I have over 4K hours and can walk away. I play it modded though, and hopefully the server cluster I'm with will keep original Ark and it's mods going. If I were in a position where no one had original Ark servers though, I'd either play it single player or quit. The way I see it. They just about remade the whole game on a new engine, probably transfered some assets that they could and remade what they couldn't. Plus they're adding a bunch of stuff. So it's like a new game but not really. If it's as good as they claim then I'm good with it.

I’m curious to get a straight answer from the devs if we can transfer in an unofficial cluster from Ark to Ark Ascend. I have been playing ark for 6 years as a lot of the community here and put so much time into the game with Breeding and don’t want to loose all the work and time I have devoted to ark. The unreal engine 5 looks amazing but I hope Wild Card isn’t asking the community to throw away the progress and support of the game

That's pc mods. They won't work on xbox any time soon. I'm not worried. But when they do, you can do whatever mods you want because they're adding that to consoles as well. Same as pc. Mod support.

The way I see it. They are not only making ark prettier, but they're adding a bunch of stuff to it.

Check the last 2 cc's to find out how much stuff they're adding.

If you don't want either and you don't want new stuff then ok. But I don't believe they made it worse. How do you see that they made it worse?

As long as they leave Ark 1 alone and players can still use it single player and on private servers I'm fine.
But for people who play on official and will lose those servers in August and who have been looking forward to ARK 2, they'll have to pay for Ark Ascended and Ark 2 both.
