have been picking up beer in loot drops on SE so I decided to tame a deinotherium.. not sure what's wrong here. Left all my dinos way back. Walked over with beer in 0 slot, then inched towards him until he faced me. Only once did it do the ear thing (which it did the folded back ears like 10 times in a row) and beyond that, it refuses to do anything. It stairs at me, grunts a bit, then starts to move forward (I try to keep moving back) but it doesn't take long before it starts aggroing to attack. I shouldn't be too close as I'm moving forward very slowly until it actually reacts and turns towards me

It has several animations it does, shakes it head, flaps its ears, shakes its trunk, folds it ears, and turns it trunk to one side, that's what I'm referring to. Actually what it was referred to in a youtube video on it.

the point is, it's not doing that when I approach with the beer. It turns to face me, but then doesn't do any of those things.

There currently seems to be a problem with the mod query somewhere between WC-CF and the servers. It may be the links from the mods themselves. This probably often prevents players from accessing the unofficial servers, interrupts travel between maps, causes black screens, and random game crashes. (I have several friendly PVE clusters in DT). It doesn't seem to be caused by any specific mod. Since the errors mentioned above occur randomly, and before joining the server you are often told that current mods are incompatible or their content is shown as missing, sometimes forcing you to download or install a new mod.
Which however does not solve the problem.

Does anyone know anything specific or have a solution?

I guess this game is in its' death throws for me. Having played both ASE and ASA for thousands of hours I now am trapped on a brilliantly run modded private server cluster where the game crashes every time I try to change maps or launch club ark. All the mods are updated and if I stay on the island it works ok (loose term for slighly improved frames). My machine is low spec so I thought it was that, but all the other players on the same cluster with much higher specs are having the same problem.
Any obvious fixes (reset the INI) and lowered visual effects...
One last hope here before I go play Dune.

have a few CCs on it ... When I enter a server, the structures are “verified” one after the other and only then displayed. If I move around during this phase (1min?), ARK crashes - without an error message. It simply closes. Does anyone else have this problem? CCs are no longer loaded - they are complete. I have deleted invalid skins from the library.json and from the mod directory. There are no error messages about mods in the log. If this is done without me moving (it is also enough to open inventar or graphics menu - any activity in the client...) I have no problem with skins etc.

Try searching for it in xbox store. Once found if say get it needs downloaded. If says owned check in queue for if its installed if so try fully quitting game from xbox home menu and reload game.

Mods - best thing i did was delete all my Mods - and download again.
this seemed to fix all the issues i was having on Steam PC .

• The MOD has to be legit updated as well. [ this Method can't fix outdated mods for sure ]

in my case it said the mod was valid although it was not - for somereason, it just didnt update most of them after the updates. UE5.5

aside from transfer CRASH - which still is officially broken - everything is great! the water update with the ripples and waves is amazing ! 4070ti Super Nvidia

i can transfer - when i trasnfer to other server, CRASH - start game again and load into that server - select download character - and im in game again. sometimes it takes a few tries.

Never once crashed when transferring on officials.

Never once crashed doing anything in Ark since 5.5. Even when the game hangs forever sometimes due to the FPS bug. Yeah I do get the FPS bug.

The client always crashes when I'm traveling - ALWAYS. Before UE5.5 I had this too - but not as extreme. Now I always have to travel, crash, start, select target server, download char (by the way, items are duped afterwards! Sounds like a critical bug 😉 )

Unfortunately, nothing appears in the client logs - so I used OBS and recorded the console log and lo and behold - lots of red lines just before the crash:

I had a similar problem: Dinos from Nektatus' Mythological Creature mod were invisible, and my inventory was invisible. The cause was an UNUSED mod. I tested many mods - one of them was broken (but wasn't being used by the server!) - I deleted it, and everything was visible. Apparently, installed server-side mods are loaded even when they're not being used. I wonder if that makes sense (it consumes client memory and, as you can see, also causes problems!).

I wrote a script just in case: Github -> WulfmanGER -> ARK-Survival-Ascendend-Mod-Cleaner ... this creates a backup of the mod directory and deletes ONLY server-side mods from the mod directory. Skins remain untouched. Of course, the library file is also adjusted accordingly => so ALL mods are truly deleted. The next time I connect to the server, only the necessary mods will be loaded.

Okay, yea, I made a new save file on the island and exited after a bit, and there's no localplayer.arkprofile in the folder.

If you're on a modded server, redownload the mods and make sure you have enough space to support them.
If you're not, have someone kill you and load in. If that still doesn't work, lower your in-game settings, then reset them once it lets you back on the server.

Problem is, when I leave render and come back everything is loud again. Relogging fixes it but once I leave render again and come back it's loud again.

Since the 5.5 update, my PC has been shutting down. It can happen within 3 minutes or sometimes up to an hour. Never had an issue with Ark crashing my PC until this update. I can run other games, and do anything else on my PC without crashing.

SPECS

• AMD MERC 310 7900XTX (24GB vram) - seems to somewhat be a culprit in forms.

• Ryzen 9 7900x

• 64GB RAM

• I've run DDU to stress test, zero pc performance issues noted.

• Went into safe mode, installed older stable AMD driver version

• Verified game files

• Completely deleted and reinstalled Ark

• Reinstalled Windows

• Turned graphics to low from Epic

• When all this failed, updated AMD drivers to the latest again

PC still fully shutting down, temps all normal and then PC down, my ram lights stay on oddly enough. I have to turn off the pc from the power supply as the power button on case won't function when this happens but I can use it to reboot after flicking the power supply back on.

My guess is your PC is shutting itself down to protect your hardware from damage due to being over stressed, ive noticed since the update my fans get unusually loud in certain scenarios which didn't happen before.

you cant power off with the reset button, or holding power for 30 seconds? if so, something is really wrong with your motherboard, directly or indirectly

a GPU crash should either leave the rest of the system working, if not usable, or force a clean reboot. weird electrical issues could cause a problem like that, though. only way i could see a GPU hardlocking a whole system is if someone forgot the antisag bracket and it is shorting something

It has never been able to 'restart'. I've always had to force turn off the PC in cases where a restart is needed. I don't even have the option under Windows sleep setting to turn off fast start.

Depending on where you're playing, your character might be transfering from one machine to another and takes a couple minutes. Just log out, wait a couple mins, try again to download your character from Astra

since the engine update i had some performance issues (for the first time EVER since having ASE run on a GTX 970 back in ... 2018?!). im now running a R7 5800x + RTX 3080 for ASA.

SO, i uninstalled (SSD) and reinstalled on to a faster M2. my server (hosted elsewhere) is running abberation, it now says i dont own abberation and i should download it. but then immediately brings up a screen saying that i do infact already own it. im running on windows 11 with the game pass and have tried unchecking and checking the DLC to redownload the abberation DLC

If you're experiencing sudden and significant drops in your FPS sometimes by as much as 80-90% you can often find a temporary fix by adjusting your Window Mode setting in your video settings. Try switching it from Windowed Fullscreen to Fullscreen, or vice versa. This simple change temporarily resolves the issue.

Just double tap F11 and it should kick back up in a couple seconds. But for me if I'm in 1440p it goes to 1080p when I do this so I just play in 1080p til this gets fixed.

When you say they aren't being fed have you watched their food? They eat from the maeguana but only when their food is super low. Dunno why but I panicked about that at first and literally sat staring at my rex food level to ensure they were eating lol

Alright so weird thing, Maybe helpful as a note for the devs if they come across my message.

I am suffering Lag/stutter frames for a extended period but at a certain point something gives and the experience turns smooth... with a caveat; a ghost image remains on screen of whatever menu/view you were looking at. The ghost image persists even when tabbing out of the game but only for a little while. When returning to the game after having been tabbed out the experience remains... if I dare say it.. smooth.

I dislike the ghost image persisting even outside of the game as that indicates hardware level issues caused by the game.

Do with this what you may to improve the game.

When updates to a game are made, the mods need to also be updated, that is done by the mod creators, not all mods play nicely together. Not all systems can handle multiple mods.

If you STOP the server, reinstall the mods and then RESTART the server, none of the mod structures, items or Dino’s will be lost. Just make sure to not start the server without the mods.

I'm getting annoyed with this Club Ark failing to install issue I'm having.
I had it installed just fine last week. (I had to uninstall it when the update stalled out on me, and so I could try it again. Why it doesn't just install the latest version and makes us still update it afterwards is beyond me).
The download bar moves slowly steadily for awhile, but then the cancel button disappears, and the install button comes back. I hit install again... and the same thing, it gets halfway there, looks like it's completed, but then asks me to install it.

But on my server I have had babies die over night after I left them with feeding troughs full of cooked meat as well as baby wyverns with fully loaded milk and with my rates they should be grown before hunger runs out. After getting a decent framerate again, I’ve identified two triggers on my end:

1. changing graphics settings while in-game; changing from the main menu is fine.
2. Being in Astraeos for any amount of time. Like, the moment I load into Astraeos, my framerate starts dropping, and after a few mins it goes to below 5fps levels. EDIT: haha, just kidding, the map doesn’t matter. Just the time spent. Does happen faster with Astraeos though.

Guys help me out here,i need help with dino settings,lets say base hp of rex is 1100,if i leave wild dino hp at 1,he will have 1100 hp until he gets more points randomly put into hp,im assuming,since 1 is 100%,now my q is,tamed dino stats,if i put hp at lets say 0.5 does it calc 50% of base values or out of wild dino values,for example wild dino is on 1.5hp,and has 10 points in hp,i ll assume he gets 100hp per point for the sake of calc,he would be getting 150 per point,total +1500 on existing 1100 which is 2600hp,would tamed dino(ignoring the affinity stuff) have 0.5(50%) of 2600hp ooor,out of base value which would be 1100+(10*100) which is 2100hp.....
Btw i dunno what changes with settings higher than 1.0,does it affect base hp or hp per point or both or what,but u get my point,

cant find my doggo and i dont have any icon for buffs or debuffs

Same! I thought I bugged my game out somehow cause I uploaded a doggo when I moved maps, also you may have to companion up again, mine randomly goes off sometimes, have to track it to see where it was left

I have 2 whistles with companion mod activated, one works and the other does not

Anyone else lost all unlocked cosmetics? Fear evolved, summer bash etc. I only have the anniversary ones now. Tried on all maps, they’re gone
