Probably most common cause is not having the mods installed and subscribed to then When you enter the server you will attempt to download the mods and if it takes more than like 30s it will timeout

Unfortunately non dedicated has issues. This one is one. You can play one time then the next time not. This can be due to the hosts router cache, them not having a static ip (ip addresses cycle every 24 hours generally) or just wildcard spaghetti code.

The only sure fire way to fix this is with a dedicated server option

hey peeps, need you advice / help again ; friend of mine and i played extinction for a while on a non dedicated server, got bored, switched to lost island, added two mods, and suddenly a) load time is extremely long and b) my friend can not join , it loads forever and then it just says 'lost connection'

Usually clusters have an issue when on the same Lan, but you can get by it with the nat looping or sometimes a VPN if it's a separate machine

Guys i´m struggling with the savegame download and need any ideas! I downloaded my Offi Savegame which worked well, i can start it with that whatever notice in Steam Options but if i try to start it without that savegame option the game crashes all the time! I guess a fully builded map is just to much for my Laptop but i tried "low Graphics" and "low memory" start and everything else what google told me. It´s just not working 😦 Any ideas?

I'm just trying to practice a few things in single player and need the settings to match that of official. you wont see expert settings without checking it in general. you can try clicking reinstall and see if that will do it. if not, then you will have to have them restart it for you

Will they eventually build a dam or will they only do that on natural ground? Will building a ceiling over them (for protection) also hamper their ability to build dams?

Dams themselves can appear anywhere near the places wild Castoroides spawn in. If a wild Beaver is relocated into a different zone, it will not spawn any dams.

They don't really "build" them, so much as the dams just appear near a wild beaver spawn with active beavers iirc

Alright I’ve been having problems getting admins in my server to be able to use admin commands to wipe all the wild dinos. It’s a dedicated valguero server and I was wondering if I as the host would be able to just go in myself to the same world and use the cheat instead? Yes it did have an admin password and they were typing it in just by itself and nothing changed

then restart server

save it after removal. then save it on return and launch. this happened to me on a nitrado server before actually. had to re do it cause it didnt register the word, but it registered that i needed a password

No. You would need a mod to add them and the nests.
Simple Spawners allows you to add the nests and deinons whereever you want.

Kraken's Better Dinos also adds deinonychus to non native maps and will add their nests too.
