Animation isn't the issue right now. To my knowledge the first season is done and the second season is almost done or done. Right now it seems like they are working to find a streaming service to launch on, which is something they would want to be involved in as it would be responsible for how many people see it as well as any revenue they get from the show. I don't work in film production and have no experience in the industry, but im sure there is a lengthy exchange involved in setting up that deal, and since the producers of the show are the same people working on ASA, they would rather focus on ASA first and return to making the deal later once ASA is past its initial launch struggles

The reason is probably "Marc didn't know/bothered writing Helena as a lesbian, cause it wasn't important to the plot at the time."
The notes are probably confined to have x-amount of words and x-amount of pages per character on each map.
So, adding a plot point of Helena having a previous lover might've not been able to fit into the notes at the time.

It’s Helena’s story on steroids and what matters are the friends she made along the way, especially Bob who probably dies in episode 1 when Nerva meshes his thatch hut (sorry for spoilers).
It’s ok though cause Rockwell used his remains to perfect the shadow steak recipe so it wasn’t a waste, because several millennia later thousands of bobs from the future (who did not have a gaming chair, which negates the need for shadow steak) could aim solely because of bob’s sacrifice.

We were supposed to get an update by now with a supposedly platform announcement.

At this point it seems more likely the show will never release. My guess is those willing to "buy" the show aren't willing to pay the price the CEO wants.

Ark 2 is the upcoming sequel to Ark Survival Evolved (current ETA is end of 2024), Ark Survival Ascended is the Unreal Engine 5 remake for Survival Evolved and the Animated series is (well duh) an animated series based of the story of Ark that isn't directly 1 to 1 with the game lore.

The notes for Nerva could be years apart, so by the time he does start to rebuild the Roman Legion on the ARK, he could have people within his clan that where born into it.

Like most platforms, shows are country-specific. Currently the ark series shows up only on the US page, however, being that nothing has been said or announced yet and this is a preliminary phase that might also change. Is it likely to change? Of that I am not so sure.

Other countries do get limited access to Paramount Plus. UK gets P+ on Sky Cinema, Apple TV and Amazon Prime, but not all titles are available. Star Trek New Worlds for example was made available in the UK on P+ but only after there was uproar of it being US only.

This is especially more evident for people who live in non-english speaking countries, I realize that it might be hard to notice between the UK and the US but…hell Netflix has different titles even between the US and Canada XD

Every country has its own content barriers. Some countries have to have secondary deals to get streaming rights through. Some companies will block shows from services if they run servers in other countries. Load of cluster fks for no reason tbh
