Hi! My friend and I are trying to host a non-dedicated session but it does not not want to work no matter what we do. It either times out when trying to join from the server searcher or says "EOS not implemented" when just trying to join with the Epic Games Services. When we invite each other there is no response when accepting it. We do not use any mods. We tried reinstalling the game multiple times as well as removing Epic completely, then reinstalling. Do we need to do sth else or special to get his working?

If you’re buying one you’ll pay around $15/month per map, and you can play anytime on it with any friends. If you host a dedicated session you need to set aside either a pc or an Xbox to actually host the server and then join from the other device. So you can either host your own server or pay to have someone else do it

Then it's not a Win10 server if you're using Steam.
Win10 refers to the Microsoft store version of Ark, not the PC's OS.

You put either berries or carrots on the last slot of your hot bar, sneak up and feed it. Then you’ll either automatically jump on or you’ll need to jump on. It’ll start running and when it tries to buck you off you feed it again.

Another player cannot upload his character to travel to other maps on the cluster. He sees the cluster maps, click one, but nothing happens.

I am able to travel between maps. It just seems to be him (haven't asked anyone else on the server yet, no one is online yet). Is his character bugged? Does he need to make a new one?

but those will also be closed eventually once people move to the new game

I've been playing The Island recently, never really gotten into Ark much before this, and i'm pretty well developed I think. I'm level 92, got most of the harvesting animals like a doedic, anky, beaver, and moose, as well as an argy (and several other animals). I've got electronics like a refrigerator and fabricator, but no heavy cookers yet. Now my question is for the end game. How should I prepare for the gamma boss fights? All the videos I'm finding are for the alpha and beta boss fights, and they say that I need like 18 super rexes, a yuty, and a pig thing. Do I need all that for just the gamma fights? If not, what do I need? Preferably I'd have the same lineup for each fight so I can save myself some time.

that is the most preferable setup because that like guaranties a win. you could go in with like a full 20 rexes or somthing. but for broodmother go megatheriums because they get a bug bonus buff, dragon go therizenosaurs because they have a fire resistance buff, and for the monkey rexes,therizenosaurs, or megatheriums would work

the line up would save time but this setup would mean you couldn't lose.

Yes, however you can always just switch maps and it should still allow you to upload characters/dinos beforehand on one server,[providing you dont have downloads/uploads blocked] you don't necessarily need a server for every map unless you have a larger group that wants to simultaneously play on seperate maps.

I'm no real expert on rock drake gathering but i'd recommend you check some videos to get an idea of where you need to go, once you're confident i'd suggest extra food & water , an extra set of hazmat, climbing picks, ziplines and the zipline armor attachment, glider and ideally another megalo in a cryopod, might get mobbed by drakes

You can use it but it’s going to increase the odds of getting a desired male in the future

No. Every stat added to the line is an extra roll of the dice that has to roll favorably for a new male to replace the old. With one stat you need to roll a mutation, and then that mutation has to roll on the desired stat, which also has to be inherited from the mutated male. With 2 stats per line you’ll have to get both stats inherited from the male as well as the mutation in the desired stat.

F opens the inventory of the tame you’re riding

Had this issue before. I believe a file reverification and revert to default for keybinds fixed it

Probably a keybinds issue. Certain things you cant bind without it conflicting/causing issues. Also possible you accidentily rebound something by scrolling mouse or something while in the window

what engrams? the blueprints? thats a button. theres 3 buttons on the top right of the fabricator inventory, they all have to be active

So my friend and I started playing Ark (Non
Dedicated) and finished all of the bosses and would like to transfer to Scorched Earth. We tried to transfer to Dedicated server and our survivors aren't appearing when we try to download them to the new Dedicated server. What are we doing wrong? We've tried the supply drops, obelisks, and tek transmitter. We can only transfer to non dedicated so far but we really want dedicated so we aren't tethered anymore (We are both on Xbox)

as long as its a nitrado hosted server you just need to disable the "cluster" stuff, renable it afterwards.

you are hosting it on another PC/console through the game?

i thought you could maybe load the whole save onto the server, then upload the stuff on the server, shut the server down, switch to scorched and download your stuff there

its not possible on consoles as you can't move saves.

even win10 you can't get singleplayer saves only existing dedicateds

yeah, you can't disable the cluster stuff on a client hosted server not sure if there is a way to get it to a dedicated

I get the issue lol. go to the respawn screen and download it from there. survivors aren't in ark data (obelisks)

they got their own spot

the game also crashed and killed our dinos out of existence so those are completely gone

they are in the cloud? why cant they just save it on your pc like every other steam game does

Because it's Microsoft, not Steam..
