you also got to watch for, well everything that lives in the redwoods, microraptors, thylacoleos, saberteeth, the odd rex here and there, raptors, carnotaurus, yeah. The redwoods are a very dangerous place, especially if you want to tame something there. You might need to protect your bear when it gets knocked out in case something wants to eat it.

One of the more popular ones, get a high health quetzal and box your character in so that it can't be dismounted by the flock, or if you are you don't die, and just peck it to death. Lightning shouldn't be hard to dodge.

There are loads of methods. I do the argent one myself but I've heard about this one a lot.

basically if you breed dinos, the baby will have either the mother’s or the father stat, its random for each individual stat of the baby, a mutation is when you get +2 base levels into one of those stats

when they get a mutation there a chance one of the babies color regions changes color too

Theres a like a 5% chance to get a mutation on a baby, u can get double muts too but they’re way more rare

I only tamed a few, but all without trapping, and they ate every time without any problems.
If you use some half decent Hp Rex babies it will instantly let you ride so no real need for a trap.

(I think your issue comes mainly from trapping it, every time I saw someone mentioning they don’t eat a corpse, they also tried trapping it.
And I don’t recall seeing anyone who said they aren’t eating outside of traps, so this is just my guess)

Non-dedicated servers are local servers hosted from Single player mode. The host can interact however their server is limited to (4) players and the players are tethered to the host meaning they cannot travel a predetermined distance from the host.

A dedicated host is a server is used only for hosting an ARK game, so unless you have another PC you wont be able to play on that server you just created.

It is literally impossible that someone is killing me. It would also tell me in my log. When I come back in the game I load to the exact spot I left but it says I died in log and my inventory is empty

And if I was actually getting killed then when I came into the game it would be on the map screen waiting for me to pick my spot to spawn in.

Depends on what it’s’ base stats are and what you want to use it for. But in general I like to get stamina to 1500-2k for any kind of flyer, then kind of take turns leveling health and melee. Others do it differently, and dump all the points into melee and don’t care if the wyvern dies. I’m a little bit more cautious and like to have a high HP as well so that I don’t run as high risk of losing my creature.

As far as I’m aware, PF doesn’t change the drag weight of dinos even when it changes their size. So for example my argy was still able to pick up an elder otter that was big enough for me to ride. It looked absurd like it was floating over the argy’s head, but it still worked.

Something that is really a minor problem but still very annoying, some cave entrances on my server are "blocked" or covered by the terrain mesh. It looks like as if there shouldn't be a cave there. every afternoon me and my friends are playing ark together on the island. we only use one mod and that's dino colours plus and we use our own settings just for qol

but the issue is connecting. I host a non dedicated server for us all to connect on but for some reason my friends can only join if my game has been running for a small amount of time (from boot up to launching the server). if they leave afterwards they can't connect back because it times them out for some reason and they can only join just in rhe few minutes of the application running. is there a way I can fix this or is there an alternative to allow them to connect? they join through steam and the tether is set to max

I think that is a fairly common issue with nondedicated servers. Unfortunately nondedicateds are pretty unstable and unreliable currently and often don't have fixes for things like that. I would recommend trying a dedicated server if at all possible

a nice rule of thumb is that you want to always have above something like 650 weight, and 810 weight is the point where you'll have 650 weight even with swamp fever
so for level 66 you want ~650 weight 300 hp, then work towards the 500 hp, then work towards the ~800 weight. after you have ~800 weight and 500 hp, points are basically 4fun into whatever you feel like

Sorry, not familiar with anything other than The Island, but thought I'd share that Tek Parasaurs (several females one male) are great for metal. Just mate them when you need more, hatch their eggs, and use a Therizinosaurus's bite attack to get metal. I do 5 eggs at a time and get 900+ metal

That's mod dinos that have been loaded into a map without the mod they're from. You can either delete the obelisk file (and lose all explorer notes, minimap data and other stuff in the obelisk), or edit the file directly to get them back, but that's probably a more painful process because it's not really.. meant to be edited

unfortunately not. that is set server side. typically you'd have all the engrams match for a cluster so you don't run into that

you can do a auto unlock setup but then youbdont actually buy engrams they are just given, depending on your playstyle that may or may not be ideal

yes, just use the same engram ini settings for all servers

You know how certain engrams have a "Learnable on X" overlay when you look at the engram list?

I'm not sure if specifying which map a engram can be learned on is something that can be controlled in settings. I believe that is hard coded into the game

there may possible be something I'm not aware of. only thing I've ever messed with is adding engrams that weren't available to maps, and setting cost or auto unlock. never did come across that goes deeper into engram requirements like which map is required

shouldn't. the reason the desmodus starves (afaik anyway) is because blood has a cooldown to eat that doesn't pass when unloaded. you can feed them meat and not have them starve

Survivors, pls help...... Don't know what happened to my game but when I'm installing the game, it's saying corrupt disk on steam..... If anyone know some fix about this pls hell..... I will appreciate ur help
