It’s not about that, everybody knows about explorer note runs lmaoooo…why do that if I just need a water tame quick? when I can just kill a dodo and tame a dolphin with literally nothing. It logically makes more sense, because then I also have very reliable transportation to hit the pearl cave notes more effectively already..which in turn means I get the baryonyx or whatever other tame a lot quicker than you would from just going straight for the bary. It’s not that the bary is hard, it’s a matter of the dolphin being so much easier when you have very little resources and just need something quick

Its okay to agree with someone else. In both pvp and pve its way more usefull to tame a dolphin for quick pearls, mobility, or even deep sea crate runs. Early game its literally the easiest and fastest water tame, instead of struggling with a bary the whole time, unneccesarily wasting time while you could spend that doing way more efficient things to progress.

In PvE you don't even really need to be in the water that early game with the exception of maybe 1-2 maps, the underwater explorer notes aren't really necessary for leveling, so by the time I'm even bothering with that biome I'm probably looking for Black Pearls

Sure, bary has good mobility and offense. I wont need any offense when my leveled dolphin has way better mobility though. I can just zoom past literally anything. If you just dont give a shit and yolo to your objective you are farming efficiently without ever needing offensive dinos, and also saving yourself time. And then again, if you do mess up and die, its easy as hell to tame a new one

@molten falcon The exe is the executable. I'm taking a guess to why this keeps getting delayed. If dollie is waiting for something from engineers then there is something they are working on that she is waiting on or is dependent on. Just because there are trailers and game play released doesn't mean it was from the version of the build they wanted to actually release to steam. Binary Cook is kinda a strange term (to me)... but it sounds like they are creating the release build for the version of the game they want to submit to steam. If we consider how complex and large these games are, building an application like this could probably take hours.

Turned off all "extra" settings such as motion blur, light shafts, etc.
On all epic, it was 25-35 roughly. (With shadows on low)
On all high, it was 40-50, though stuck around 45 mostly. (With shadows on low)

Comparison to ASE;
All epic + shadows, light shafts, etc (minus motion blur cause I get ez motion sick) I run on 90+ (mainly upwards of 120) fps without issue.

Some news for the Console Survivors,

Last night, while continuing our internal quality assurance process for ASA, our team identified some critical issues in the multiplayer version of the game that would have had major implications for the console versions of the game. Unfortunately, due to these issues, we’ve decided to **delay the launch of the Xbox and PlayStation versions of the game until November. **

We understand that this news is disappointing, and trust us, we’re disappointed too. The team really did aim to get everything out for all platforms in October, but we fell short just at the finish line. We’re sorry about that, as we know a lot of you have been very excited about this launch and made plans around it.

Next steps?

As of now, we’re working on two tracks. One track is managing the launch of PC, and the other track is preparing a patch for the game's console version with the latest content/gameplay updates and fixes.

The additional time lets us resolve those specific multiplayer issues and bring the game up to the PC specification, which received a number of critical improvements as the console versions were going through certification.

We’re still planning to keep crossplay between Steam and Consoles disabled until we’ve entered the quicker certification process, but that decision could change based on how things are looking with PC at the time.

The added benefit of this change is that it also enables us to ensure a smoother console launch as we’ll have fought many of the initial fires with PC and have a more content-rich and stable modding experience that has been battle-tested when the game becomes available on consoles.

2. Go to the location of Ark SurvivalEvolved in your steam library* and delete the following folder:
   c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\ArkSurvivalEvolved\BattlEye
   *your path might be different up to \SteamApps
3. Delete the following folder:
   c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\BattlEye\
4. Go to your windows user directory* and delete the following file:
   c:\Users\YOUR_WINDOWS_USER_NAME\AppData\Local\ArkSurvivalEvolved\BattlEye\BEClient.dll
   *you may need to allow display of hidden / system folder and files to be able to navigate to it.
5. Start steam, and verify the Ark game cache:
   Steam > ArkSurvivalEvolved > Properites > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Cache
   This will download BE files, and rebuild the folder deleted in step 2.
6. Start Steam, and launch Ark, you will be prompted to reinstall Battleye (the installer splash screen looks like it was designed in about 1983)
   This step rebuilds the folders deleted in steps 3 and 4, and restarts the necessary BE services.

Unfortunately, due to these issues, we’ve decided to **delay the launch of the Xbox and PlayStation versions of the game until November. **

We understand that this news is disappointing, and trust us, we’re disappointed too. The team really did aim to get everything out for all platforms in October, but we fell short just at the finish line. We’re sorry about that, as we know a lot of you have been very excited about this launch and made plans around it.

Next steps?

As of now, we’re working on two tracks. One track is managing the launch of PC, and the other track is preparing a patch for the game's console version with the latest content/gameplay updates and fixes.

The additional time lets us resolve those specific multiplayer issues and bring the game up to the PC specification, which received a number of critical improvements as the console versions were going through certification.

We’re still planning to keep crossplay between Steam and Consoles disabled until we’ve entered the quicker certification process, but that decision could change based on how things are looking with PC at the time.

The added benefit of this change is that it also enables us to ensure a smoother console launch as we’ll have fought many of the initial fires with PC and have a more content-rich and stable modding experience that has been battle-tested when the game becomes available on consoles.

My friend can't join my non dedicated server, because I put it on private but I dont have the option to make a server password in order for her to be able to join. Anyone know what im doing wrong?
