Let's say you're breeding a line of rexes for 20 melee mutations then you find a wild dino with a better melee stat than the ones you were breeding.. Do you have to start over breeding from scratch or can you breed the new dino with the 20 mutations (on one side) and get a baby with the better stats as well as the 20 mutations?

Your goal should be to Tame the best stats you can find first for dino line and mix and mutate

You can go over the 20 point line, mutation breeding has no cap if you know what your doing, until you reach 254 pts in a dino stat

A mutation adds points to a line. If you start with 40, mutate 10 times. The Stat is 60. Taming a 45 after won't contribute at all to the line and would waste time starting over

Once you have a line mutating it's a waste of time to tame more

You won't necessarily unlock everything by completing one given map. Tekgrams are more tied into their creatures than their map, so purely Ragnarok won't get you the helmet or boots. You'll need to use another map too that has a boss that can unlock them for you.

Not to say that every boss is required, there's enough overlap to cut out quite a few for the most part, but you're gonna need to do a few to unlock everything you want.

Check to make sure its not more than half overweight, make sure its an ore node it swings at.... after those two. Idk. Ark hitboxes can sometimes be suprisingly off. perfect example being the small black rock surface texture on abb. Ruins hitboxes and can make your drake undermesh if you fight on it

So with a single stat per line you have to roll a mutation in a desired stat, plus the males base stat for the new baby to be a viable replacement. Every different stat mutation you add to a line is another stat that has to be inherited from the male for the new baby to be viable.

It’s not really quicker. Just imagine rolling a dice and you need to roll a 6. Odds aren’t terrible. But every other stat you add is another dice that has to land on 6 for your line to advance. The more dice you throw at once the less likely you are to get a desired roll.

About my mutations I have only gotten 3 mutations and that’s what it says on the patrilineal line but on the matrilineal line it says I have 4

And when I get 20/20 mutations is there a way to keep the stats and put it back to 0/20

I suggest watching a video guide like syntacs. but mutations will double if both parents are mutated, never have mutated breed with mutated unless its the combining lines at the end. keep mutations on one side (usually male as then multiple females) or switch out the other with an unmutated dino.

You can keep mutating as long as the parents are below 20 mutations , that's why you should do mutations on a male and have 0/0 females , once the male gets to 20 the chances of getting a mutation is halved, that is also why you should have different breed lines for each stat that you want. One way to not get mutation chances halved after 20 is to get that number negative , takes around 32 generations to do so

yep, I suggest making the server, launching it then just switching the saves. your survivor on the other hand will need to be uploaded then downloaded through ark data to the server, just don't set up anything cluster related until after, don't transfer anything but your survivor since other things can have issues.

moving dinos, eggs, and some other things through ark data on non-clustered servers can lead to them resetting. I highely recommend moving your save to a server, then making them clustered before transferring stuff to another map. or staying on singleplayer as its in the solecluster.

Then I clicked save wanted to open the game and it said “validating” and started downloading

help. where do i find the opening described here? ark fjordur, mines of moria. Whichever way you come in, head to the area across the long, narrow bridge with two pools of lava that extend into columns on either side (you might not have to cross it, depending on what entrance you use). Stand between the lava pillars, face the bridge, then slowly turn to the right. You’ll see a small opening that you can crouch through after crossing a precarious ledge.
