on non-dedi and singleplayer sometimes the nodes get deleted if instant respawn timer (set close to 0 not actually 0) doesn't have them respawn and there isn't any structures nearby then thats probably what happened.
running the save on a dedicated server can get those nodes back tho.

They mean kill off your character. Eat poly, take fall damage, kill yourself somehow. May fix the issue. It's one of the ways anyway depending on the settings you altered

I recommend if it's a new server, just click reinstall and set all settings to default. Then rework your server from there.

Yeah thats the problem. Mutations can only trigger when at least one of the two numbers is below 20/20. Since you have bred mutated with mutated dinos together, the mutation count increased so much that you are now no longer able to get any mutations

Since I'm also just starting out with breeding for mutations and don't really know how to fix this, I recommend you watch some videos or read up on Ark Mutation stacking. With mutation stacking you are able to get dinos with more than 20 mutations

easiest way to explain mutating dinos is.
get a set of unmutated male and multiple females. make sure they have the same stats (not level, stats)
breed until you get a mutated male with the stat mutation in the stat you want, replace its father with the grown up mutated male. repeat until you get bored
repeat that process for each stat, and then at the end breed them together. to get the final mutated pair.

you always want to keep it on a male BUT you can breed a mutated female with the original unmutated male to get it back on a male.

I actually also have a question about mutating. I have some females and a male, all with the same stats. I now got a health mutation on a male, which is one of the stats I want to mutate for. If I now swap out my original male for the new one, and I get another mutation, should this mutation also be on health or can it be on damage as well, for example or should I have two different lines that get exclusively health and damage mutations?

thats up to you. but I would suggest only doing one stat at a time. if you get a new health mutation but the melee doesn't carry over you wouldn't be able to use it.

i have a non dedicated server on the fjordur map but i noticed since yesterday dino's and nodes with metal or crystals don't respawn anymore and my oil pump do nothing anymore is this some kind of bug?

not sure about the oil pump. but nodes can be deleted if you shutdown the non-dedi when they are broken. raise respawn timers and hope, if that doesn't work you have to run the save as a dedicated server to get the nodes back (can switch back after)

I prefer dire wolves. They have pack boost and mate boost if you bring a male and female.

Weapons won't be used much as generally getting off your mount means death. But some parts you may need to. Give. The small quarters a pump shotgun will work wonders. Just watch friendly fire.

Shadowmanes would probably work better. But may be harder for some to get.

The error originates in the framework itself. Which leads me to think their files are corrupt. However at the same time non dedicated on steam is notoriously unreliable. What you described is often the case where it works once then never again. A dedicated server typically solves most issues

if a structure is too close, and on non-dedi/SP there is a bug that stops them from respawning if you quit the game with them not spawned. the only way to fix that bug is to run the save on a dedicated server.

I can't join my friend and he can't join us (Windows 10). This has been an issue for a while now and we've been trying for so long, so this is kind of a last resort. So one of my friends used to play on xbox and more recently switched to pc, and since he switched over to the windows 10 version of the game none of us have been able to join him. The world we've been trying to join was a world we played on when he was on the xbox version of the game. We also recently figured out that he can't join us either. Every time we try to join him it just says "Join Failed". I have no clue if this has to do with him switching to pc or not (I assume it is) but it's been months since we've been able to play together on our world. All I can say is if others can join, and he can't. The issue is on his side. Join failed is a error due to Internet security settings of either the host or the client. If others can join then again, the host isn't the issue

I play on a non-dedicated server hosted by my friend. We always play smoothly with no errors and such. Although everytime my pc either crashes or i lose my internet connection - causing me to crash from the server as well, obviously - as i try to get into the server again, the "Connection Timeout" error comes up.
No matter what i try (Example: rebooting my pc, restarting steam, restarting ark, turn off and on my internet connection) nothing seems to fix my problem if not rebooting the HOST'S PC...
It's such a hussle because i don't want my friend to reboot his pc everytime i crash.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem? (oh and we also tried to restart steam and ark, and turn off internet connection on his pc, the only thing that can fix it is him just straight-up rebooting his pc)
We've already tried seeing if the server still thinks that i'm in game from the host administration panel, but i wasn't in game. So... out of options if not rebooting his pc, what should we do?

First time u do it if nobody has been recently the eggs usually ready to spoil soon as picked up. Jus clear em all out n go back after few mins when wyvs have respawned. Those eggs wont spoil straight away. Rock drake eggs do the same

And if tame that maewing can hold in its saddle needs walk for imprint u can mount the maewing after putting dino in saddle n activting follow then jus run on maewing til get imprint its alot quicker. Also for those who dont know put points into nursing effectiveness to increase range of maewing nursing

Everything is the same. Single player as a mode has bosses hard coded to be easier with this debuff. It causes triple damage dealt and 70% damage taken.

But it's wildly inconsistent and bugged as Ark always is. When I did the center bosses, Broodmother had the debuff but Megapithicus did not, so the former got instantly melted while the latter put up a fight. All the titans got the debuff, but the island bosses did not.

I was just hoping there was some kind of a work around and this setting seemed to allude to it.

I've seen a test done and that didn't exist at all. they checked on Singleplayer, non-dedi, and dedicated. there was only a slight difference (less then 5 damage difference)

I didn't have this problem with the island bosses like I said. It's just buggy so it's very inconsistent. But half of the center boss fight, all of the titan boss fights, had the debuff.

its probably tied to the center's version of brood, they are different creatures.
they weren't talking about bosses anyway. Most of the differences get fixed with changing settings. some like beer being made faster or this one can't

look at the dino and do TakeAllDino. gives all that tribes dinos to you. TakeAllStructure for structures

Can anyone tell me why the artifacts on Extinction are sky blue for me? I know that’s not what there supposed to look like it’s like there textures are bugged out.

Also isn’t the simulated sky in the desert and arctic biodomes supposed to fully surround you instead of just taking up half the sky and the other half being see through to the rest of the map? I’m pretty sure that’s also not supposed to be like that and it’s annoying me. If you anybody has suggestions on how I can fix these issues @ me (I’m playing singleplayer btw)

@thick basin uninstalling and reinstalling will not delete your saves. Mine were there still after I have done it each time. And its xbox. It will be fine and I do recommend it cause it starts getting worse as time goes. Next thing you know, you're falling through the map and losing tames/items constantly.

Bought the game weeks ago, was able to play with my friend for a few hours. Went to grab some food. Afterwards came back, booted the game -> error message / shootergame has crashed. Uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, checked the files for corruption/ let checks run. Booted up with various different stuff. Same thing. Tried again yesterday still same thing
