If your keyboard has a numpad it should also have a numlock key, usually at the top right of the keyboard. This switches your numpad between the numbers on the pad and the other functions of those keys, i.e the arrows

asa beetles auto collect poop , if u want to do it by hand put the dinos on a 1 high ceiling floor, then the poop gets stuck just under the ceiling tiles

We alpha ascended with 6 rexs and 8 stegos and a charch, at the end once overseer was dead we podded everything, removed all our gear including the chibis and put them inside a rex. Rex was at tek door after ascending with everything inside it. Last week our ark server settings was great, our harvesting settings was how we wanted it, our taming is how we wanted it. Worked perfectly

Now harvesting rates are extremely low, and taming is fucked 💀 for example a dodo is gaining 1% from a mejoberry and losing taming effectiveness instantly

For broodmother the best thing you could use is high lvl, well mutated megatheriums, they are way better than Rex’s for brood

Megatheriums get a massive damage boost when “enraged” by any creature made of chitin when they die around the megatheriums, i had normal damage megas doing about 300 a swing, got chitin boost and it went to about 900

So if you have megatheriums mutated with really good stats and do a base damage of 800 or more you will easily shred the broodmother with megatheriums especially if you have a yuty

Get a couple decent megatheriums, screenshot their base stats, breed and go from there, see which stats change when a mutation pops up and if it’s health or melee focus those over everything else

If you tame any animal, and it has base health of 2000, and you breed it with an animal that has less health than that, and the creature pops out with a mutation and has health higher than 2000, that’s a health mutation. You can check to see if the creature has a mutation by opening the Dino’s inventory and clicking the show ancestors button

Yea, unless the cluster you’re playing on has mods for those creatures to normal spawn, they won’t. However if you’re just looking to add some decent Dino’s , reaper is cool, rock drake is cool, and wyverns are cool, only thing is they’re not super PvE useful, however the karkinos is, along with tek stryder

Anyone have any ideas of what's happening to my partners single player? He tamed some ovis last night, server didn't save properly and a lot of what he had done was undone. Logged in and tamed 2 wyrms, bred them and raised the baby then went to tame a wyvern. Logged off and when he logged back in some of his crop plots had randomly broken, 2 sets of armor had disappeared completely from inventory, ammo has disappeared, wyvern no longer taming, structures disappeared, ovis cannot be found anywhere but tribe log says they were tamed and other things aren't right either. It's like the server hasn't saved but he still has some of his recent tames.

You are correct. I used cheat ghost to go under and was able to grab them. Lol. At least they're not actually fake. That was blowing my mind. So devs need to move them a bit so they stop clipping into the mesh

33.38 is the latest version for Xbox. Some patches are just for servers and some only fix issues on certain platforms. They keep all the platforms at the same point of development for crossplay reasons but not every patch is relevant to every platform

Yeah they've done a patch recently to fix single player saving on PlayStation but haven't resolved the issue on Xbox yet, and there was a patch for PC to improve some performance but neither of those affect the Xbox

Also, if you're trying for a Quetz solo (Not sure if it's been patched) but I used a couple Rare flowers to lure it to my base, then kept dropping honey till it was close enough to the ground to trap with Dino Gates. Worked for me

Only temporary fixes are admin commands - destroywilddinos, wait 5 seconds, and then saveworld
Even that doesn't always work though. Personally it works 2/3 times

beehives spawn like any other creature but a lot slower and can only spawn in set locations, if u search it up u might be able to find a map on the wiki of beehive locations

you can build a trap out stone an lead wyverns to it,

Server ping used to cap at 255 and then the server would crash if it stayed there too long. They removed the cap, so now higher ping doesn't necessarily mean worse performance. Their server rooms are probably pretty toasty though. If you're playing on an official server, high pings are pretty normal now.

Anyone else experiencing troubles on ASA non-dedicated servers being kicked out when entering specific areas?
We’ve been playing for roughly 50h and every now and then the game decides to kick us both out once we fly/run across specific points on the map. And they seem to vary as well. One day it’s south-east close to herbivore island, the other day it’s around the volcano.

yeah sounds pretty suspicious to me. you can check its imprinting, if the baby did suddenly grow then the imprint should be pretty low. if he cheated, he mightve set the imprint quality to max as well

What you are looking for is "Force Show Item Names" under the Advanced tab in the settings menu

If it's not turning off when you do that, it's bugged

If they are singles they have a very short decay timer, like single pillars etc. Iirc they only snap to other dedis so you have to have a minimum of two together at all times.

Is there no metal in the snow biome anymore?? It seems to all be oil now. We've mined almost all of the rocks on the coastline in the snow biome and it's all been oil so far and a few crystal. I remember in ASE there were tons of metal nodes on the coastline of the snow biome.

there is its just coated with a different texture, it sparkles in the snow but looks very similar to the normal rocks

Hmm well we went around the whole snow biome on a raft and harvested every rock we came across that was accessible to us and it was all oil or regular rocks. Found a couple obsidian rocks but not a single metal rock. I just watched a video where there's tons of metal on the cliff edges so they must've moved it up to a higher elevation so rafts can't get to it. 🤷

yeah, metal rocks arent found on the coast anymore in the snow, if ur looking for safe metal early game go to 80 45 probably the safest metal hill in the island

I'm running a crossplay server and my PS5 character can no longer hold any inventory or spawn anything in. To be specific, I can enter a GFI spawn code and it won't show me that anything is put into my inventory, however, if i log in via PC instead, I can see the inventory on my PS5 character. I also cannot see any inventory in any structures with my PS5 character, but they are visible to my PC account and to others. I have tried completely destroying that PS5 character and creating a new one and the problem persists.
Also, it's only effecting my server. If I go into single player it works fine on both PS5 and PC.

You've accidentally tried to pull up global chat the way it was pulled up on ASE. On ASE, it was L1 + Touchpad. Only in ASA (since code was basically copy and paste) they forgot to get rid of old command. So it'll combine the ASE with ASA L1 + touchpad commands. Breaking chat. You'll need to log out and back in

Tek Cave and Gamma Overseer: Our private server set to official settings did it this evening. Finished it but it was a janky bad experience. Couple questions: 1) We lost all gear, inventory, and all dinos not in the overseer chamber. I though you only lose element. Any way around that?
