If you put pillars on the sides of the window below vertically, then you should be able to put 2 half railings diagonally into that gap, if you would want to keep it vanilla pieces ;)

if you are fine with "loosing the window", you could use two of the normal sloped wall corners. just build it offset by half a wall, like u would on a normal "2x2 house-roof"!

Not bad, if you want to make more straight walls, use the Fence Supports, and you can snap walls and pillars to make a much more fluid wall, uses less material too then making it out of foundations to keep the walls straight

The premium part is unlockable by purchasing the ckf mod upgrade. (Upgrading the mod version fully unlocks both the cosmetics version and the mod version)

If you have upgraded ckf the mod everything will be unlocked now in both the cosmetics version and mod version. I have a build question for all my Master Builders out there. How to you keep the pillars from exploding when you place them at the side attach point on a foundation? I have used the half step trick to get pillars to go lower and lower into the ground but even next to a foundation as soon as the adjacent pillar is removed the one attached to the foundation explodes. Any tips?

So...raw meat is 1206 tilled from meat seeds on x2, that would basically be 10 tek crop plots to black box a Dino on meat...

I was thinking of 2 stacks of 5 plots snapped, then an empty plot space between the next two stacks of 5 and so on, using a thyla since they are small and can move around a smaller area easier.

Would love to see screenshots of other people's setup for their tek plot/meat plants for those who stacks the plots, my main goal is to clear the exact amount of plots I need to black box fully without hitting more plots than needed and wasting meat. So was looking for inspiration.

A few smaller, less-memey rules of thumb:
if you have a flat wall, add building sticking out from it
If you have a repeating texture, cover it with pillars, wall decorations, or a building sticking out from it
If a roofline looks flat and plain
Cover it in chimneys, more rooflines, or a building sticking out from it
TLDR: varying your surfaces, materials, and overall shapes makes a house more interesting, and add a building sticking out from it

As a separate rule of thumb for beginner builders seeking higher interests: “rule of thirds” is great, with or without any context

Another good way of approaching builds is"is this structurally sound/seem to make sense" sometimes just adding "supports" that would be needed in rl for the same build can make all the difference

you have to make sure you have "real connections" !
and sadly in ark, if you have different "turns" they will NOT CONNECT! i mean, lets say you have a north and a south facting(turned) ceiling, they will NEVER connect! only if you add a pillar/beam at their borders.....
use debugstructures to check all of your connection borders. or ditch your insanely ugly pillar forest entirely (its the most unreliable support you can have, as soon as you pick one up somewhere you break connection & you have high chance the new one does NOT CONNECT) better go with 'snapped in line' foundations! 🤓

This skin corruption bug is awful and really disappointing that it still hasn’t been fixed. Its been effecting peoples builds for almost a year now. The worst part is that it spreads, who ever looks at your build and then looks at other peoples builds is then effected and may start as a piece or 2 and then keeps getting worse till it completely effects your build. The Skin corruption is completely ruining builds. I recently tried to rebuild on SP a gorgeous taj mahal I made for a build challenge and the corruption happened again, which honestly broke my heart. Going in and out of render distance temporarily removes it, but only for a few minutes before it comes back. I’ve already logged a bug report, but I think more people need to speak up about this issue because there are so many amazing modders creating beautiful skins for the community, and this bug takes away from all that work. This really needs to be addressed and fixed.

it looks to me like the first image is real and the other 2 are using the first image as a reference to "draw" over it...with AI...there are so many artifacts in the 2 last pictures and it's not realistic that anyone would spend the amount of time it would take to draw a sketch of that magnitude to then create the final out of...just take a look at the railings on the left side bridge...in both "sketch" and final image they are the same way distorted...."almost" as if the final image was created first and the sketch created from the final image with a lineart kinda filter....

Left side is 1 tek crop of the 4 crops, right side is 2 Stim, 2 Narc, 2 Tinto, and 4 Mejo, middle has one of each of the non-Mejo colored berries. He sorts them into the fridges, pulls fert from the vault, and even funnels Mejo into the Tek Trough as a backup feeder 😄

I can see it now, the inventory was altered completely, the writing is all scribble gibberish, the angles, structure skins, and some of the textures aren’t real or make much sense, but at a few second glance it didn’t catch me

Also the area is far larger than what the structures there could provide area-wise

Still an interesting idea of making a waterfall/fountain temple there
Would love to see someone take the design’s concept and iterate it , can fit a tiny town or at least a good few floors worth in the actual in-game space (like an actual temple, not a tiny ass fountain)

basically. there is a was to lower or raise your snap points by like 1/8th of a wall at a time. a dedi is like 3/8th's or something like that so it makes it perfectly flush if you do it 3 times

before I learned how to do it this way i would eye ball it with a foundation and build up unil i got the right height. the other method is exact every time. there is a video on youtube somewhere but i can never find it

You need Bob’s Tall Tales for the frontier window skin. Apply the skin to four sloped walls that have been placed in a diamond shape. You might need a ceiling or small pillar to snap it properly.

Yeah gates don't do well in anything but flat terrain. And even if you get the gate to work you probably won't be able to place the actual door. You need to build foundations or ceilings to place your gates

built this from Etholdir's video with tweaks. bc of landscape (Hidden Lake) I had enough room to tuck a water reservoir under the deck and put my generator and smaller water tanks under floors. I also have a 3 story greenhouse behind the base. ASR Tek and Tek Glass, Cherry Trees SD, JVH Landscaping, Frankis Deco. Plus a garden terrace that i used the new easter skins on.

oh I added on to the roof on the long part, it's overhanging the garden terrace now, and I also added in a second level of flooring in the crafting area for breeding. It's right under the roof, so I can breed and catch eggs and newborns with ease.

I'm a PS5 player, and to export template data, I first place the template in the field, access the blue silhouette to turn the blueprint into an item, and then give it to a PC player friend to export it for me. However, it seems that in my PS5 version, it's not possible to place a template with more than 1400 parts unless it's locally. Previously, I could place templates with over 1500 parts, but that's no longer possible. Therefore, as a PS5 player, I cannot export templates to shared data.
If a patch is released that allows the installation of approximately 2000 template parts on the PS5 version via a multi-server, as was done previously, I will consider sharing this build on a sharing site.
