That was possible 1-2 years back when people completed impossible-to-do alpha difficulty solo missions with the help of "glitches". Try those missions now again and it will be impossible according to most people.

I completed every mission on solo mid 2022. There were no glitches, no exploits and no hacks. You are listening to people who live in a wood and thatch hut who haven’t beaten gamma megapithicus and have likely never done a playthrough without using admin commands. If you don’t want to believe experience then just keep believing it can’t be done.

The only one that is 'impossible" rn is the ice fishing. Mostly because you can't sit in the chair to start the mission

But many of them were playing the genesis map with good weapons, good armor, etc. Also, the newest videos on those missions which I saw, people did those missions with a group of 2-3 people, didn't see any new solo videos on those missions. Last solo video I saw online was on 2021.

I have personally, without help, exploits, glitches, or admin commands, beaten every single alpha mission and every single alpha boss on the story maps. If someone tells you it can’t be done what they’re saying is that they cannot do it.

I have no idea. Some of them only took a few tries to get the hang of it. Others took days of trying back to back. Some of them I had to farm out better equipment for. I’d have to look at my server for specific details but all together I’d guess it took me 3 months minimum to complete them all. That’s 3 months after starting genesis 1&2

Single player is easier

Assuming you enable the single player setting checkbox. That scales the game for a single player instead of a tribe.

Deleting the game through storage and reinstalling it seems to have worked so far. It doesn’t crash whenever I exit or load some area anymore. 👍

a boring question. I'm hosting a dedicated server for myself and friends. The goal was to have a server that's up basically whenever anyone wants to get on, but when nobody is on, hibernation happens, that way we can sorta have a non-dedicated server style, but not depend on a specific person to be online. Unfortunately, since it's a dedicated server, there's not a hibernation feature. Does anyone know if there's a mod or similar that would make stasis behave like hibernation? i.e. if nobody is online, time just hard stops. At the moment, stasis is making our baby dino lives sad.

Well i am playing on smalls, and i usually don't ahve problems with this, as i usually just go to my breed base server after trading for things like eggs and they don't go to lvl1, but this time i first went to the server with my main base and the eggs are fine, but can't be transfered

#bobs-with-probs @everyone idk what happened or how but I was ferrying resources between my single player bases on scorched and ab and i was entering scorched, the cutscene played where helena greets you as a homodeus which i believe is supposed to happen for the first time you enter a map (even tho ive already beaten scorched) and i was really weirded out by that but then i clicked to skip the cutscene and then the game froze and crashed. When i booted the game back up it put me back on the download survivor screen but now my lvl 129 survivor was nowhere to be seen. I checked all my bases which were still there but my survivor is just gone and i cant download him on any ark anymore. I've had this survivor since 2020 and really really don't want to just lose him like this does anyone know what to do? I really am desperate and am willing to try anything to get him back but it sounds like he might just be gone forever which I really don't want to admit...

There is a setting the reduces the time between imprints, but it simultaneously reduces the amount of imprint progress per imprint. Otherwise it depends on the type of dinosaur how many imprints it takes to 100%.

If you are not above cheating "setimprintquality 1" can get you 100%.

Like a Yuty on SP settings takes 5 imprints, a Rex 3 (I think) but an Allo only takes 1. On default SP settings there are even some dinos you can't imprint at all because they'll mature before asking for their first imrpint. Baryonyx... looking at you.

Mining Drill is great for resources, but you can already get Mining Drill on Lost Island and Fjordur. Tek Stryder on Genesis 2 is great for resources as well, absolutely hoovers up resources in the space biome. Good to have as long as you can fit the Tek Stryder in your base

Missions have a massive pool of possible loot, so it really varies with what you get from missions. If you really want cryopods in the masses you should do Extinction O.S.D instead. Stalkers are available on both Genesis maps. Stryders can act as portable beds and portable Tek Transmitters (except for creature transfer). Stryders also have a random combination of 2 attachments that give it different functions, however there is a specific combination of 2 attachments that is amazing at gathering resources and having the weight significantly reduced, making resource farming a breeze

Don’t have one big base, have 3 or 4 scattered around the map. I have my main base on Haven, a equipment/dino/egg storage in the redwoods, and a breeding base at the blue obilisk

If you need to get somewhere far and you don’t have a flyer with good stamina, it’s better to walk it out. Sticking to the beaches and risking a stray spino is safer than landing every minute or so and waiting for stamina to go back up

any tips for someones first time fighting the island bosses?

broodmother is a simple tank and spank. megatherium is great because bug buff but you can fight it with any usual boss team

megapithicus has the least hp out of the 3 bosses, but its rock throw can 1shot you if you're dismounted, and deals a lot of damage to your dinos. you also want to bring very good fur armor and soups

best way to handle it is to stay at the starting area and let it come to you, or run up the bridge and into its spawn area. if you fight on the bridge you can easily lose when half your team gets knocked off and killed

dragon can be one of the toughest bosses in the game. you can fight with most boss teams but theriz are usually a good team because they take less damage from being on fire

also bring good armor and more soups because dimorphs can kill you while mounted

tek cave and overseer, the cave itself is usually harder than the overseer

you have to lead a team of dinos down a winding passage with lava and high level shit everywhere

you can make it a lot easier by taming a Carch to bring in with you

but be mindful of where your tames are walking because the passages can get very narrow, and things like rexes have a tendency to yeet themselves into pools of lava

the overseer itself can be tough, but it's straightforward. best to fight it dismounted in good armor (bring extras), bring soups too because it's very cold in the arena. it's easy enough to dodge around the ground adds but the air adds can get annoying, bring your best 2-3 shotguns and a solid 600 shells

the boss will zip around the room, forcing your dinos to chase it, and now and then it'll take on the form of one of the 3 other bosses, with the same attacks but less hp i think

Just had the greatest failure in lost island history, tried to tame a pt and my partner went and tried to kill an alpha raptor with nothing but a dodo and a pickaxe (we were hardcore btw). They died, and respawned before o could take the pt, then i was killed cause i was trying to get a dilophosaur to help distract the alpha while i get the pt. The dilophosaurs mate killed my because my partner bavked out while i was trying to knock it. So i lost the pt. AND we knocked out a few pelegornises but there were no fucking fish- so we killed a meg and ONLY my Pelegornis woke up, then when we went back to base, i found a Sinomacrops and didn't have any thing to feed it so i tried to get some from my partner and the Sino straight up disappeared :']

Should be able to take tames from any server. When uploading remove saddle. Not sure if its changed but last i used it when putting dinos directly into upload the saddle ended up in bag on floor

Anyways, HP looks very good. 37 points in that. Weight, too. 39 points. Find a mate with good stamina (currently 27) and damage (~25... Maybe a rounded decimal problem) and you have a breeding pair.

Is there a bug that makes wild dinos disappear? I'm on a local hosted SP game without mods. Yesterday I spotted a 140 carcha. Did some work around the base, flew over with a pen to try and tame it and it's just ... gone. There is a lvl 15 alpha Rex in the area but I doubt those 2 would fight each other and if they did the carcha would've won.

Has anyone ever had a bug in the game where the gamma inside of your base steadily rises to insane levels? I mean it's only inside of your base structures, nowhere else and it's as if there is an invisible light in the middle of your base that keeps getting brighter and brighter until the inside of your base is uncomfortably bright and the only fix it is to quit to the main menu and enter the game again. It's making the game unplayable for me right now.

Why are you confused? Different parents, different stats. You got lucky and most of the higher stats transferred to the baby so you get a higher level. Also, imprinting does literally nothing for the level of a dino.
