So, not sure if I missed anything else. But so far, two things have been confirmed in the stream.
1: ARK-2 is going to be as, or even less survival like with stats. And more focus on the combat aspects.
2: There's something called "The-Den" where you can go in and 1v1 players from what it sounded like.
Akin to a Gladiator arena.

I think it’s about time someone does something different. For the past 10-15 years every game released has just been hard stuck in current genres. All we’ve been getting are just reskinned sequels of every single game whether it’s a FPS, battle royale, whatever a MOBA is, I mean shit how many times have we bought Skyrim? The entertainment industry has been incredibly stagnant, almost to the point that it’s depressing. Just a bunch of remastered, remodeled, revamped classics. Very little of anything new.

Managed to tame a Dodo couple, Phiomia and a Carbonemys only for them to all be killed by a rouge alpha raptor. RIP them . I did eventually avenge them by killing the alpha. Only one tame at a time, tame has to survive, and the more achieved the more it learns. Perhaps gaining skills or stats relevant to the achievements that could be tied to scenarios that you just can’t replicate and farm as a player.

In my opinion their smaller numbers are what’s handicapping them. That’s just the way it is. Everything implemented will benefit larger tribes more unless the devs figure out something. I’m not suggesting a limit to tames just a method of making them mean more to an individual besides “I clicked E on it now it does 30% more damage when I’m riding it”

Skill based dens are something I’m actually predicting as PvE fights against specific creatures, sort of like special monster hunter fights you challenge for unique loot rather than a gladiator arena. Either way I’m very eager to see that

id like to see Multiple experience fields relative to different fields/proffessions, bit similar to the way one levels things seperately in elderscrolls games just more broad fields. so weapon unlocks are relative to kill exp, building unlocks relative to crafting exp, saddle unlocks relative to exp gained from taming/using dinos. then have the player attribute points level seperately form all fields and make certain engram unlocks need both the field/profession exp to be at a certain level as well as have the right player attribute points. Obviously need a setting to disable some of these features for single player though if they were implemented. id also like to see a baseline currency system implemented so players can trade their skills/goods.

So if you came across a wounded animal and had to protect it, that would be the mission of the event that’s taking place. It’s up to you whether or not you participate. It’s very clear from what they said it’s not gonna be like missions from Ark 1.

I’ve had a great time with PvP on gen 2. Running into bobs that can tek punch was fun. With it being the last map I think it was a decent idea. Giving Tek to any new players that would never have a chance to acquire it. With old players the early game element is irrelevant because any pvper worth their salt is gonna rush it anyways to get into the meta as soon as possible. I feel gen 2 was a map that catered heavily to this, providing faster and easier resources just gives more time spent doing raids that we want to do as opposed to farming that 4 people in a 30 man tribe are actually willing to do.

If you want to cater pvp to new players, do away with 6 year breedlines that are physically impossible to deal with unless you have a 24/7 tribe or ALSO have those breedlines.
