Okay, so currently my issue is that both dedicated servers are running, but when I try to browse servers via an Obelisk terminal, the second server doesn’t appear in the server list. If I modify the server’s .bat file to remove the Port and QueryPort settings, and instead define these ports in the GameUserSettings.ini, could that resolve the issue?

it cant hurt. a lot of stuff wont work right if they dont have unique ports. does the console/log show them using the ports you set in the launch script?

oh, that is a useful detail lol. may be erroneous, a lot of the ps codes are vague to the point of being useless. could also be indicating memory corruption, the system cant tell the difference at the time

it just sees garbage data, cant tell where it became garbage

if the game files are corrupted, it should instantly crash at the same place/time (during loading whatever is corrupted)

its probably because its LAN. that doesn't always work in ASE. if you're port-forwarding, using a VPN would fix it.

Depends what the stat distribution of the spino is. Good health and melee with a good saddle would go a long way, but drakes will come flying in from a pretty wide radius to fight you when you pick an egg.

Definitely worth a shot! If you don't crouch, you can stay connected to the grapple and just pull yourself up. Rock drakes are super mobile, but can't fight you if you're not near a surface they can cling to

Cactus broth may help keep the number that aggro to you down. Haven't tried it, though.

Aberrant spino? If you go down that ribcage looking thing, it'll also be your way out, unless you're familiar with the red zone and where the big ramps are between it and blue

I'd recommend going through blue zone further south toward the middle of the map. There's a drake nest down there that's much easier to get in and out of in my opinion.

Rock drakes are great for climbing out of there 😂 But you'll be in your own mission impossible movie if you go at it with climbing picks and grapples.. Guess it depends what heart rate you want during this heist.

Heck idk the coords. Basically look for the big bodies of water and follow the waterfalls down. You'll be close. Or YouTube some red gem guides and they'll show you the ones barely inside red zone (lots on that ramp I'm thinking of)

The drake nests are more of a brighter blue kind of glow compared to the rest of red zone. It'll be like a little trench with dimples along the walls, some of which will have nests

Take a light pet so you can deal with reapers while you're down there.

One of the queens is like a guarantee to spawn along the way, but reapers won't spawn in the actual rock drake areas (at least that's my understanding/experience so far)

here's one option you can try, try to find the unoffical I'm playing on, search for Cobalt. If you see the cluster, great. Owner set up for the server to automatically restart and update on their own.

Set up the new one with island (going to flip it to lost). uploaded my survivor and 4 tames (griffin, bison, pyro, drakeling). Was able to transfer myself and items without issue to the island. Best time to find them is after a patch update. There are usually 5-6 ( if no one has blocked the spawns).

Otherwise I have been told to kill everything in the spawn area including fish. I have had little luck with this but maybe it will work for you.

In my experience easiest way to get them to spawn is walk up and down the river killing all the fish with a giga/carch then leave render and come back. Usually get one or two to spawn just keep repeating the process. Helps if you have a few people doing it at the same time

Hi, I’m trying to move my ARK Survival Evolved server from Windows to Linux, but the world save won’t load. I copied the Windows .ark files and my configs over, and the server crashes with:

I’m running the latest Linux dedicated server in Docker. I think it might be the Windows save or the configs.

Does anyone know how I can migrate my server to Linux while keeping player and tribe data?

It should work has always worked for my clan but then again our server has everything right on the tree line pillared all the way down all the rivers so people can’t mess up the spawns. Check in the snow river too that is a rare spawn but they do spawn there as well

I had the same since Rag went out. Hopefully the update (5 monthes later) with the possibility to dino wipe the session from the parameter solved the issue (single Player on Ps5). I put the Dino Wipe on "On" and it worked.

I have a server running the center, on ascended. I as able to build on the glacier to the west, but when I respawned, or even now fly there my frames drop to 4(normally around 100), and I can no longer do anything. If I fly there the base at least renders. If I sapawn there, no base ever renders and I am just stuck until I kill and possibly restore to past backup.

Hello all. Last night after we completed alpha tek cave on official PvE a tribemate tried to spawn back at a bunk bed, but after selecting the bed and clicking "spawn" nothing would happen. After about a minute she exited the server and loaded back in, only to find that she was no longer able to select this character. This was her main character with thousands of hours. Is there a way to get support from Snail Games/Nitrado for recovery? The standard ticket systems seem to no longer be active.

i think i found a fix, frame generation generally just does this if you don't have G sync or any other version of VRR. This isn't asset streaming, since then i'd see it on the frametime/fps graph.

You should have imprint timers turned up as well and that is what the cravings timers fall under

If the game crashes while doing ascension mission sometimes it duplicates character and sometimes it deletes character. You should never do a boss mission wit skins on or chibby as there is a known bug with them that it can crash out trying to load the skins. You can report lost character to wild card sometimes they will help

On this installment of me having problems literally NO ONE else has/have had, when loading into the Valguero map, I enter as a version of myself a few minutes before where I LAST saved, yet the body I was in is alive and unconscious on the ground, complete with inventory

Does anyone else have a hidden grotto cave (blue zone) that's basically empty/devoid of life on an Aberration unofficial server? There's like at most 5 mobs in the entire cave at a time even on a fresh non-modded server. The other caves seem to be fine, and its also correctly populating in single player so not sure if its just an unofficail server thing or it's just broken on servers in general. Tried dinowipes, entering and exiting, waiting around, but nothing has worked.

Lets say i beat the island. what actually happens? does it automatically bring you to scorched earth and delete your stuff or? i haven’t actually ascended cause im worried about losing stuff

is there a way to transfer between maps in singleplayer without losing ownership of your tames/bases if you want to go back and forth?

server sunset date was announced months ago. skittle had already reached out to you to tell you the server is gone, if you still don’t have your character then there is nothing he can do

windows does not make it easy. you usually have to physically check the drive, and know which partitions are on which physical drive

otherwise, open "disk management" in windows, find the drive that the game's partition (ie, C:\ or D:\) is on, rightclick the "disk 0" or whatever label -> properties

HDDs are slow at loading, so load times will be much longer than SSDs. mods will make them even longer.

HDDs top out at about 250MB/s on large file reads, and 1-2MB/s on small ones. modern SSDs do 4000-8000+ on large files and 100-200 on small. literally 50-100x faster
