Some settings aren't in the file by default, and you need to add them yourself. Doesn't matter where you put it as long as there is no empty line between it, and the header it needs to be under. Needs to be directly under the correct header

Hi folks. I started playing a non-dedicated server yesterday with a friend and want to tweak some of the settings. I've changed them in the DefaultGame.ini and Game.ini e.g. TamingSpeedMultiplier=6.0, however in the admin menu in game, its still showing a different value. Is this just a visual bug? So essentially what I've done to fix the issue myself is run Ark with the second option on steam; launch the a map typically the Island for the quick load time, exit the map, exit Ark from the button on the main menu, and then click the first option to launch with BattlEye service and it gives me a propt to redownload battlEye which in turn allows my ark to run just fine. It's a glitch in your HDD that Ark is installed to as far as I've seen.

Heyo, sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this but me and my friend are trying to play together on a non-dedicated session that I'm hosting, but we're having a hard time joining through steam. Every time I invite them using the 'Invite to Lobby' button in the steam overlay, they press the button to accept but then it just leaves them at the main menu and does nothing. We've tried both using the non-battleye version, as well as joining while the game is closed. We both have the same mods installed and in the same load order, and they were even able to join my session earlier but my connection dropped and they got disconnected, and they haven't been able to join back since. ALRIGHT sorry I can actually explain what the hell i was on about now!
So, to oversimplify- Most dino spawns are dictated by the spawn entries. One of the values in that is the weight, controlling the likelyhood of that dino to spawn. The dinospawnweightmultipliers config changes that weight.
Alphas don't spawn like that. When, in this case a rex, spawns, there's a chance the game will spawn it as an alpha instead

So, fewer rexes means fewer alpha rexes, because there's less rexes to get turned into alphas. But it also means that their spawns are heavily linked

Yeah, it's unfortunate. Alpha spawns are pretty much entirely out of reach without mods, and even with mods you can't really do anything but make them more common

You could remove them entirely with npcreplacements.. but that's it

No. Mutations always offer a stat boost. You need to accurately track every base stat your breeders by either values or point distributions.

Well all the artifacts are meant to test your merit as a survivor, all of them serve the same function tho, they require you to look for them to challenge the bosses and unlock element. For the broodmother, check the wiki for all the tributes (drops) and artifacts needed for all the difficulties of bosses

Alternatively, if on PvP try mass slaughtering of giga babies, wyvern are about half as effective, spino a quarter. You could combine these methods.
