Is anyone else having an issue with a “refreshing ark inventory” pop up? It’s happening any time I access my own inventory/chests/ob or transmitter. It started after I ascended when I went to access my Rex’s inventory. Hypothetically let's say you are in an alliance and build bases super close together because being in an alliance allows it, what happens to the structures if you leave said alliance? does someones disappear? Can they just not be expanded upon? Does it affect bed spawning?

I got a lot of these kinds of errors recently while testing unstable overclock. So just something to be aware of, it can be hardware related. Otherwise a lot of little things can be fixed just using verify game files from steam.

Intel 13 and 14 series CPUs have been problematic because the motherboard manufacturers were not limiting the power draw and it was causing instability. There should be BIOS updates to fix this, it was certainly causing crashes in Unreal 5 games

are you referring to ASE or ASA, and are you aware of the serious corruption and failure issues with 13th and 14th gen intel processors? if not, you should look into that immediately and take steps to ensure the firmware is updated and set to safe limits. affected processors will otherwise eventually fail or be permanently damaged. if it is a new upgrade and you are mostly playing cpu-bound games, as you mentioned, i recommend returning it if possible, get a 7800X3D, overall faster for gaming and less problematic

It said I was out of gas and I had 110 dead cryopods that had all my water tames in them

Might be energy options, you can set your pc to to something like “energy saving” or “highest performance” and iirc different options can be chosen for plugged in vs unplugged.
You’ll probably have to enable “highest performance” once you plug it in, you can check and alter settings by clicking on the battery/charging symbol in your bar.

After toggling HUD off then back on, UI parts like floating damage numbers just no longer show. Prompts to mount dinos, open loot drops, open doors, etc. no longer show as well. this was caused by undefined behavior (no surprise with this jalopy of a game) when whistles are unbound.

running dedi installed through steam on linux hoses my ARK install (deletes it) every time server is started. that's fun. Even on a different drive!

My guess would be that if it happens, it'll be when Extinction is released. They gave us these ganked ones because those of us with experience in the game were very disappointed with the reduced tame limit and no way to store them and the again-required 24/7 babysitting to raise one with full imprint.

Raw mutton doesn't stack, and decays too quickly to be efficient. You'd have to have someone farming it constantly, have preserving salts in your inventory (and the inventory of the dino that's getting the meat for you, and the inventory of the folks carrying it to you the whole time) ...

I have 27 inventory taken in the Obelisk on Unofficial and there's nothing there.. I've tried putting stuff in and trying to get it to appear but it doesn't. Any ideas on how I can free those slots? Steam and console can play together unless it is a console only server.
There are issues with windows store version and maybe gamepass not sure, it is because no anti-cheat. But I think they can still even play pve together.
It is not like there is no crossplay....get game on steam and console. avoid all the windows store and epic stuff.

i had that same issue, then did it with my wyvern and found the ravens spawning in groups of 5, in the immediate surrounding area around the oasisaur, just kill all ravens you see, might have to fly a little up to render them in.

I am trying to transfer fertilized eggs I just got in a trade from one Island server to another. When I look in the obelisk inventory, it shows me a timer for 15 minutes. When I pull an egg out before the 15 minutes, it seems to destroy the egg. If I leave it in storage, the timer just seems to reset every 15 minutes. for singleplayer. obelisks can be used to upload your items into ark data, creatures into their tab (just upload cryos) and in the center you can upload your survivor.
when you upload your survivor, anything you have on you is dropped and your survivor gets put into the "cloud", after that you just quit and start another map and download your survivor. you'll need to go to an obelisk to get your stuff back.
once you have tek, a tek transmitter can also be used

I don't expect to get much help but I am desperate at this point so I might as well give it a try.
I have this bug where every time the server transfer timer resets , I get kicked out of the server. With the error being "Host Connection Timeout: Lost/timeout connection to host".
this makes the game practically unplayable as I can't go underwater, fight bosses and I constantly die due to it disconnecting me all the time. This issue has been bothering me for years on both ASE and ASA , and on two separate accounts. I have tried everything to fix it: verify the game's file integrity ,reinstall my windows, change steam and ark settings, change/reset internet settings and much more. The weird thing is that this issue only occurs on official PvE, so I don't have any problems playing official PvP, smalltribes and unofficial. No one I have talked to knows how to resolve it so I don't expect to get it fixed , but I just thought I would make one final attempt.
A friend of mine also has this issue so my case is not isolated or unique.

the rhynio levels are dependant on, host, rhynio that impregnates and then the cravings, the more cravimngs you fulfill, the better the level

that error is probably a bug with windows store ark or the windows store itself, not much you can do. reinstalling the game may help

a hard drive is not ideal for ark, though. survival evolved needs a solid-state drive to not run terribly/crash more often, and ascended needs one to run at all

Hello, I need help please, I don't know what to do anymore. I can't connect to dedicated servers. When I want to join a friend's server it tells me "Joined failed". And if I want to join non-dedicated servers of other players it also throws another error.
But if I want to connect to an UNOFFICIAL server, it allows me to do so and play without problems. It's possibly some problem with the network, but I've already tried disabling the firewall, public DNS, reinstalling the game, graphics, everything. Would it occur to anyone what else it could be?

it is a network quality issue with your ISP or whatever specific server you are trying to join, if some dedicated servers work. nothing you can do about it

None of these should be the problem, as I have already re-installed the game on multiple occasions, the problem also occurred on ASE which I could run on all epic settings so it is not a performance issue either. It could be due to poor internet but I don't understand why it would happen only on official PvE servers (all of them) while official PvP,smalltribes, unofficial etc. all run without any problems.

There's 15 levels tied to the alpha overseer - the other bosses don't give extra levels.
There's 10 levels for getting all the regular explorer notes and dossiers (the sooner you get them, the better, since canon maps will all have explorer notes)
There's an additional 5 levels for the Bob's Tall Tale notes.

There's also 5 levels for maxing out a chibi.

*That's not to say the levels are added to you automatically! Your maximum level is raised by those amounts.
