Dedicated server running on my machine, seems like my dinos aren't dropping any eggs naturally. is this another setting they messed with? Hello everyone i hope you are doing well. A friend of mine is encountering a problem with his inventory that lags his whole game. When he traveled to nyrandil and he opened his inventory a black screen opens with a message saying refreshing inventory and he could do nothing no more. He figured a way to close the inventory and travel back to another map he got his transmitter and couldn’t even open it’s inventory. He tried to respawn his character with the implant button spent the whole night trying but nothing he does seem to work. He even disinstalled the game the mods everything but nothing seem to work even on solo parties the same problem occurs does anyone know what he could do please ?

Hello, I wanted to report that I have a problem, I play from Steam and in ASA when I get an existing update or sometimes they put a download that doesn't exist (weighs 300 MB or less) once it downloads what it asks for the game starts to reinstall from 0. I have been talking to Steam for months and they have not given me a solution, I have tried everything they told me and yet the problem persists, can someone help me enjoy the game? This problem happens to me at least once a week or in days and downloading 200 GB that temporarily weighs 400 GB on the disk, is a big problem...

you are misunderstanding what is happening, the game is not reinstalling.
the download is the actual patch (new/changed files)
then steam has to copy the game, and it adds the downloaded patch to the copy, then moves the copy back to the game folder

that is how it is supposed to work. which is sort of stupid, but steam and every other platform except nintendo work that way, and nintendo is worse

with how big games are getting and the focus on large compressed archives, it may be time for valve to change that 🤔 but it would make it impossible to cancel/pause updates

With wildcard changing the game so you only download the maps you want, I expect each map to be in its own archive. Should make patching demands easier as the amount of copying should reduce to the size of each map archive and not that one big archive.

If they have an update, you usually need to delete the mod then re-download to make the space available bc as far as I can tell on PS at least, the update size is the size of the mod, not the update itself so it thinks you don’t have enough room. Usually I would say if you’re having to donut every time it’s bc the server isn’t updated but if it’s an official thing then not sure on that one

does not indicate that is what caused the crash, though. if the server was lagging badly, it was probably a casualty of that

due to how unreal engine networking works, most complex menus and interactive structures or items apply a hidden buff to the player that handles communication with the server

I'm transferring stuff between servers and my ark item slots stop me from uploading stuff at 44 items saying it's full.

oh that sounds terrible. sorry, no idea then. havent spent much time in SP on ASA. sounds like its an issue with rendering order. in SP your machine does a lot more heavy lifting and it sounds like it loads in tames before it loads in other data. You are right that its something thatshould be addressed. Do you have a large base/lots of tames? Maybe log off in a small simple cabin out of render first?

My base is medium sized I guess? I've got maybe 40ish tames out.
It doesn't seem to be a problem if I log out in my base,but if I'm out adventuring or crash and don't return to base before so, I'll be rescuing half of my tames from under my base, and the other half pulling out of the foundations..

I can't figure out exactly what is as it isn't related to preventhibernation which is what I thought it was at first. It also isn't every tame that falls through

Big confusion with water tanks and intakes on ASA. make sure the structure you are putting down has a blue arrow. that means its pointing to an intake and will get water. It DOESNT need to be inside the blue bubble the intake has. Usually you can put down a water tank/reservoir pretty far from an intake and still get connected.

the blue bubble just indicates the region that crop plots and structures will get fed water from the current structure you are placing.

Any idea which server setting can cause a conflict with the mod “Astreaoes - Mythological Creatures”? As soon as the mod is installed, inventories are empty. My own is “frozen” - I see the things that were in it before the mod, but I don't get any updates.

The configs are identical for all maps. Since the mod runs with others, I assume that there is something in the config that leads to this error. But where do you start? We don't have any wild things in it ... Slightly increased values for Taming, Breeding etc.; own whitelist for CustomCosmetics, 5-6 resources with slightly increased stack sizes. Speed can be leveled for Dinos.

On my single player world i tamed 2 rexes and the high HP was 12k and the high melee is 531 percent . After imprint the stats become 15.7k health and 676 percent DMG. I had 51 levels and I leveled up one of the rexes to 42 thousand health and 2 thousand percent damage. I feel like that's kind of broken. Can someone tell me if that isn't broken or is there something in my settings that's making them too strong?

the stats pre-xp sound reasonable, but getting 2k% melee from <51 xp levels and born at 531% seems kinda high. I do know that in singleplayer there are single player settings which make your tames a lot stronger. A lot of people usually uncheck the "Use singleplayer settings" box to have more of a challenge.

I have noticed the game crashes a lot when doing osds, specifically when collecting rewards. I just noticed it is crashing when I pick up a tek replicator. The times it doesn't crash there are no replicators and the element I get disappears from my inventory. I've done 4 OSDs today and every time it's the same thing.

that is something about the spot you are logging in at. crashing on teleport usually means severe loading issues. nothing special about teleporting itself, it is just moving very quickly, to the game

Did you get an answer for this imprint question? At 50x mature speed it all depends on how quick you want to get the first imprint in, and how many imprints you want to do. For me, imprinting is a real pain, so I set my server to let me imprint 2m20s after hatch/birth, and only have to do one imprint. If that's what you want, and your mature rate is 50x then you'd need to set Imprint Period Multiplier (BabyCuddleIntervalMultiplier=) to 0.004861 and Imprint Amount Multiplier (BabyImprintAmountMultiplier=) to about 130 in the game.ini file. Not sure how this works with Xbox but I'm sure there are settings somewhere that do the same thing. This would let you imprint any base game dino on any ASA map after 2m20s and only have to imprint once to get 100% imprint. Can't be sure about any Mod dinos but most should be the same.

Mods sometimes disappear from the list of installed mods. This is true even with premium mods. I'm getting beyond frustrated with no option to locate purchased mods. There is no filter for it. They disappear from installed and you're left questioning how many of your purchased mods are dust in the wind. Why is this a thing? This is giving me hesitation to purchase mods because of lack of consumer confidence. This is on Xbox. I don't know if other platforms face this issue but it's a bad practice. The mod page is buggy enough.

I come from an IT background, and I've learned that nothing is impossible :). There are errors that make absolutely no sense (unfortunately, modders haven't noticed them yet - this isn't the first mod bug I've tried to report - it was NEVER the mod's fault - but - so far, they've all looked into it again and had an idea - recooked - mod worked = mod's fault). I think we have something like that here too - it's just a shame that the modder isn't willing to help find a solution - they know best what their mod controls in-game. Another dino mod, for example, works without problems. What did the modder do differently?

But the stacking mods surely do something other than "just" "copying" the stacking command in the config. The ini part is an official way. But I'll give it a try.

Could be related to shadow settings. From a 3D rendering background, I know that if anything is going to chew up processing power and VRAM, it's generating shadows. Try lowering the game's shadow settings?

• removed speed levels for dinosaurs
• removed stacking via INI
• disabled custom cosmetics
• there was also an attempt to activate the TEK binoculars for everyone (instead of via a mod as before) - also removed
• I've also set everything to default if it was a true/false config. What's still there are breeding times, harvesting, etc.
• BattleEye is now activated
  So there are no more "extras" in the config 😦

And now things get weird: I start with a default config - nothing changed -> same problem.... lol?

I personally like to know exactly where my cluster directory is, so I specify it with that override argument. That is technically the space your user is placed when you switch maps.. cause you leave your current server, go into the cluster directory.. then the next server can grab you from there.

which is why when the next server fails to pull you, you can always do download character on the map you left.. cause you are just hanging out in the cluster directory 🙂 think of it like arks ethereal plane of existance.

What a * mod 😦 ... GCM - and that's it - now the inventory is gone again. I also spawned some creatures from the mod - all invisible - only their feces are visible ...

The error is also stored in the savegame - great - so when I reconnect - without GCM - inventory empty (as long as the mod is on). If I download the savegame from the live server again, it works - until I activate GCM....

To clarify, I checked all crash dump files and all are BEdaisy.sys related. I had the issue 2 weeks ago and a simple uninstall and reinstall of BattleEye solved it, and it will now if I do it once a day (upon turning computer on) or however often I am starting up my computer on said day.
Looking for a permanent solution however. I have checked online and believe I have hit the end of the road for troubleshooting that I can find. Any advice is welcome :)!

if you can break the loop, you can fix your crash/corrupted auto save that looping

Btw, your corrupted save is not their fault, either graphics hang or graphics flutter causes it and the save is corrupted and the game hits that corrupted file and is trying to fix itself by looping.

i discovered that when i was in a constant crash loop on ASE when i flew over a huge base and the graphics took a huge his and i crashed in the base…. Multiple attempts and i figured out how to get out of the loop, fast visual zoom to the ground stopped the graphics bomb, i had to face the dirt and crawl out on my hands and knees…

you can change something to fix that yourself, think outside the box

a crash loop upon logging into bases or using teleporters to different locations is the error.

I tested whether it was the amount of structures causing this, this was not the case as I goes into a crash loop in a small base regardless.

I also tested whether it was on the server or not, this was not the case either, I still went into a crash loop on different clusters, I also know offical players that has the same issue.

there is no crash message lol, its in game, not the actual game.

you log into map, you cant interact with your inventory, you cant interact with anything and the map acts like it stops then it eventually kicks you back to menu.

thats the part where you're stuck in a crash loop until you die and respawn

It took me forever to find your original post, after reading a bit of your comments, I wanted to make sure to get the details before I replied, and this also why I came here, I too am experiencing these crash loops my internet is over 1000mgps, and I am on console, when I got I first looked to see if anyone on Microsoft was complaining of this issue that’s when I got bits and pieces of your comments. It is only while: traveling from one tp to another, traveling from one map to another, and last night it was so bad trying to go to Extinction after 10 minutes of constant dcing ( sometimes as soon as I choose map, sometimes when choosing bed, anything in extinction is absolutely broken I’ve been trying to move to Astraeos but most of our main dinos and gear, etc are on extinction, it was bad before last update, got better after a while, but after this last update it’s unplayable if I need to go to extinction

Also anyone who Replied to coffee, do not reply to me with same ignorant fixes

You can on a hosted server. I am not sure if you can change that setting on non-dedicated Xbox server (local) or in single player. I haven’t tried to setup a non- dedicated server in ASA.

As an aside try the console command refillstats as this might reset mating interval as well

You could also change the speed at which time passes on the ark.
