Will a 187 yuty, 160 deadon, 3 lv200 diens and about 15 rex's with 14~20k health and 1~1.6k melee be able to handle the island bosses without much trouble?

as for saddles, the deinons will NOT survive beta bosses if they have low armour saddles

That mod recently disappeared from Steam workshop and we can no longer connect to our dedicated server cluster because of it. We have a copy of the mod files. Is there a way we can get connected with the mod so we can convert our modded items back to vanilla items before removing the mod permanently?

if putting the mod files in the server and client location, and mod id in activemods, doesn't work- probably not easily. a mod with samenamed items might work but then you'd need to set up conversion for that to vanilla to get rid of it

The server was running just fine with the mod active but clients started to fail connecting saying "Failed to install mod map" even though they had the mod on their client PC. element shard 1 to 100 (max stack = 1000)
alpha apex tribute 1 scroll to 15 alpha apex tributes (max stack size = 100)
apex tribute 1 scroll to 15 apex tributes (max stack size = 100)
artifact 1 scroll to 1 artifact (max stack size unknown) (set to 1000 I guess....should not matter I suppose)

They decided not to go the weird hunch back that JW/JP gives it’s stegosaurs and actually made it reasonably accurate minus the plates and thagomizer. It actually has great anatomy for a Stegosaurus.

It looks like they based the design (both old and new) off of the Sophie specimen which is one of the most complete stegosaurus found. They also gave it some great abilities and it’s a heavily viable creature mid and early late game

You fight the monkey, the spider and the dragon....once you get their heads, you use that for the final ascension fight and upon completing that, you get an extra 15 levels added to your max cap.

There are 3 levels for each fight....gamma is easiest, then beta, then alpha. You need to defeat the bosses on alpha before you can do the ascension fight.

If you fight them right, you can get away with using high-level wild-tamed dinos and descent saddles for gamma fights. Beta requires some breeding and better saddles. Alpha requires the best saddles and good breeding of dinos.

If you are on a cluster with all the maps, I'd recommend getting a shadowmane (lionfish) from Genesis2 as your boss fighting dino. When breeding them, they mature VERY fast compared to a Rex and they require NO saddle.

Whats a cluster

It is a server (or group of servers) that host multiple maps so you can transfer your character (dinos and items) between maps.

I run a cluster of 2 servers....one is Windows, the other is Linux and between both of them, they host all 11 official maps.

You can start on the island and then transfer over to Ragnarok to get some dinos, then transfer back to the Island, etc.

Also, the cluster servers tend to run 24/7/365 so time continues to pass even if you are not online...unlike single-player.

Boost rates for SP, yes....but it doesn't feel like ark when I do that. If I were to play single player, I'd just host a local box to run all the time....but if I do that, why not host it where everyone can connect and play....which is what I'm doing. LoL

I prefer private servers to public and never had much issue with boosted rates personally (outside some rates that're fine for some creatures being ridiculous for others). Def a preference thing though, I see where you're coming from

The one thing I've learned playing Ark is that if something terrifies and harrasses you, turn it around and use it to your advantage. Raptors bother you? tame an army of them to keep you protected. Gigas bothering you? Tame / breed better ones. 😉 Or build massive walls. hehehe

Not if you do it right. Use a flyer like a pteranadon, 3 dino gateways (no doors), place in a |_| shape but apart from each other so you can easily fit between corners (their feet cannot) and lead them into the trap with the flyer....once locked in place with the bear trap, fly behind it and place the 4th gateway to lock it in

I'd use crossbow + tranq arrows and have plenty of narcs to keep it asleep. Multiple crossbows if primitive cause they will break

I use same technique for spinos that I use for gigas but with no bear trap. I use behemoth gateways with doors....lead them in, fly out and close door behind it locking it in

Even easier if you have a tribemate that closes door behind you

Or sacrifice your body and let them chomp you in the trap while buddy closes gate if you like dying. 😉

Entities in ark do not despawn unless there's some specific circumstances (like wyverns going too far from the trench) so there's no room left on the server for any night-specific dinos to spawn. The only exception are megalos but they just curl up and sleep during the day, not despawn.
