC got a lot harder to anyone who has been playing LC. 2 months of a broken boss and constant risk of massive item loss for no reason.

Yep and the best thing they could've done was at least made to tributes needed for alpha allot less or made the outposts give more sigils so that way if you get screwed in the boss fight to some bug it wouldn't take too much to farm it again but after failing it with my 6 man tribe I will not be farming it again after making it to the Lost Queen getting her to 5% hp and ran out of time and we almost didn't even make it to the Lost king cause it gives you 10 minutes lmao to regroup in the giga desmodus arena and we had to run all the way back to grab one theri that got stuck on a wall we had 1:30 running back with it to the platform

Since its not singleplayer and is a constantly running server. Then yes everything still runs and will function without you being active. Though most things will be in something called "Stasis" which effectively slows down their processes.

Tamed creatures usually have a lot of food to go through, so it'll be fine. I've been gone for awhile sometimes and come back to food barely drained like 2k sometimes on 20k creatures.

I don't recommend doing the alpha rune, wait for a patch notes. I did it yesterday and the queen has infinite life when she's close to dying, her life doesn't decrease anymore, time runs out and you can't defeat her. I lost my 5 heads on the Ossidon alpha rune!!!

I am playing ark survival evolved, I just got myself a bee hive (private server) someone told me that if I put the hive out and try to take the honey the bees will attack me, also that the honey does not have a very long timer on it. Will they attack me, is there a timer on the honey inside the hive or just outside the hive? any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

It's not exactly bees attacking you but you will take damage upon trying to harvest it from the hive, use bug repellent when you go to get the honey and you will take no damage, the honey in the hive does have a timer on it

Where exactly are you trying to tame it? If you are on a flat area with a lot of trees near a broken obelisk that's the forest titan arena and they are untameable there. Stone works fine but structures are best. Stone pillars are fairly cheap, also I wouldn't bother with high levels. They take an awful lot of effort to tame but there is no real benefit to taming them.

Nr1, we are trying to get all artifacts but its never where its supuse to be. Should I afk near it? How long is the spawn timer? I have gone down so many caves over and over and never geting all artifacts

On normal settings the respawn timer is about 30 minutes, but being too close can actually stop it from spawning. AFKing right next to it usually won’t help. What works better:

Grab the artifact

Leave the cave completely

Go far enough away so the cave unloads

Wait about 30–40 minutes

Come back and check again

The island map 5159 is awful. Anyone know the tribe Recreational Hazard? They have so many gates covering every beach and river that the map itself is crashing any time we sign in. Our tribe has reported it several times but nothing has been done. No other map freezes or boots us off so much or so fast. He’s lying. The beach is the last location you’d want to be in (if it’s PVP like you stated), but if it is PVE it’s entirely up to you. However, if you truly are referring to PVP, try to stay inland and hide in huge foliage, along with having a small base inside/ on the side of a huge rock

So a giga and rexs aren't really comparable. The base damage on a giga is 500 iirc and a rex is 62. So a rex has to have roughly 800% damage to be close to a 100% damage giga. Plus gigas have huge aoe on the bite, harvest more meat and walk faster than a rex runs. Even that level 80 will probably be a significant power spike if you don't have anything stronger. The best thing to do with them is breed and imprint one, they get a big boost from it . On the hand I wouldn't bother taming a low level carcha, they are weaker than gigas without stacks built up and a low melee one will struggle to build those stacks up.

Depends what you want it for, autumn gives you a harvesting boost, winter a small DR boost and also extends the shelf life of consumables in its inventory. Summer gives you slightly better chest loot and small damage boost if I remember correctly whilst spring is the constant heal. But for just running chest keys there isn't any real difference.

And a female who's DMG I got to 800

When they breed all the babies come out 204, 8k HP and 400 DMG

you can only breed for what stats you get after taming, those stats are randomized so you can get different values. what you level by hand cant be inherited by a baby

Do I need to keep breeding rexs to just have an army or do I clone the rex. Can I level them up afterwards or shouldn't

@cunning bronze Hard to say i admit because people will always try to counter the mechanic with the way it works for now. Maybe trying to let's say create some "core" in every tribes that you could increase the range where you could build structures and prevent other tribes to build inside. You could increase that range somehow by upgrading a recipe (start small at begining and the more you upgrade the more you get a wide range). If you don't build that core, that means other players will also be able to build around. If there are already pillars in a location and someone would set up his core, he will be the only one to be able to build around after and the previous pillars from other tribes would decay with time. Maybe those cores should be limited too to avoid flooding the map.
