I'm so done with this game. I spend all day building a base just for the game to crash and I lose hours of progress. So I decide to leave to save the game each time I achieve a segment of the base. Just for me to reload and half of it is just gone. I don't get resources back or anything. So I'm stuck with the decision do I leave and risk losing hours of work each time or do I play until it inevitably crashes. The game has been out for almost a year now and it's still a load of rubbish. This is happening on a single player save with next to no mods installed. Tell me I'm not the only one suffering from this.

just as a basic rule tames are KEY to this game so get as many as u can, flyers and resource harvesters at first and then fighting dinos, build a base and have a main location where you do all of your crafting and what not.

Baby maturation speed and Baby care interval are related. If you change one, you need to update the other.

You can increase maturation speed to the point that on default (Cuddle Interval) settings a Giga takes 1 cuddle and you cannot cuddle anything else in the game.

if you are on PC or a server you can use BabyImprintAmountMultiplier so everything can imprint in 1 cuddle DesmoSip you still need to worry about it being fast enough for that one tho.

Depending on how large a class of creature I want to raise, I usually shoot for 3-5 cuddles. Enough of a challenge that it feels valuable but not so many that getting just one "want to go for a walk' guarantees failure to hit 100%. So be aware that smaller creatures generally raise much faster than larger dinos.

This is why you need to backup the whole Saved directory and not just the files in one of the folders for a map.

For ASA specifically. I have an A770 that will run with most settings at epic/high with FSR3 1440p downsampled to 1080P at around 35-55 fps, which is somewhat playable (it feels smoother than it really is…fps all over the place). But it doesn’t render some stuff like water and foliage quite right.

Those might be an internal ark setting. I'm not sure about ASA foliage settings, but there should be a slider or two in generic settings to reduce or increase foliage

I’ve tried everything I can think of in console commands. Single layer water settings etc. i have a 4070 laptop which runs the game fairly decent, and the water looks smooth and translucent. On A770 the water looks grainy and the sea foam/surf is pixelated. The clouds do this too.

Element can not be traded cross servers. Only if they are on your server. Ask in the server you are on if anyone will trade (non rnt) To transfer element has to be exchanged to dust and ratio is bad. No, we haven't been able to replicate it with just 1 action. It happens when teleporting and when accessing dino inventories. We are on official and only have the officially approved character skin mods.

you're probably on a whistle group and you dont know it, if you press h for extended hud info and look at the top of your screen it will say "tame ordering group[n]" anything but [none] and you're on a group, use numpad keys to change, press the number you're already on to clear ordering group

it sounds like you arent mutating, in which case, you stand to gain nothing from zeroing out oxy hunger and weight, as you're not going to get near the level cap without mutations

on ase i mutation stacked doeds for a while, my general method was to put 300 lvl 1 clean female doeds in a big box, and walk my mutated male down the rows, breeding them all at once

this way each generation would be a new mutation and once the male was 20/20 mutations, while chance of mutation was cut in half, i could still mutate on top of it, thats how you get the mutation count above 20

I’ve been having this problem for months now, I’ll explain in detail my issue because this is getting extremely frustrating. When playing on a non dedicated session, the names of creatures that I named go to the default (for example a raptor I named terminator is now just saying “raptor), with this also comes a problem with signs, I write “hello” on a sign, and it shows “…” this problem is odd because when I load into the same saves on single player, all the names pop up and signs have there text. This is very frustrating as its difficult to keep track of my breeding dinos, nobody has knew what was going on so if anyone could help I would appreciate, thanks

Anyone know anything about transferring items from Club Ark to an unofficial server? It worked when it first came out but now it doesnt.

I'm trying to remove some mods from my ARK survival evolved server as I believe a couple of them are causing issues.
However, I've turned off the server, deleted all traces of the mod from the files (the mod id folder plus the .mod file) and removed the mod ID from the mod list, yet upon launching the server, it just redownloads the file. What am I doing wrong that the server won't stop loading the mod?

On ase, (should be same for asa), for singleplayer settings being ON, I use:
Mating interval: 0.07 (about 30 minutes for most creatures)
Egg hatch: 10 (5-30 minutes depending on the egg)
Mature speed: 10 (25-30 or so minutes but should get all cuddles in time)
Cuddle interval: 0.07 (50% cuddles for most creatures)

The only issue with fast mature speeds, is you get into the issue of the imprints being either too long for the timer by a few minutes, or you have to imprint every second and it gives like 1-2%

Gigantoraptor baby is not initiating mini game. Mom is free, not blocked or trapped. Just using fertilized eggs to draw her away and wearing ghillie. Baby walks up to me inside the nest, but just kinda stares at me then walks away. Not sure if this was an on going issue or what
